Personally, I prefer mixing the oil into the cream rather than using the oil alone as the final step in my skincare routine. Lately, I've been mixing about two drops into my cream, and it doesn't feel oily at all. -Clean application It's not an extremely heavy type of oil, so there's no sticky residue left behind, and the absorption isn't too slow either. It has a nice middle-ground feel, not too light or too heavy. -Versatile It's usable without any issues. I didn't experience any irritation on my skin.
Cons-Inconvenient packaging The packaging is inconvenient. It doesn't seem to have a dropper, likely due to concerns about rancidity or hygiene, but even without a dropper, the packaging should be more user-friendly. Sometimes the product doesn't come out at all, and other times it pours out too much. -Fragrance There may be some likes and dislikes regarding the scent. These days, even traditional Korean herbal cosmetics don't tend to have such a strong herbal fragrance, but the ginseng scent was quite strong when I first started using it. However, it does become more muted over time as you get used to it. -Price I've tried various oils when my skin gets dry, and while some products are worth the price, this one feels a bit overpriced. There are many more affordable options that provide similar or even better moisturizing performance, so I'm not sure if I'd purchase this one again.

It had a more premium feel, not an artificial fragrance. Texture: I was worried the oil would be super thick, but it was just less oily and more watery like an essence, so it wasn't burdensome to use. Absorption: As the texture suggested, it absorbed well like an essence! But I think it's better to mix it with a cream rather than using it alone - using it alone felt a bit fleeting. Effects: Lately my skin has been getting very dry and the cold wind wasn't helping, so regular creams weren't enough. Using the oil together with a cream really improved the hydration and reduced tightness a lot!! I've tried all kinds of face oils, and this one was the most satisfying!! For those with dry skin like me who feel dryness regardless of oil, this is something you can use without burden. I'll recommend this to people with dry skin, and I'm planning to gift it to my mom later on too.
ConsThere wasn't really anything disappointing! Those who really hate the ginseng scent should avoid it... Oh, and the price? Of course, considering the ingredients and effects, I think it's worth it!
TipUsing it with a cream is the best!

I've never used any other type of oil on my face. It's not greasy and feels light / It's not sticky and has a clean, light texture, more like a rich lotion than an oil. (With jojoba oil, you can just pour it out freely, but this oil is more expensive and the instructions recommend dispensing about 2 drops onto your palm, rubbing them together, and then applying the warmth to your face, which may be why I experienced it this way!) I don't use many drops, but the moisturizing power is pretty good. I don't use it alone, but apply it after toning or using pads to smooth my skin texture.
ConsThe dispenser is the same as the one I dislike for the iHerb tea tree oil... The contents are nice, but it's hard to control the amount I want to use. I tried to capture the difficulty in the photo, but the drops fell randomly, so it didn't work out. With the tea tree oil, towards the end, it would start dripping out the side, so I'm worried this one might do that too. Since the volume is so small, I'm worried that a dropper-style dispenser would lead to wasteful use, so this type of dispenser was probably chosen for that reason...
TipIt's a bit pricey, but the concept and scent are great, so I think it would make a wonderful gift for an adult, along with Sulwhasoo products.

It's amazing that real Korean red ginseng is contained in the oil, which gives it a more premium feel!!! Perhaps that's why the ginseng scent is stronger and lasts longer compared to other products. Since the volume is small and the price range is high, I end up using it frugally as even a single drop is precious🤣 The formula is a yellow-tinted oil that doesn't feel too greasy, and when applied with a cream, it absorbs well and feels great. It's kind of like using an ampoule, you know? If you prefer a heavier oil texture, you may find it a bit lacking, but since it's more like a high-concentration ampoule rather than a heavy oil, I found it very pleasant to use. Oils that are too heavy can be burdensome..haha
ConsThe disappointing part is that the price range is too high, so it might be difficult to come across easily.
TipOne drop is not enough, and about two drops is the right amount to use. In the morning, it felt a bit heavy as an oil, but using it in the evening on areas needing moisture was great before going to bed~!

After pondering between moisturizing cream and oil, I had the good fortune to come across the Donginbi Signature Oil. 🙏🏻 I was initially hesitant to use oil as I usually break out in small pimples, so I applied a very small amount at first. But contrary to my expectations, it didn't feel greasy, rather it absorbed smoothly into my skin. As time passed, my skin felt more nourished and supple. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I've been using it for about a week now, and so far, I haven't experienced any breakouts or adverse skin reactions.
ConsThe scent might be a hit or miss for some people - it has a distinct red ginseng candy aroma. Haha, I personally didn't mind it, but those who dislike it might not enjoy it. Also, the cap is a bit inconvenient.
TipJust dispense a drop or two onto your palm, warm it up with your body heat, and gently pat it into your face. It'll absorb seamlessly~

The great thing was that unlike other oils I've used before, there was no excessive stickiness or slipperiness after use, and it was absorbed well, leaving just a moisturized feel. The finish has a refreshing, natural glow, and when I applied it to my boyfriend's wrinkled skin for a week, the moisturizing effect was noticeable, and the improvement in skin texture was visually confirmed. This seems to be an oil that is serious about anti-aging. The luxurious packaging was a plus for gift-giving.
ConsThe scent is too strong, so I don't like it. Older people might like this scent, but young people might find it overpowering.
TipDispense two to three drops into the palm of your hand, rub your hands together to generate heat, and then gently press it into the face to allow for natural glow and maximum hydration.

The more I applied it to my skin, the more I felt it being absorbed. I experienced a strong calming effect. Although it's an oil, it didn't feel greasy or burdensome at all.
ConsThe price is relatively high, so I felt burdened to purchase and use it. The volume is relatively small.
TipIf you continue to gently massage the oil all over your skin with your hands, you can feel it warming up and being absorbed even better, and your skin will feel soothed!

I didn't know it was a product made by Cheong Kwan Jang, but it has a premium feel to it. And even with just 1 or 2 drops applied, the oil is quite concentrated, so the scent lingers subtly for quite a long time. If I apply it like a serum after toner and basic skincare in the evening before bed, I feel soothed throughout the night. The oil has a deep yellow color, but it absorbs well without any greasiness. It's the perfect product for this time of year when the weather is rapidly becoming dry, as it helps address dryness. The packaging also feels luxurious, like a precious item, so I think it would make a great gift. Especially for parents! The packaging and price range seem suitable for parents or those in their 40s and above.
ConsI was quite surprised that the 15g product costs a whopping 120,000 won, but then I understood the price when they said it's extracted with just 1 drop from each red ginseng root by Cheong Kwan Jang. So the price seems justified in a way.
TipWhen it comes to using a facial oil product most effectively, I believe the best way is to combine it with a massage. After applying 1 or 2 drops on the face, doing a gua sha or manual pressure point massage can really help the oil absorb better and provide much greater benefits.

Scent The scent was kind of like a red ginseng candy...? That's the feeling I got! I liked it, but those who dislike red ginseng candy might not. It's a bit like my mom's old cosmetics smell...? An old-fashioned adult cosmetics vibe...? Moisturizing First of all, I was satisfied that it didn't feel greasy. I applied the essence and then dropped about two to three drops into the palm of my hand, rubbed it, and patted it all over my face, which worked well. Packaging The packaging looked quite luxurious, so I think it would be nice to give as a gift.
ConsThe price aspect can't be ignored... I was surprised that it was higher than I expected.

I was actually quite worried about this product being called an 'oil', but when I used it as directed, it didn't feel oily at all and just perfectly addressed the dryness, which I really liked! ✅️ Fragrance The fragrance may be divisive, but for me, it was a wonderful blend of traditional Korean medicinal herbs and aromatics that made me feel healthier.
Cons✅️ Packaging The packaging was quite large compared to the product size, which was a bit disappointing. However, I understand that they were trying to convey the premium Donginbi brand, so it's an understandable tradeoff. It's really just a minor nitpick on my part.
