To be honest, I didn't find many positives while using it. When applied to hands, it feels smooth and powdery, seemingly filling in fine lines. However, on the face...
ConsI'm at a loss for how to use this effectively. Typically, primers should be applied sparingly, so I used very little. Yet, it didn't cover pores, caused pilling, and seemed to prevent my base makeup from adhering well. I thought it might be my imagination at first, so I tried multiple times, adjusting the amount, but it just doesn't seem to work for me. Using this alone worsens my base makeup condition. Even if I could overlook the pilling or separation, it doesn't even cover pores or smooth texture as expected. Moreover, the packaging seems unsuitable for a primer. While the heavy glass container may look attractive, it's not ideal for a product that requires precise amount control. The glass pump bottle isn't the best choice, and it's impractical for travel or carrying around. Since primers are used in small amounts anyway, it would have been better to reduce the volume, use a tube packaging, offer it at a lower price point, or create multi-packs for promotions.
TipThe review highlights the importance of finding the right primer for your skin type and makeup routine. It also emphasizes how packaging can significantly impact a product's usability and appeal, especially for items like primers that require precise application.

ConsIf you apply it too thickly or don't let it absorb properly, your makeup may pill.

It's become such an essential item that I don't even want to apply makeup without it. Especially around my nose area, I always made sure to apply this before my foundation.
ConsSince the packaging changed: 1. Sometimes it pills like dead skin cells when used with certain skincare products. (This never happened before the reformulation) 2. Even after applying this and doing my makeup, the area around my nose still gets oily. There's no reason for me to use this anymore. (Before the reformulation, it kept my nose area matte)
Tip3. I'm looking to switch to a different primer. Any recommendations from fellow Hwahae Testers?

ConsIf you apply too much, it can sometimes pill... It might be better to use a spatula

It even enhances the longevity of blush, preventing any creasing or separation. Even after 8 hours, the lasting effect on the cheeks was remarkably good.
ConsHowever, when applied to the T-zone where I have more noticeable pores, the makeup tended to pill a bit. As time passed, I experienced some uncomfortable tightness in my skin.
TipSo, I've found my perfect routine: I use a different primer for my T-zone and this Code product for my cheeks. If you're after that silky-smooth cheek look, I absolutely recommend giving this a try!

After using thicker formulas, I really loved how moisturizing this one felt. ✅ Application It applies smoothly with a hydrating feel. I loved how it goes on light but finishes with a soft, matte touch. Unlike some primers that pill, this one doesn't budge - which is great! ✅ Scent It has a subtle powdery fragrance. ✅ Makeup and Pore Coverage I prefer applying it with a brush rather than my fingers. It covers pores well! It's also great to use over sunscreen. ✅ Longevity I noticed it lasted about half a day. When used with a cushion that tends to break down, it improves longevity and prevents the makeup from deteriorating. As someone with dry skin, the biggest advantage is that it doesn't cause deep dryness. It's perfect for touch-ups - I use a cotton swab with a bit of emulsion to clean up, then reapply. I keep some in my makeup pouch for on-the-go fixes! I'm on my second bottle and will definitely repurchase when I run out!
ConsIt doesn't completely fill in pores for that porcelain skin look. I don't have large pores on my nose or T-zone to begin with! You must control the amount - applying too much will definitely cause pilling. I actually prefer using the tube sample that came with it. I prefer the tube packaging.

As someone with very oily skin, my base makeup usually gets greasy quickly, but applying this before foundation helps control oil production.
ConsIt's a bit disappointing that if you apply slightly too much, it can cause your foundation to pill.

ConsSometimes it feels like my makeup might pill, but I think that happens when I apply too much primer

I'm really impressed with this one! It gives a strong sensation of filling in all the pores, which I love.
ConsIt was a bit disappointing that after some time, the cushion foundation seemed to separate. I also noticed some pilling when applying the cushion.

When you apply cushion foundation on skin that feels this soft and smooth, it's fantastic!
ConsJust be careful if you use a very oily cushion foundation, as it can cause pilling! If you don't set it with powder, it becomes super greasy later on.
TipOnly use a pea-sized amount and spread it evenly. Also, absolutely avoid using this with a brightening moisturizer! The two will mix and erase the brightening effect. I had to redo my entire skincare routine because of that mistake. Be warned!
