Since it's not mildly acidic, it definitely gives a squeaky clean feeling. It actually contains exfoliating ingredients, so it leaves your skin feeling cleaner than a typical low pH cleanser!
ConsHowever, its actual cleansing effectiveness isn't particularly outstanding... It seems to be slightly below average for a mildly alkaline cleanser. It's just sufficient as a second-step cleanser. Also, I have thick skin with a strong barrier (I can handle most irritating products like retinol and prescription-strength treatments), but when I used this as a mask and finished with a rolling motion, then immediately applied skincare, my skin stung terribly. My face felt so hot and irritated that I had to finish with a gentle moisturizer, and even applying that gently was painful. Considering it was more irritating than a 300mg tretinoin cream, I almost had a skin reaction... While the ingredients list doesn't look bad, many reviews mention eye irritation, so it seems to be quite harsh on the skin.

ConsMy eyes stung terribly and my skin felt a burning sensation that was really painful. Afterward, I broke out in acne-like bumps, experienced itching, and suffered for several days.

However, I couldn't solve my dead skin cell issue. My sister was using this product, so I decided to give it a try. After cleansing, my skin felt incredibly soft and hydrated - I loved it! It's also really effective at removing dead skin cells!
ConsI think it's because of my sensitive skin... I didn't even use it as a mask, just for light cleansing, but I developed some red, folliculitis-like bumps on my face. My skin conditions were almost healed, so I thought it would be okay to try a new product, but I shouldn't have let my guard down. While it's certainly effective at removing dead skin cells, it seems to be quite harsh on the skin.
TipIf you have sensitive skin like mine, this product might be too irritating. I'd recommend sticking to mild, low pH cleansers instead.
