I usually just use sunscreen, but this was my first time trying sun patches. I was a bit worried since my skin is super sensitive, but surprisingly, I didn't get any blemishes. I thought the patches might feel stuffy, but they weren't uncomfortable at all, and they were barely noticeable when applied! Plus, when I put serum over the patches, there was this pleasant cooling effect that felt really refreshing.
ConsPersonally, I found them a bit tricky to apply. Maybe it's just me being clumsy, but if you don't stick them on just right, you get these little air bubbles forming. That was a bit frustrating for me. I might just have butterfingers though!

When I applied essence over the patch, it was almost invisible. They adhere perfectly to the skin, so much so that they were a bit difficult to remove. Initially, I was skeptical about their invisibility, but after applying them, I was amazed at how unnoticeable they were. They're surprisingly thin, which contributes to their seamless appearance. The essence had a creamy texture and was quite rich. There was plenty of product, enough to apply all over my face.
ConsUnfortunately, when I applied the patches to my face, they wrinkled and bubbled (see the 3rd photo for reference). Removing the patches was quite painful and caused irritation to my skin. After taking them off, the areas where the patches were applied became red and sore. It's challenging to apply them neatly, so I feel like I might end up wasting a few as practice patches, which makes me think they're a bit pricey.
TipIt seems crucial to apply them neatly. Applying them when your skin is dry might make it easier to stick them on. I think it takes some practice to apply them perfectly.

After applying the patch and using the included ampoule, it feels incredibly lightweight. I went to the living room after putting them on, and while I could tell which side I'd applied incorrectly, the properly applied side was barely noticeable!
ConsBecause they're so thin, they can be a bit tricky to apply. If you're not careful, they can easily fold or trap air bubbles...
TipI think if you apply the ampoule, let it dry, and then put on makeup, it'll be even less noticeable.

I was worried that sweat might reduce the effectiveness of sunscreen in summer, but this seems to alleviate those concerns! And the patch was incredibly thin. When I removed the protective film, I almost thought I hadn't taken it off - that's how thin it was!
ConsAs you can see in the photo, it was more noticeable than I expected. I'm not sure if I applied it incorrectly, but small air bubbles formed, and when I applied foundation or cushion on top, it looked a bit odd. Most importantly, it didn't suit my skin well. After wearing it briefly and removing it, my skin felt itchy. I think if I had worn it longer, I might have developed blemishes.

This summer, I noticed everyone at festivals wearing flesh-colored sun patches under their eyes. So when I saw it on The Hwahae Testers, I quickly applied. 1. The patch is thin and adheres well. The adhesion is incredible - if applied correctly, it's barely noticeable. The second photo shows the patch applied. When applied well, it's truly invisible! 2. Seems great for prolonged sun exposure. Constant sun exposure is a fast track to skin aging... When sunscreen alone feels insufficient, wearing these sun patches seems more effective in blocking UV rays. 3. Highly portable. It's super convenient to carry around, just like bringing sheet masks when traveling. 4. Covers a large area. The patches are sizeable, covering a wide area, which is great for people with larger faces! 5. Makeup can be applied over the patch. When applying makeup over the patch, if you mix sunscreen and foundation or use a thinner consistency, it spreads evenly without getting caught in the patch and remains unnoticeable.
Cons1. Perhaps because I have thin skin prone to redness, I immediately developed flushing after applying the patch... The second photo shows the redness that appeared. 2. While the thinness of the patch is good, small air bubbles form, making it a bit tricky to apply... As shown in the third photo, you'll have to accept some bubbles. 3. Removing the patch is quite irritating. Although it's thin and adheres well, removing it caused significant irritation. My cheeks felt tingly for almost an hour after removal. Even when removing it gently and slowly, the irritation was considerable. + When we tested it on my husband's skin, he said it felt fine even when quickly peeled off. He didn't feel any stinging at all. While this product was a bit challenging for me with my thin, redness-prone skin... I think people with more resilient skin would find it satisfactory.
TipThis seems like it would be great to use during festivals, outdoor sports (golf, soccer, hiking), or on days with intense UV exposure.

The adhesion is excellent. Applying the boosting essence that comes with the patch seems to improve adherence in areas that might lift. Naturally, it works best when applied to a matte surface for better adhesion and longevity. I was concerned about sunscreen application interfering with the patch edges, so I applied sunscreen first, removed excess oil, then attached the patch. Followed up with cushion foundation and finishing powder. I was curious about which makeup step would make it least noticeable. In my experience, they're all quite similar. The edges blend in slightly better when the skin is moisturized, like after essence or cushion foundation, but the patch itself remains equally visible. Under indirect lighting or from a distance, it's hardly noticeable, but under fluorescent lights or upon close inspection, people might ask what's on your face. Unlike some acne patches that can catch makeup around the edges when applying mineral sunscreen or cushion foundation, this one doesn't due to its ultra-thin nature - even thinner than film or wrap. Removal was nearly irritation-free, with no skin pulling, and it didn't require scraping off with fingernails. I wore it for over 12 hours, including 2+ hours of outdoor exercise, and it neither fell off nor lifted. The large size covered almost down to my upper lip line, which was great for covering my numerous freckle-like blemishes.
ConsAs many have mentioned, its thinness makes it challenging to apply neatly. I thought those skilled at applying phone screen protectors would excel at this, but even though I'm usually good at it, I messed up my first attempt. I thought I'd done well when I applied it in my room, but under bright lighting, I saw so many air bubbles it looked like my face was covered in white flakes. Being a frequent mask-wearer, I just left the botched application on and wore a mask over it. Another drawback, which might be unique to me, is that smiling creates wrinkles with this on. It's like the fine lines that appear when you smile with extremely dry skin right after cleansing. I took a photo of this too, but it's too unflattering to share. This could be because I prefer matte finishes for both skincare and makeup, always finishing with powder. I meant to test without powder, just cushion foundation, but I keep instinctively applying powder. I'll update the review if I manage to test without it.
TipGiven the price point, if you mess up the application and don't have plans, just wear a mask over it rather than wasting it. For best application: Instead of pressing down with your palm all at once, start from one side and smooth it on gradually, like applying a phone screen protector. Also, only peel off a small part of the outer film initially to avoid accidentally removing the entire patch, which makes reapplication difficult.

However, if you're someone who dislikes the feeling of something stuck to your face, you might find it slightly bothersome. Also, while using sunscreen would probably solve this issue, in my case, since I don't use sunscreen, only the areas where I applied the patches didn't tan... so... I keep wearing them continuously.
ConsI first tested the ampoule that came in the package on my chin, but it caused blemishes. So I used it without applying it as directed in the instructions.
TipMake sure to use sunscreen or carry a parasol!! You need to keep wearing the patches because only the areas where they're applied don't tan.

It's barely noticeable even when worn alone, and when used with the included ampoule, it adheres even better to the skin. The ingredients are also quite good.
ConsEven after applying the ampoule, it feels quite dry as time passes. I didn't notice at first, but when worn for longer periods, it caused small bumps to appear. Also, it can be quite tricky to apply if you're not used to it.
TipFor better application, press firmly on the cheekbone area and remove carefully.

From a distance, you can't even tell I'm wearing it. As I recently started learning tennis, I realized how much I needed something like this. Luckily, I got the chance to try it as part of The Hwahae Testers. When you apply the serum, it absorbs naturally and feels like it's completely adhering to the skin.
ConsFor some reason, I struggled to remove the protective film at first. There's also a slight tendency for the edges to lift, so if you don't apply it carefully, it might start to peel off. I'm not sure if it was because of the sun shield, but I did notice a small blemish appear later. I'll need to use it a few more times to be sure. I'd recommend that those with super sensitive skin avoid using it for extended periods.
TipThe best thing about this product is how thin it is. I didn't feel like it was getting in the way during sports activities. That's not to say you can't feel it at all though! While I don't have any major tips, I found that the included serum, which has various skincare benefits, can be applied to your face or neck after letting it absorb into the patch. Due to its high concentration, I felt like it really helped brighten my complexion. Plus, each pack contains five patches, which makes it great value for money!
