It's moisturizing and absorbs well. You can use it as both a lip balm and lipstick. With a bit of skill, it can even work nicely as a blush, applying evenly. The case is unique and pretty. It's a bit soft and tends to melt easily. Also, the color payoff is more intense than expected and can look a bit cakey.

I love how glossy it is! I can't think of any real downsides. If I had to nitpick, it would be nice if the expiration date was printed on the product itself, not just the packaging. You can also use it as a blush. Just gently pat a small amount with your fingers and it feels wonderfully hydrating. It doesn't cake or settle into lines. First off, I love the watermelon scent when applying it! While it's a moisturizing type, it's not sticky at all. Instead of rubbing it in, gently patting it on gives a prettier color payoff. The pigmentation is excellent and it feels lightweight, which is great. Being on the hydrating side, it does transfer when eating, but it leaves a slight stain and doesn't wear off messily, which I appreciate. The packaging is cute and it fits perfectly in your hand, making it very satisfying. As someone with sensitive lips, I've been using this for a while and the color is beautiful. The case is also pretty. The staying power is a bit weak. There aren't any major drawbacks, but if I had to nitpick, maybe the price?

A wonderfully moisturizing lipstick with vibrant color payoff that I absolutely adore The price is quite steep. I suppose it's unavoidable given it's Yves Saint Laurent, though
