Snatched this from my mom's vanity - it's a winter essential for my dry skin! As someone with sensitive, blemish-prone dry skin, I've always been wary of oils. I feared they'd clog my pores and cause breakouts, which would be a nightmare for my sensitive skin. So I started by mixing tiny amounts with my cream or using just a drop or two as a final step. Turns out, it's amazing at locking in hydration! There's no greasy residue or leftover feeling at all. It pairs beautifully with richer creams, leaving my skin hydrated even after washing my face the next day. I'm blown away - it's opened up a whole new world of skincare for me! The dropper dispenses just the right amount each time, making it super easy to control.

The packaging is inconvenient.
It doesn't seem to have a dropper, likely due to concerns about rancidity or hygiene, but even without a dropper, the packaging should be more user-friendly. Sometimes the product doesn't come out at all, and other times it pours out too much.

-Fragrance
There may be some likes and dislikes regarding the scent.
These days, even traditional Korean herbal cosmetics don't tend to have such a strong herbal fragrance, but the ginseng scent was quite strong when I first started using it. However, it does become more muted over time as you get used to it.

-Price
I've tried various oils when my skin gets dry, and while some products are worth the price, this one feels a bit overpriced.
There are many more affordable options that provide similar or even better moisturizing performance, so I'm not sure if I'd purchase this one again.

As the weather gets colder, this dry skin requires essential oils.

When my skin gets dry, I mix 1-3 drops of the oil into my cream depending on my skin condition, and it keeps the moisture longer than using the cream alone.

-No oiliness
This seems to depend on the amount used and the application method. Personally, I prefer mixing the oil into the cream rather than using the oil alone as the final step in my skincare routine. Lately, I've been mixing about two drops into my cream, and it doesn't feel oily at all.

-Clean application
It's not an extremely heavy type of oil, so there's no sticky residue left behind, and the absorption isn't too slow either. It has a nice middle-ground feel, not too light or too heavy.

-Versatile
It's usable without any issues.
I didn't experience any irritation on my skin.

Mixing a few drops into the cream and applying it in the morning results in a honey-like complexion!!

The packaging is the type that needs to be shaken out, but if it's a dropper type, it would be more convenient to use and the consistency of the amount applied would be better.

In the evening, after applying and sleeping, I can feel my face glowing and the texture becoming smoother. If I use it consistently, it seems to help with wrinkle improvement as well~ In the winter, adding a few drops of oil to the cream makes it sufficiently moisturizing. The fragrance is also nice!

✔️Fragrance: The subtle oriental fragrance is so lovely~! It's one of my favorite scents, but my younger sibling doesn't like oriental shampoos, so they said they don't like it. 😢 However, the healthy fragrance makes me feel good!
✔️Moisturizing Power: I have very dry skin, and I've usually used bio-oils for their cost-effectiveness. But the Donginbi oil feels less oily, while still providing good moisturization.
✔️Spreadability: It's not as slippery as pure oil, but has more of a serum+oil texture, so it feels like I'm doing a full skincare routine! It also seems to absorb well.
✔️Packaging: It's so luxurious that even my mom loved it! I'm considering purchasing it as a gift for my parents.

Tip:
After cleansing, use a toner or essence to prep the skin. Then, dispense about 3 drops of the oil into your palms, rub your hands together to warm it up, and gently press and pat the oil into your face, starting from the center and working outwards. 
This helps the oil absorb more easily into the skin. You can also use it to lightly massage the face, neck, lymph nodes, and trapezius area.

 The amount of product seems a bit small... I looked into it and understand this is a premium line, so the price point is higher. Honestly, the effects and benefits of the product are really great, but it's hard for me to justify purchasing it with my own money since the price-to-volume ratio feels a bit burdensome.

It would be difficult for me to use this on a daily basis due to the high price and relatively small amount of product. I wish the volume was a bit more generous for the cost.

 I have an extremely dry skin type, so using just a lotion alone felt a bit lacking, especially in the winter. But when I layered the lotion, followed by a moisturizer and then this oil, the balance felt just right.

Compared to using the lotion alone, there was definitely more stickiness and oiliness with this product. But it wasn't overly heavy or burdensome. In fact, it felt more refreshing and lightweight compared to other oil products I've tried. I think this could be suitable not just for dry skin types, but also for combination or oily skin, without being too much of a concern.

The packaging is really elegant and luxurious-looking, which I think would make it a great gift, especially for more mature recipients who appreciate that sophisticated aesthetic. The ginseng scent might also appeal to that demographic. The unique dropper-style dispenser was a bit unusual at first, but I learned it's designed that way to minimize air exposure and oxidation of the product. It didn't end up being inconvenient to use once I got used to it.

Overall, this oil product provided great nourishment and balance for my extremely dry skin when used in conjunction with my other skincare steps. The texture, finish, and packaging all exceeded my expectations.

Skin Type: Dry, Dehydrated, Lots of Wrinkles, Decent Texture

Scent: They said they infused the oil with ginseng, and the real ginseng scent was so nice! It had a more premium feel, not an artificial fragrance.

Texture: I was worried the oil would be super thick, but it was just less oily and more watery like an essence, so it wasn't burdensome to use.

Absorption: As the texture suggested, it absorbed well like an essence! But I think it's better to mix it with a cream rather than using it alone - using it alone felt a bit fleeting.

Effects: Lately my skin has been getting very dry and the cold wind wasn't helping, so regular creams weren't enough. Using the oil together with a cream really improved the hydration and reduced tightness a lot!! I've tried all kinds of face oils, and this one was the most satisfying!!

For those with dry skin like me who feel dryness regardless of oil, this is something you can use without burden. I'll recommend this to people with dry skin, and I'm planning to gift it to my mom later on too.

When I took it out of the packaging, I realized it's only 15g - a surprisingly small size. The downside is that I'll have to be more careful in using it, but the upside is that it'll be very travel-friendly and won't take up much space in my bag.

However, considering the quality of the ingredients and the fact that I don't need to use a large amount at a time, I think the cost-effectiveness is not too bad. Although it's a dry oil, I was worried it might feel sticky and tacky, but to my delight, it absorbs smoothly and leaves a soft, moisturized feel. Compared to other oils, this one seems to absorb faster. The remaining oil on my hands doesn't feel slippery, but rather softly sinks in.

I used this oil after my usual essence, and when I felt the oil had fully absorbed, I finished with a moisturizer. Then, right before bed, I added a couple more drops of the oil to create a protective layer, and woke up the next day still feeling soft and hydrated without any dryness.

If I get the chance, I'd love to try the entire line of products from this brand. As someone who already enjoys the scent of red ginseng, this has been a very soothing and pleasant experience.

Flip the bottle upright and gently squeeze out just one drop into your palm. Spread it evenly across your entire palm, then lightly press it onto your face.

Two drops would be too oily.

I'm not sure about the immediate effects, and it didn't seem to suit my skin, which was really disappointing.
I tried using it consistently, thinking it might just need an adjustment period, but I kept breaking out all over. I even tried reducing the amount, but it still didn't work for me.
And the price...? Unless it's a perfect match, the price would be a bit of a letdown.

The dropper nozzle would be better if it just slightly tilted, as the oil tends to drip down the side of the bottle, which is such a waste.

I had really high expectations for this product, but it just didn't work for me, which is a real shame.
