Skin Type: Dry, Dehydrated, Lots of Wrinkles, Decent Texture Scent: They said they infused the oil with ginseng, and the real ginseng scent was so nice! It had a more premium feel, not an artificial fragrance. Texture: I was worried the oil would be super thick, but it was just less oily and more watery like an essence, so it wasn't burdensome to use. Absorption: As the texture suggested, it absorbed well like an essence! But I think it's better to mix it with a cream rather than using it alone - using it alone felt a bit fleeting. Effects: Lately my skin has been getting very dry and the cold wind wasn't helping, so regular creams weren't enough. Using the oil together with a cream really improved the hydration and reduced tightness a lot!! I've tried all kinds of face oils, and this one was the most satisfying!! For those with dry skin like me who feel dryness regardless of oil, this is something you can use without burden. Since it's an oil, I applied it in the last step of my skincare routine before bed, using it instead of a cream. The scent is a subtle herbal medicinal fragrance, not too overpowering, and while I'm not usually a big fan of such scents, I was worried the fragrance would linger on my skin, but fortunately it dissipated quickly! The main advantage is that it's not sticky or greasy, and absorbs incredibly fast. I've tried various face oils before, and while most of them absorb well, after some time or the next morning, my face would end up looking very shiny and oily, and I'd get some breakouts. I usually don't like the fragrances in oil products, but I've been tolerating them, thinking I'm using the pure essence. With the Donginbi product, I was initially unsure if I could handle the fragrance, but as soon as I applied it, I thought "Oh, the fragrance is so nice!" and felt good every time I used it. 🤎 Absorption I think the absorption is good. I haven't used many oil products before, but my skin tends to not absorb them well, and there's always a greasy residue left on my face, which worries me about clogged pores. I was so pleased when I first received the product, from the packaging to the luxurious product container. The price is quite high, but it would also make a great gift. The container has just the right amount, so I'm using 2-3 drops at a time. The fragrance contains fragrance ingredients, but it has a subtle, pleasant ginseng candy scent that gives a comforting feeling. As a combination of normal and dry skin in my late 40s, I am personally very satisfied with both the fragrance and the formula. The formula is not at all heavy, so it applies well on its own, and mixes well with lotions or creams. I happened to have a set of Donginbi that I had received as a gift, and I used the skin, essence, emulsion, oil, and cream in that order for 2 weeks every evening. In the evening, I put about 3 drops on my palms, rub them together to generate warmth, and then apply it to my face. Then I follow up with a light moisturizer. It's really nice! Using it in the morning before makeup can be a bit heavy, so I only use about a drop on days when my face feels dry from the wind. As I use it, my face seems to become smoother, which I really like.
