I initially tried Laneige for their famous sunscreen, but then decided to give their hydrating ampoule a go. It's fantastic for deep hydration, making it incredibly useful during dry weather.
ConsIf you apply too much, it might feel a bit heavy for combination dehydrated or oily skin types. While it claims to be oil-free, I notice that when it mixes with my natural oils over time, I tend to get blemishes.
TipFor best results, mix a small amount with your moisturizer as the final step in your skincare routine before makeup. This prevents any greasy feeling or heaviness, while maintaining hydration throughout the day.

No colorants, no fragrances, and free from 20 cautionary ingredients - that's great! And they've used natural ingredients like chamomile and cica with liposome technology... This is just perfect, isn't it? It's truly 100% amazing!) * Texture and Feel (It felt different from other hydrating ampoules I've known and experienced before. As I rolled it on and let it absorb, it felt like a smooth film was coating my skin... How is this possible without oil? It's fascinating. Nowadays, many hydrating products contain small amounts of oil to maintain the oil-moisture balance. But even with products I use regularly, depending on the season or my skin condition, those tiny amounts of oil can sometimes cause blemishes or make my skin excessively oily. So it's amazing how this product feels so smooth and maintains hydration without any oil. Above all, I could use it on my redness-prone and problematic skin without any allergic reactions, and it had a great soothing effect too!)
Cons* Price (The regular price without any discounts might be a bit steep...) * Unfamiliar Texture (If you're used to traditional hydrating ampoules, you might find the texture unfamiliar or even slightly heavy - it's like oil, but not oil? That sensation might take some getting used to.)
TipFor those who find the smooth moisture barrier a bit much, it might be best to use this mainly in the dry autumn and winter months, or as part of your evening skincare routine.

Currently, my skin is combination dehydrated with a lack of moisture due to winter dryness and being in my mid-40s. While my skin's oil production decreases in winter, I can't use thick nourishing creams as they cause blemishes and clogged pores. I had been layering multiple serums and ampoules, and frequently applying a light moisturizer whenever my skin felt tight. ♥ Hydration On the first day, after applying toner multiple times as usual, I used the Lilily Calming Recovery Ampoule once. Surprisingly, it created a moisturizing barrier that felt like an oil, but wasn't! It was fascinating how instantly hydrating it felt. The dryness seemed to disappear immediately. Even though I skipped emulsion and went straight to moisturizer, I felt my deep dryness subsiding. ♥ Texture It has a runny, fluid texture. A small amount creates a moisture barrier that feels rich and gives a glow when applied. The dropper allows for volume control. It's better to apply it drop by drop and let it absorb, rather than using too much at once. ♥ Absorption While it may vary depending on skin type, it doesn't sit on top of the skin. I could apply other skincare products right after without issues, and it didn't cause pilling with sunscreen or foundation. ♥ Packaging The light green transparent glass bottle allows you to check the remaining product easily. The dropper is convenient for applying the ampoule directly to the face. However, fingerprints do show up easily on the bottle and cap. The 50ml volume is sufficient. ♥ Scent It's fragrance-free. I didn't experience any discomfort from the scent.
ConsWhile it's perfect for combination dehydrated or dry skin types with deep dryness, those with oily skin might find it a bit heavy at first. It absorbs quickly and feels moisturizing, but this can vary depending on your skin condition.
TipFor those with deep dryness or dry skin, I recommend applying small amounts of the ampoule multiple times. It gives a glow and feels slightly rich like an oil, but you'll get used to it quickly. The second photo shows a single drop on my bare hand. The third photo shows the ampoule spread out. You can see the Inner Glow, although it might not be captured well in the photo. It's very hydrating.

The moment you use it on your face, it feels like a layer is forming. It has an oil-like sensation, but it's actually a water-based moisturizing barrier.
ConsThough it's not an oil, it feels like one when applied. It might feel a bit heavy at first, but you quickly get used to it after a few uses.
TipIt's more suitable for use during seasonal changes or in autumn and winter rather than summer.

It feels super rich!' It's truly an ampoule suited for dry skin. With my combination dehydrated skin, it initially felt like it created a film. But after letting it absorb, I realized, 'Oh, this isn't bad!' The heavy, suffocating feeling disappeared. My skin tends to be very dehydrated, so I wanted to test just the ampoule's effects. I only applied this after cleansing, and there was absolutely no dryness. No blemishes appeared either, so I'm satisfied! Oh, and this is definitely a hydrating ampoule. When you wipe your hands after applying, it comes off in one swipe!
ConsRight after application, it feels too rich and heavy (this feeling disappears after a while)
TipWhen using beauty devices, other ampoules get used up quickly, but with this one, you can use just a small amount

However, when I applied it to my skin, it absorbed lightly but didn't just evaporate quickly. The texture is thin, yet it feels substantial on the skin, providing a firm grip that prevents dryness - which was a unique and wonderful experience. What's particularly interesting is that chamomile flower water is the main ingredient, which I find to be quite distinctive. It's fragrance-free, has good ingredients, and feels gentle on the skin. As someone with dry skin, I've rarely been satisfied with the hydration from cosmetics, but with this product, I only need to apply a small amount to form a soft protective layer on my skin that seems to lock in moisture. I'm so pleased that I'd be willing to purchase it with my own money in the future!
ConsIt might feel a bit heavy during the summer. Some people might not like the slippery, oil-like texture (though I personally don't mind it and am very satisfied).
TipThe strength of this product is that it's not drying! It's perfect for dry and chilly seasons! It also works well under makeup.

Personally, I think it's a very safe and reliable serum. After application, it kept my skin so hydrated that I never experienced any deep dryness.
ConsFor me, the finish felt heavier than I expected. I thought it would have a super light, water-like texture since it's a hydrating serum, but when I applied it to my skin, it felt like there was a slight oily film. Some might find this feeling a bit stuffy or uncomfortable.

But after trying it, I realized it's not just a quick-evaporating moisture boost. It's much more than that. The Hwahae Testers would love this because even in winter, when you might feel dry after applying toner, ampoule, and cream, this product keeps your skin feeling hydrated for hours. It's perfect for those with super sensitive skin. What's great is that unlike most skincare products where water is the main ingredient, this ampoule contains chamomile flower water. With ingredients like chamomile, centella asiatica extract, and madecassoside, it's ideal for strengthening the skin barrier and soothing blemishes. After application, your skin feels plump and bouncy. If you're looking for a product that leaves your complexion feeling firm rather than just refreshed, this ampoule will definitely satisfy you.
ConsIt has a slightly oily feel, though it's not actually an oil. There's a bit of a surface-sitting sensation, which might feel heavy or uncomfortable for those with combination dehydrated skin.
TipRather than applying this before your morning makeup routine, it would work better as part of your evening skincare regimen after cleansing.
