The finish feels somewhat oily... but if you make sure it absorbs well, it's really nice.

I bought this based on the word 'researcher' in the name. After use, it feels like it fills your skin with deep hydration and leaves a thin layer of moisture on the surface! It's not a cool or refreshing sensation though. I expected a texture similar to Tor*den, but it was different. It needs a bit of time to absorb and you should pat it in to help absorption! After it's absorbed, it feels like it's preventing moisture evaporation. Not recommended for very oily skin, but great for combination dehydrated to dry skin types. By the way, the sunscreen from this line is really good!

There are absolutely no downsides! I intend to repurchase. This is the first time I've tried this product through Hwahae, and I'm very satisfied!

[My personal skin type: Combination dehydrated skin with dry cheeks and chin, oily forehead, nose, and eye area. Thin skin prone to redness and blemishes. Sensitive skin that easily develops eye irritation and small pimples if not careful. Main skin concern is enlarged pores. Skin tone is between 23 and 24]

Absorbs well, hydration, lasting power, and improved deep dryness during the product usage period

The absorption is incredibly smooth. It's the best among all the ampoules I've tried so far.
The hydration and lasting power were also good. While it doesn't absorb quickly, it felt like applying an ampoule pack. I used to experience some deep dryness after cleansing, but it improved after using this product.
After consistently applying it throughout the trial period, I noticed that even the drier areas of my skin, like my cheeks, became less dehydrated.

I recommend applying it in the evening after exfoliating!

The disappointing aspect, as I mentioned earlier, was the finish on the skin! However, this can vary from person to person, so please keep that in mind.

Let me start with the conclusion:
As someone with combination dehydrated skin and hormonal cystic acne, this product wasn't quite the right fit for me.

It's a product packed with hydration, but depending on your skin condition, it might not absorb well and leave a slippery residue on the surface.

I only used it in my evening skincare routine, and from the third day onwards, I applied it after exfoliating! Patting it in small amounts multiple times seemed to help with absorption, which noticeably reduced the slippery feeling.

Perhaps due to this slipperiness, there was a slight tendency for makeup to pill when used underneath.

It stung a bit if it got into my eyes or on any small cuts on my face (a sensation I hadn't experienced with my usual emulsion).

I usually avoid purely hydrating products as they tend to dry out my skin, so even with serums, I always opted for ones with some oil content. When I won this hydrating serum, I initially thought I'd need to use it with other products.

Typically, other hydrating serums would evaporate quickly on my skin, feeling almost pointless to apply. But this product was different. After application, it's clearly water-based, yet it forms a light coating that prevents moisture loss. I found I didn't need to layer other products, which was surprising even in winter.

Impressed by its non-drying effect, I deliberately tested it alone during The Hwahae Testers period. While I felt it absorbed well, some users found it slow to absorb. As someone who prefers a dewy finish, I didn't mind this.

For daytime use under makeup, I applied a small amount. At night, I'd generously apply it like a mask. Overall, my complexion became clearer, and amazingly, I didn't experience dryness even with minimal application during the day.

This product challenged my belief that I always needed oil-based products for my skin. Despite its oil-free formula, it keeps my skin from feeling dry. I'm definitely planning to repurchase it for summer use!

Due to the oil, I'm not sure if it's the rich texture, but it feels a bit slippery on the skin.

My skin was itchy and red around the cheekbones, so I tried this ampoule instead of my usual Wellage one because it has good soothing ingredients. After using it for a day, I woke up with small blemishes, and the redness remained unchanged. I couldn't continue using it. I didn't feel it provided much hydration, so I'll probably stick with Wellage. Not sure if it's the oil content, but it doesn't absorb quickly.

Applying the Lililil Calming Recovery Ampoule after using a hydration-packed ampoule worked even better for me.

I expected it to be quickly absorbed into the skin since it's a hydrating ampoule, but for me, it felt more rich than hydrating. I have dry skin with deep dryness, but when used alone, I didn't feel like it was replenishing moisture.

It's more accurate to say it acts as a barrier to prevent moisture loss rather than providing a hydrating sensation. It's like creating a protective layer on the skin. (I previously used To** ampoule)

The texture wasn't runny, making it easy to apply.

The formula is closer to oil than water, so it paired well with the Dal* sunscreen. I applied sunscreen, followed by this brightening moisturizer, and then makeup - no pilling for me!

I was worried about blemishes due to the texture, but fortunately, I didn't experience any breakouts.

If you have oily skin, make sure to only apply this at night.
Applying it during the day could lead to a real disaster.

As I've mentioned, for someone with extremely oily skin like me,
the application feel and so on... ah... it really feels too heavy.
To be completely honest, while others say it absorbs smoothly,
I don't see that at all and it feels like it's just sitting on top of my skin.

My skin is extremely oily with deep dryness.

First off, the packaging is simple and the amount is generous.
When I first dropped it on my skin with the dropper, the texture seemed similar to other ampoules.
But as I started to spread it, I was quite surprised.
For a hydrating ampoule, it feels like applying oil - definitely not lightweight, but really slippery like oil.
Even after application, there's a shiny layer as if coated with oil, which left me puzzled, so I checked the ingredients.
Surprisingly, there are no oil ingredients - it's supposed to be a moisture barrier!
It feels like the world is playing a trick on me.
As time passes, it does absorb somewhat, but there's still a kind of... shiny? glossy? feeling.
There's also a bit of stickiness left.

As someone with extremely oily skin, I usually feel suffocated and shudder at products that feel sticky or heavy after application, so I was quite disappointed.

But why did I give it 5 stars?
Because when I woke up the next day and cleansed my face, my skin was incredibly moisturized... The deep dryness was gone...
And there were no blemishes at all...

I use Innisfree retinol, and when I apply this ampoule followed by retinol... the next morning when I cleanse my face, I can really feel how smooth it's become!

I highly recommend it for night care!

It doesn't absorb quickly, so I recommend waiting a bit after applying the ampoule before putting on cream.

It's so gentle that I can confidently say there's absolutely no irritation.

As mentioned in the product description, there's a noticeable oil-like feel. When I first applied it, it felt like a film coating my skin.
But it's not oil, it's a moisture barrier!
Usually, when I apply oils, they clog my skin and cause blemishes, but I didn't see any of that with this product!
I think it would be even more effective if used in the dead of winter rather than the current season.

Typically, a 50ml ampoule or serum lasts me about two months.
However, this one provides such exceptional hydration compared to other hydrating ampoules that you can use less product and still achieve satisfying moisture levels. So it should last longer.

✔️Soothing
The hydration alone is already satisfying, but with chamomile and cica ingredients, I could also feel it soothing any blemishes after extractions.

It's a bit disappointing that it leaves a rich residue. I miss the bouncy texture you'd expect from a hydrating ampoule...

When I first opened it, I was impressed by the beautiful bottle and color!
Upon application, it had either no scent or a slight cosmetic fragrance, and the texture was incredibly watery and hydrating!
It felt moisturizing and nice when applied, but since it left a rich feeling on the skin, I didn't use it under makeup. When applying it at night, it doesn't absorb quickly, so I gently patted it in and followed up with another cream. After absorption, I noticed my skin felt less tight, which was great!
