My skin is extremely sensitive, so when I use products that don't suit my skin, my face becomes swollen, puffy, or I get hives. But this product is amazing! When I find a product that works well for my skin, I use it until it's discontinued, but the one I was using before was too expensive. After much deliberation, I decided to try this one, and it seems really gentle. I plan to keep using this sunscreen until it's discontinued. The texture isn't as thick as a lotion, but it's a bit sticky when applied. It absorbs well, but I found it easier to use when I mixed it with a lotion on the second use. The fragrance is close to unscented and doesn't irritate my eyes at all. When applied evenly, it provides a natural tone-up effect, so I don't need to do additional makeup. The product had a slightly thick and creamy texture, which surprised me at first! I usually only use a foaming cleanser for my skincare routine, but I didn't feel like it removed everything completely. You can apply it smoothly without feeling heavy by mixing it with a light lotion or basic skincare product. - 64*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 3, 2025
Since my face would break out when I used regular sunscreen, I decided to try a product meant for babies. If you experience skin reactions from sunscreen, give this a try! As it's made for little ones, it's incredibly gentle. Being a mineral sunscreen, it doesn't sting the eyes and provides excellent UV protection. The finish is nicely moisturizing, and I could feel a slight cooling effect. The absorption was pretty good, and I loved that it didn't dry out my skin. Highly recommended for those with dry or super sensitive skin! The sunscreen has a slight scent, which might be worth noting if you're sensitive to fragrances. There's also some white cast, though it does fade over time. The finish can feel a bit heavy, and there's a very slight stickiness to it. To reduce the stickiness, try mixing the sunscreen with an emulsion or cream before applying. - eu********Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedSep 18, 2024
It's truly mild, making it so pleasant to apply! While there is some white cast initially, if you wait a bit, it all absorbs nicely. I don't worry about it and just apply freely. The unscented version isn't bad, but I can't help thinking it would be even better with a fresh, natural scent like I've experienced in other products recently. - ki******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRednessRecommendedApr 8, 2024
I love that the CeraVera Ato Mild Sunscreen isn't sticky and doesn't run off. It absorbs well and stays put. It's a bit disappointing that there's a slight white cast. Other than that, it's pretty decent. - co********Dry SkinSensitive SkinJan 19, 2024
I thought it was moisturizing and fine. When I applied it, there was no stinging sensation, so I assumed there wouldn't be any issues. However, perhaps due to its excessive oiliness or the butyl octyl something-or-other, the irritation was severe. My skin was completely upset for about 5 days. Using a cleansing milk on top of that probably made things even worse. The last photo shows my skin before application. - ii***Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedOct 31, 2023
Great deal on Hwahae with a buy one, get one free offer. It's a mineral sunscreen, so it's a bit thick and needs to be spread quickly. However, it doesn't leave the skin feeling dry. For best results, apply it after using CeraVe emulsion - it's the perfect combination! There's some white cast initially, but it fades over time, so it's not a big issue. I tried it on my neck, and it caused some redness - possibly irritation. My neck is super sensitive though, so I'm not entirely sure if this product is the culprit. It works well on my face, so I'm continuing to use it there. Make sure to thoroughly hydrate your skin with your base skincare routine before applying this sunscreen. Spread it quickly and evenly over your face for the best results. - yo***Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 24, 2023
I often avoid sunscreens because they feel sticky and heavy, but this product is fantastic as it's not sticky at all. It spreads quickly, making it easy for kids to apply, and even dads find it convenient to use. Plus, it contains ingredients that protect the skin barrier, so I think I can skip the emulsion and just use this product alone. There's a slight white cast, but it feels more like it's evening out my skin tone, so I didn't mind it. When applying emulsion on the kids, I squeeze out some sunscreen too and apply them together. It's so convenient to finish everything in one go! - ac********Dry SkinRecommendedAug 19, 2023Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It's reassuring to know that it's free from 10 harmful ingredients and is an extremely gentle sunscreen. The fragrance-free formula is even more comforting, and unlike some unpleasant fragrance-free products, this one is not bothersome at all. I really appreciate the fragrance-free aspect. The product volume is disappointingly small. While it can be used up quickly, the value for money is somewhat lacking. - dl********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 16, 2023Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The texture wasn't problematic at all, making it perfect for applying a thin layer before makeup. It also provides excellent sun protection, which is fantastic! The best part is that it's vegan, so I can use it with peace of mind. Once I finish this, I'll definitely consider repurchasing! There was a slight white cast, but it wasn't too noticeable when spread evenly. It's worth noting that it's not particularly hydrating, so keep that in mind. Also, it might be a bit challenging to use for water activities. Since it's not very moisturizing, I found it's better to apply thin layers multiple times using a slightly damp cushion or puff rather than using your hands. I wouldn't recommend applying a large amount all at once! - le*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedAug 14, 2023Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Given my job requires constant mask-wearing, the CeraVe Atopure Mild Sunscreen is a godsend. It doesn't clump or leave residue. Even with my combination dehydrated skin, there's no pilling when I apply it over a generous layer of moisturizer. During a water park visit, reapplying every 2 hours didn't cause any caking, clumping, or residue. What's more, when I shared it with my kids (elementary to high school age), none of them experienced any irritation or eye discomfort. Compared to other sunscreens, it feels a bit thicker, which can be a bit inconvenient when reapplying outdoors with potentially unclean hands. I found it easier to apply by using small amounts multiple times due to its slightly thick texture.
