I bought this at Olive Young during the hot summer, and I've almost used it all up now. It's so refreshingly cool that it almost gives me a brain freeze! Even after using a pre-shampoo, it doesn't lather well, and after cleansing, it leaves my hair feeling not quite clean. - vg****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinAug 15, 2023
Conclusion: If you're dealing with oily scalp, excess sebum, dandruff, scalp odor, or sensitivity, I wouldn't recommend this product. My Scalp Type: Extremely sensitive, very oily with intense scalp odor, requiring twice-daily shampooing. As someone with ultra-sensitive skin, I meticulously check the ingredients of everything I use. Both my skin and scalp produce excessive oil, so thorough cleansing is crucial to prevent clogged pores and scalp blemishes. That's why I shampoo twice a day. Background: Most commercial shampoos cause severe irritation for me, resulting in painful, red, pustular acne where my hair touches my neck, face, and scalp. I've relied on fragrance-free baby shampoos to avoid irritating ingredients. The downside? Baby shampoos lack cleansing power and lasting effects. Even shampooing twice daily doesn't control my oily scalp, and without fragrance, the scalp odor persists. I've been a shampoo nomad for decades. Product Review: 1. Cleansing Effectiveness: ❤️❤️ I tried this after issues with centella-containing products and hair loss. Comparing it to Labo-H for oily, flaky scalps: both cleanse well initially, leaving no itchiness. However, this one causes intense itching, dandruff, and odor after 5-6 hours. I'd never have tried it if the Labo-H didn't contain centella. 2. Scent: ❤ I'm fragrance-sensitive and avoid perfumes. Despite containing fragrance, I gave it a try. The scent is reminiscent of flat, lukewarm soda left out for hours. It's faint post-wash and fades quickly. While it masks scalp odor initially, the effect is short-lived. Unsurprisingly, the fragrance caused major blemishes. 3. Lather and Texture: ❤️❤️ The shampoo has a slippery texture. It doesn't lather excessively, but it's satisfactory for double-washing. Though marketed as cooling, I didn't notice any scalp-cooling effect. 4. Ingredients: ❤️ Great that it's centella-free, but why include fragrance? And not even a pleasant one. The fragrance likely triggered my skin eruption. 5. Effectiveness: ❤️ After finishing a bottle, I saw zero improvement in hair loss. With the Labo-H oily scalp formula, I noticed less shedding, but this product seemed to increase hair loss due to scalp irritation. Try a different Labo-H line. If centella works for you and you have an oily scalp, I'd recommend their oily, flaky scalp formula. - id****Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsAug 2, 2023
The fragrance is so lovely, it gives me a great feeling. My hair feels soft when I rinse it out. It seems to be a slightly acidic product, but since my hair doesn't respond well to low pH formulas, it's just okay for me. - sm*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinJul 31, 2023
The scent seems to last for a long time. While it might be a love-it-or-hate-it fragrance, I personally found it quite nice. As a gel-type shampoo, it was difficult to create lather with my hands, and even when applied to my hair, it didn't foam up well. After rinsing, my hair felt a bit stiff, which was uncomfortable. - st******Combination SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsJul 21, 2023
- Has a cooling sensation, but I'm not sure if it actually cools the scalp : It feels refreshing when it drips onto the hairline, but I can't really tell if it's cooling the scalp (maybe because I have thick, curly hair??) - Doesn't lather well : Even with continuous water and rubbing, it doesn't foam up. If you're looking for a foamy shampoo, you might want to consider other options - Value for money? : 1 out of 3 stars : Apart from the scent and cooling sensation, I can't find any other positives - wk*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 17, 2023
Wow, it's incredibly refreshing! A proper cooling sensation! I never realized how much foam gets on my face while washing my hair until I felt that tingling sensation. In a way, you could say it's quite invigorating! The texture is a clear, gel-like consistency, similar to soda, as shown in the photo. After use, my scalp didn't feel dry. I have a seborrheic scalp, and if I use the wrong shampoo, my skin goes haywire. But this one was fine. The mint scent makes me want to use it again and again. Even now, as my scalp feels itchy, this product is the first thing that comes to mind. It's perfect for summer, isn't it? The foam doesn't lather up as well as shown in the picture. So I usually use a mild product for the first wash, then use this for the second shampoo. Being from Labo-H, I expected better cleansing effectiveness, but it didn't feel particularly strong in that regard. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 22, 2023
It has a refreshing feel. I bought it because it claims to alleviate hair loss symptoms. It only has a cooling sensation. They say it's -9°C cooling, but honestly, I can't really tell. After using it, my hair seems to be breaking off more easily.
