When I won this hydrating serum, I initially thought I'd need to use it with other products. Typically, other hydrating serums would evaporate quickly on my skin, feeling almost pointless to apply. But this product was different. After application, it's clearly water-based, yet it forms a light coating that prevents moisture loss. I found I didn't need to layer other products, which was surprising even in winter. Impressed by its non-drying effect, I deliberately tested it alone during The Hwahae Testers period. While I felt it absorbed well, some users found it slow to absorb. As someone who prefers a dewy finish, I didn't mind this. For daytime use under makeup, I applied a small amount. At night, I'd generously apply it like a mask. Overall, my complexion became clearer, and amazingly, I didn't experience dryness even with minimal application during the day. This product challenged my belief that I always needed oil-based products for my skin. Despite its oil-free formula, it keeps my skin from feeling dry. I'm definitely planning to repurchase it for summer use!
ConsIt stung a bit if it got into my eyes or on any small cuts on my face (a sensation I hadn't experienced with my usual emulsion).

While most water-based products quickly evaporate, leaving skin feeling dry, this one is completely different. It glides on effortlessly, creating a protective layer that keeps skin hydrated and comfortable. Unlike high-panthenol products that can feel stiff, this maintains a uniquely soothing moisture without any heaviness. It reminds me of the Slowtherapy Calming Essence Toner (check my review list for more details on that product!) Hydration: Despite its lightweight serum texture, it forms a protective barrier and creates tiny water droplets on the skin, maintaining excellent hydration. Just 1-2 applications provide ample moisture. Highly recommended for those with dry skin who want a simple yet effective routine. It gives your face a beautiful glow with minimal effort. Sensitivity: I started using this after long-term antibiotic use had compromised my skin barrier. Irritation? What's that? It actually soothes any irritation from cleansing in just one application. It's perfect for my extremely sensitive, dry skin and hasn't caused any blemishes.
ConsDrawbacks: The only downside I've found is that it stings quite a bit if it gets in your eyes. While it's incredibly gentle on the skin, it can make your eyes water if you're not careful. If they could improve this aspect, it would be a product I'd reach for time and time again.
TipMy current routine: Morning: Anua Heartleaf 77% Toner (spray) > Lilil Calming Recovery Researcher Soothing Hydration Ampoule > La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 > Aestura Atobarrier 365 Hydration Sunscreen > Clio Kill Cover Founwear The New Cushion or Clio Kill Cover Glow Cushion Evening: Bring Green Artemisia Calming Moisture Toner Pad > Lilil Calming Recovery Researcher Soothing Hydration Ampoule > Isntree Onion Newpair Gel Cream > La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 In winter, I switch to Bioderma Cicabio Pommade or Atoderm Ultra Cream. Occasionally, I'll use the Bring Green Fresh Mask Cica-Soothing or Mediheal Pore-Tox Bubble Sheet Mask right after cleansing, before my evening skincare routine.
