But this product is amazing! When I find a product that works well for my skin, I use it until it's discontinued, but the one I was using before was too expensive. After much deliberation, I decided to try this one, and it seems really gentle. I plan to keep using this sunscreen until it's discontinued. The texture isn't as thick as a lotion, but it's a bit sticky when applied. It absorbs well, but I found it easier to use when I mixed it with a lotion on the second use. The fragrance is close to unscented and doesn't irritate my eyes at all. When applied evenly, it provides a natural tone-up effect, so I don't need to do additional makeup.
ConsThe product had a slightly thick and creamy texture, which surprised me at first! I usually only use a foaming cleanser for my skincare routine, but I didn't feel like it removed everything completely.
TipYou can apply it smoothly without feeling heavy by mixing it with a light lotion or basic skincare product.

Given my job requires constant mask-wearing, the CeraVe Atopure Mild Sunscreen is a godsend. It doesn't clump or leave residue. Even with my combination dehydrated skin, there's no pilling when I apply it over a generous layer of moisturizer. During a water park visit, reapplying every 2 hours didn't cause any caking, clumping, or residue. What's more, when I shared it with my kids (elementary to high school age), none of them experienced any irritation or eye discomfort.
ConsCompared to other sunscreens, it feels a bit thicker, which can be a bit inconvenient when reapplying outdoors with potentially unclean hands.
TipI found it easier to apply by using small amounts multiple times due to its slightly thick texture.

It's a kind sunscreen the whole family can use. Though it feels a bit thick at first, once you roll it on, it quickly becomes smooth and applies with a nice moisturizing effect. The gentleness is its standout feature - it's so convenient that everyone from our 4-year-old to mom and dad can share one tube and apply it easily.
ConsThe real downsides are the white cast, application, and rich feel. While the white cast is somewhat unavoidable due to the gentle ingredients, and you can achieve a more natural brightening moisturizer effect with repeated rubbing, the initial application feels very stiff. You really have to work it in to reduce the white cast, otherwise it can leave patchy marks on a child's face. For me, it feels a bit heavy and suffocating, with what seems like high oil content, which is disappointing. My husband, who dislikes sticky products, also gave it a thumbs down.
TipThe initial application has a very noticeable white cast. Make sure to rub it in thoroughly until the pale appearance subsides. Then it will look more like a natural brightening moisturizer.

Since it's safe for children, I used it with my 11-month-old niece when we went to a water park. At first, I was concerned about the thick application, but as I spread it, it became easier to apply evenly. I recommend applying it in small amounts and spreading gradually! There's no particular scent, and it rinses off well in water, making it convenient for both kids and adults to use. After using it, I didn't experience any dryness or blemishes, so I'll likely continue using it. It's reassuring that it's a vegan product certified by animal protection organizations!
ConsIf you apply too much, it becomes difficult to spread due to its thick consistency. When you apply a lot and play in the water, it tends to run off in white streaks.
TipThe product absorbs well if you take out an appropriate amount and apply it in sections.

I appreciated that it wasn't sticky after application.
ConsIt feels quite stiff when first applying. I wish it was more hydrating for better absorption.
TipRecommended only for those who can tolerate the initial stiffness. If you can get past that, it's a decent product.

It doesn't irritate my eyes. I'm not sure if it's because I have a poor sense of smell, but it seems fragrance-free to me. The SPF rating isn't bad either! You can apply it on both face and body, even with kids. When you receive it, the box and product are sealed, so there's no need to worry about hygiene.
ConsIt's a bit thick. I'm not sure if it's because I use atopic cream as my base skincare, but it feels a bit heavy. There's a slight white cast. However, if you pat and rub it in well, only about 5% of the white cast remains. It feels a bit heavy, and you can feel the richness right after application.
TipSince it's such a gentle product, I think it's great that both growing kids and parents raising them can use it. As someone with super sensitive skin, I find that I'm fine when I apply this sunscreen and do light makeup!

I love that it doesn't sting my eyes. I'm satisfied with the high-quality ingredients. My skin tends to be super sensitive, but it felt comfortable all day long.
ConsThere's a white cast initially, which they said would disappear after a while. However, after it fades, there's a slight shine left behind. Also, it absorbs a bit more stiffly compared to other gentle sunscreens.
TipThey say you can apply this alone without other skincare products, which seems great for summer as it won't feel heavy. I appreciate that my skin doesn't get dry or feel tight throughout the day.

I felt reassured knowing it contains 100% organic non-nano zinc oxide, which is safe enough to be used in diaper creams. It's great that Ceravera sunscreen is non-nano, as sunscreens shouldn't be absorbed into the skin, making it easier to cleanse off too. While it offers high UV protection, I particularly liked that it also contains ingredients that help with hydration and strengthening the skin barrier - it's a sunscreen that considers skin health holistically. The thick consistency prevents it from running, making it easy for kids to apply themselves. Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it's moisturizing and absorbs well. I have very dry skin, but even when I only used the Ceravera sunscreen, I didn't feel any tightness or dryness. There's some initial white cast, but it disappears when you rub it in. It doesn't sting the eyes, so I can confidently apply it on my child's face. The fresh, powdery finish makes it great for body application too. Overall, I'm satisfied - it has good ingredients, is gentle, non-irritating, and hydrating.
ConsWhile it absorbs smoothly and feels moisturizing, there's still a slight thickness typical of mineral sunscreens. However, it's hydrating enough that even those with dry skin won't experience any tightness.
TipI apply it on my daughter's face, but the powdery finish also makes it great for arms and legs. She dislikes sticky sunscreens, and while this feels slightly moist at first, it leaves only a soft, dry feeling after a while, making it ideal for body use.

My son is approaching his teenage years, and he's becoming increasingly conscious about his appearance. Fortunately, he still has clear skin, and I want to help him maintain it. With such a safe sunscreen, we'll definitely keep using it! There's a slight stickiness right after application, but after a short while, it seems to absorb, leaving just a moisturized feeling. They claim it's passed a cleansing effectiveness test, but honestly, I'm not sure about that. Ideally, any cosmetic product shouldn't leave residue, but since he's a boy and doesn't use cleansing foam, I can't really verify how well it washes off. Still, I'm comfortable using it because it's free from harmful ingredients and doesn't cause any blemishes.
ConsWhen applied directly to bare skin, it feels a bit thick and leaves a white cast. If you don't spread it carefully, it's quite noticeable. Unintentionally, you end up applying it very meticulously. While they say it can be used on the whole body as well as the face, the amount seems too small for that. I wish the volume was a bit larger.
TipRather than applying it directly to the skin, it spreads much more smoothly and easily if you use a moisturizer as a base first.

The best part is that it's a mineral sunscreen, so there's no eye irritation or tingling sensation. The gentle ingredients make me feel comfortable applying it even on my child's skin.
ConsHowever, being a mineral sunscreen, it works by creating a protective layer on the skin rather than absorbing, which inevitably leads to some stickiness as the key ingredients need to adhere to the skin. While the texture looks thin, it actually feels quite thick when applied and leaves a noticeable white cast.
TipMost mineral sunscreens seem to share similar drawbacks, so if these aspects bother you, you might prefer a chemical sunscreen instead.
