I tried this during winter, and as someone with combination dehydrated skin, I felt it was a bit drying and didn't sit well. However, the skin finish was quite pretty, and with proper amount control, the coverage was good. Initially, it applies moistly, but as it sets and becomes matte, it's easy to touch up and layer. I've been using the Espoir Be Velvet Cushion exclusively for two years now. It feels moisturizing when first applied, but later settles into a nice matte finish, making it perfect for year-round use. It truly stays put without breaking down or separating on the skin. The product seems to run out a bit quickly. However, its advantages far outweigh this minor drawback. I've been using this cushion for about a year now. Even though I have combination skin, I prefer a semi-matte finish. This cushion is fantastic because it doesn't look cakey or patchy even when applied quickly. When it does wear off, it fades beautifully. The shade is just right for me - not too light, which is perfect! Personally, I found the design a bit disappointing. I wish it looked a bit more attractive. It looks great even with a quick application, but if you use a spatula to apply it, the staying power is absolutely incredible!

It sets incredibly fast and doesn't let excess oil come through, yet it doesn't leave my skin feeling deeply dry, which I love. The shade matches perfectly with my skin tone - I usually use shade 21 in other cushion brands, and this one gives me a beautifully radiant complexion. It feels so comfortable and natural, like I'm not wearing anything at all. I wouldn't recommend this for long-wear makeup looks. When it starts to break down, it severely emphasizes dead skin cells and tends to settle into fine lines. It makes your skin look visibly parched, as if it's cracking from extreme dryness. Even with a proper base and my combination skin type, the overall finish is really disappointing. For those with super sensitive skin or blemish-prone complexions, it's advisable to patch test this product before full application. While it offers a natural glow, its long-term wear might not suit all skin types, especially in challenging weather conditions. The color is truly beautiful and it has great staying power. Highly recommended for those with oily skin! I wouldn't recommend this if you're concerned about pores. Because it's matte, you need to blend it quickly. If you pat it in after some time has passed, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells. The amount is really small. The coverage is excellent, and there's no darkening! Plus, the bright shade really gives you a radiant complexion. Since shade 20 used to be 13, there's no room for color selection now. It's great that this product offers good coverage without causing any darkening effect, which is a common concern for many. The coverage is excellent. Plus, the large mirror makes touch-ups a breeze. While it's supposed to be velvety, it finishes too matte. Also, the lid is flimsy, causing the puff to keep falling out.
