As a fan of velvety matte lips, I've been trying various brands, and the Rouge Dior Velvet lipstick has truly impressed me. Its powdery finish combined with a non-drying, moisturizing feel is simply delightful. Rather than feeling heavy on the lips, it applies smoothly like a tint, creating a beautiful watercolor-like gradient. The pigmentation is excellent - one swipe is usually enough to achieve the desired color. It doesn't settle into lip lines at all, making it a perfect lightweight, fuss-free lipstick. The 999 shade is a vibrant, clear red that brightens up cool-toned complexions beautifully. The sophisticated color is truly captivating. While it looks stunning as a full lip color, I highly recommend trying it as a gradient - you won't be disappointed! I'm so satisfied with this product that I can't think of any downsides to mention. - by*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRecommendedSep 11, 2024
The color is absolutely gorgeous, and it applies evenly without emphasizing lip lines. It's Dior, so what could possibly be disappointing? Nothing... I just wish it were a bit more affordable. - bo*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 26, 2024
It applies smoothly with a fresh, powdery finish that feels great on the lips. The color payoff is excellent too. The 999 Satin, in particular, is the epitome of a classic red lip. It's my go-to when I want to make a statement with a bold lip. As for the 505 Sensual and 625 Mitzah, they're perfect for everyday wear. I often use them as base colors or on their own, which makes them staples in my routine. As expected... the price is a bit steep. Dior, if you could just lower the price on the lipsticks at least! - rh*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsMay 1, 2024
The brand image and packaging have a bold, edgy vibe with a vibrant red color It's a perfect warm-toned red, but it might look off on cool-toned skin. There are so many affordable and stylish options out there for that chic look - ye********Dry SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 6, 2024
Since lip products are often applied in public, I believe the packaging is important too. Dior's case is absolutely gorgeous. You can control the intensity of the red by adjusting how much pressure you apply. It finishes with a beautiful red color in a velvety texture. It doesn't stain the lips. The price seems to be more for the brand name than the product itself. - al********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 2, 2024
The color is beautiful and it absorbs wonderfully. The luxurious case makes me feel special every time I take it out. Being a matte lipstick, it tends to accentuate dead skin cells a bit. - yu*******Normal SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedNov 21, 2023
I've used this 999 times now! It's not a deep classic red, but more of a clear apple red shade. The clarity makes me think of a spring lip product. It has a deep undertone that really suits me well. I was worried it might be drying since it's a velvet type, but it's not drying at all. The lightweight formula feels incredibly light when applied. The color payoff is strong, so just a few dabs give a definite color boost. The packaging is sturdy with a navy enamel finish and the Christian Dior logo embossed, giving it a luxurious feel. I'm satisfied with the formula, color, and staying power - I've found my holy grail lip product! There's nothing disappointing about the product itself. If I had to pick something, maybe the wicked price? - 20******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedOct 1, 2023
I have combination dehydrated skin that's super sensitive and prone to redness. My skin is particularly vulnerable to oils, heavy oil-based products, strong vitamins, and alcohol ingredients. Pores are my biggest concern. Since I develop allergic reactions to sunscreens, I'm always on the lookout for hypoallergenic options. So far, the recently released Hera blue tube sunscreen seems to work best for me! It's fragrance-free and absorbs well. For a lipstick, the ingredients are pretty decent too. The bright red color doesn't really suit my skin tone... Though the color itself is pretty.
