  1. I'm satisfied that this lip balm has sun protection (surprisingly few lip balms offer UV protection) 2. Convenient size for carrying around 3. Fragrance-free, so it's gentle and suitable for everyone

  1. It tends to break more easily compared to other lip balms 2. If you apply too much, it feels greasy and doesn't absorb well

  Pros

  It's affordable and available at Daiso, with great hydration and no irritation.

  Cons

  There's nothing to complain about... Really, I can't find any downsides. Both the old and new versions are great.

  Tip

  It's perfect to apply before matte lipstick, when you have dead skin cells on chapped lips, or before bed.

  Pros

  The ingredients are great, causing no irritation and being gentle on the skin. After application, it makes my skin incredibly hydrated. It also has sun protection, which is reassuring. I apply it on dry nights before bed. I'm currently using my second bottle!

  Cons

  While it does moisturize, it feels a bit too rich, which is slightly disappointing. Also, I'm not sure if it's just me, but as I use it, there's a slightly unpleasant smell that develops.

  Tip

  Here's my tip: Apply a generous amount to your lips before bed, and when you wake up, gently wipe with a wet wipe. The dead skin cells disappear completely. I've found this product to be the best for gently removing dead skin cells.

  Pros

  It has sun protection, which is great. I have dry and super sensitive skin with a sun allergy, and on hot days, my lips start tingling as soon as I go outside. But this product offers some UV protection, making it perfect for daytime use. It's colorless and odorless, with no irritation. The texture is just right - not too soft or quick to wear off. The crucial hydration factor is moderate to good... not bad at all. And the packaging is a game-changer! Instead of twisting from the bottom, you twist the navy part in the middle to push up the product. It's much more stable and convenient (it's a small detail, but these things really make a company stand out).

  Cons

  There aren't many downsides, but for those of us with extremely dry lips who need to keep lip balm on constantly, you do need to reapply it frequently. Since frequent application is necessary, it would be nice if they came out with some tinted options too.

  I just apply it throughout the day as needed. Personally, I use a richer product at night.
