It really swells up the sebum, making it come out easily. However, not everything comes out, so follow-up care is absolutely essential. For sensitive skin, since it's essentially scraping the skin, there's a chance it could cause irritation. - lh*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 24, 2025
I'm finding this really useful for removing excess oil from my T-zone - between the eyebrows, nose, sides of the nose, and chin! While there's nothing I dislike about it, you might feel a slight tingling sensation when removing the oil. Just something to be aware of. - wa*****Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedJun 24, 2025
When I applied this with a cotton pad to my oily T-zone and waited, it dissolved the excess sebum, leaving my face noticeably clearer. After two weeks of use, I feel like the pores around my nose have shrunk, so I'm continuing to use it regularly. The scent is quite strong, and the formula is rather thin, so it can run when used as a cotton pad pack. Those with super sensitive skin should be cautious as it may cause redness or a tingling sensation. This product seems effective for combination dehydrated skin, especially in targeting excess oil in the T-zone. It appears to work hard in cleansing and refining pores. However, the strong fragrance and potential for irritation might not suit everyone, particularly those with sensitive skin. As with any skincare product, it's advisable to patch test first and discontinue use if any allergic reaction occurs. - cl******Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 22, 2025
After a good steam, apply the extra sebum remover to a cotton pad and gently place it on your skin. It dissolves the impurities nicely, leaving your skin clean and refreshed. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. It's just... fine. It's okay. Just make sure to steam your face well before using it. - mi********Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 19, 2025
I use this every Saturday evening, and it's great for softening sebum. It feels refreshingly cool too! While it was effective for sebum control, it was quite harsh on my skin. I wouldn't recommend this for those with sensitive skin. For even better results, try steaming your face with a damp towel for about 5 minutes before applying! - ak***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRednessRecommendedJun 19, 2025
[My honest review after using for over a year] First impression: Right off the bat, the product name gave me a sense of something 'powerful'. It's famous as a 'blackhead-dissolving nose pack', so my expectations were high. I appreciated that it came in a container with a narrow opening, allowing for hygienic use. The contents were a transparent, thin liquid. How to use: You soak a cotton pad generously and place it on your nose or areas with sebum concerns. I mainly used it on my nose, leaving it on for about 10 to 15 minutes. Then, in the final step, I gently swept an acne extractor with a curved edge over the area. Like magic, those visible blackheads disappeared in one go. I was truly amazed at how cleanly they were removed without any irritation to my skin. Changes after use (immediate): Honestly, I could feel my nose becoming smoother after just one use. Especially when rinsing with lukewarm water at the end, gently rolling my nose caused white, dead skin cell-like substance to come off. This felt like the process of removing old dead skin cells along with sebum. After rinsing, my nose was so smooth and clean it was almost glowing - I was really satisfied. The biggest advantage seems to be that despite such powerful effects, there's no skin irritation. With other blackhead removal products, I've experienced redness or enlarged pores if used incorrectly, but I had no such worries with this. Using it just once a week seems sufficient to maintain a clean nose. Since it's not a product that 'yanks out blackheads', but rather 'gently softens and removes sebum and blackheads without irritating the skin', sometimes it feels like deep-rooted sebum remains. It would be nice if there was a set that included a pore brush to clean these out as well. * Weekly maintenance: Using it just once a week is enough for effective results, making it convenient. * Dead skin removal and glow: When washing it off at the end, rolling causes white, dead skin cell-like substance to come off, leaving your nose with a glow. * Soothing is essential!: After sebum removal, it's crucial to calm your skin with a hydrating pad or soothing mask. This helps tighten pores and maintain healthy skin. - se********Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 17, 2025
I switched to this because I wanted something stronger than the Innisfree Volcanic Pore Clay Mask, and it seems to be working well. It doesn't feel like sebum is gushing out dramatically, but when I use it, my nose feels soft and smooth. However, you should only use it on your nose. If you apply it to the T-zone thinking you have pores and sebum there, you'll end up with blemishes. It's good for use on the nose specifically. I recommend leaving it on for about 10 minutes before showering, then after you're done showering, either gently massage the area with your fingers or use the Innisfree Volcanic Pore Clay Mask to exfoliate the nose area. This effectively removes dead skin cells and sebum, leaving your skin clean and clear. - rl********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 13, 2025
After opening up your pores during a bath, apply this product to a cotton pad and place it on areas with excess sebum. After a while, you'll see the sebum clumping up like little balls! It's great for removing blackheads and whiteheads without irritation! It has a noticeable scent, so those sensitive to fragrances might not enjoy it. Instead of using cotton swabs, I use a water peeling device to gently exfoliate. The ultrasonic vibrations really help draw out the sebum effectively. - il******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessJun 10, 2025
I have combination dehydrated skin with redness and deep dryness, plus oily areas around my nose. My main skin concerns are deep dryness, blemishes, and pores. If you have similar skin, this review might be helpful! I mainly used this product on my nose, T-zone, and around my mouth and chin where I have excess oil and uneven texture. The price is quite reasonable for the amount you get, so you can use it generously without worrying! I think it's important to manage oily skin regularly, so the value for money is a crucial factor. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to soften sebum as well as I had hoped, which was the biggest disappointment. I have a lot of deep, large pores with sebum, so I really look for products that can effectively soften and remove it. This product seems to work better for surface-level sebum and dead skin cells, but doesn't quite reach the deeper layers. Because of this, I found myself leaving it on for longer periods. However, this caused the cotton pad to dry out, requiring reapplication. The container design and the thin consistency of the product make it difficult to add more during use. While it was fine initially, I noticed some irritation when left on for too long. A helpful tip: decant some of the product into a small dropper bottle. This makes it much easier to reapply when the cotton pad dries out during use! - ha*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityJun 5, 2025
After using this, my skin completely flipped out. I developed contact dermatitis along the areas where I applied it with a cotton pad, forcing me to visit a dermatologist. My blackheads became more noticeable than before, and my skin turned bumpy, red, and irritated. I experienced a burning sensation and constant itching. The areas where I applied the product kept shedding thin layers of skin. I've never had this kind of reaction with any nose pack before. Not only do I regret spending money on this, but I also had to pay for dermatologist visits... My skin reacted badly, peeling for over two weeks, and my pores enlarged. If you have super sensitive skin, please patch test this product before applying it to your entire face. It's always better to be cautious with new skincare items, especially if you're prone to allergic reactions or have blemish-prone skin. Remember, what works for some may not work for others, so listen to your skin and discontinue use if you experience any irritation or discomfort.
