If you have oily skin or are a primer expert, give this a try. To be honest, I didn't find many positives while using it. When applied to hands, it feels smooth and powdery, seemingly filling in fine lines. However, on the face... I'm at a loss for how to use this effectively. Typically, primers should be applied sparingly, so I used very little. Yet, it didn't cover pores, caused pilling, and seemed to prevent my base makeup from adhering well. I thought it might be my imagination at first, so I tried multiple times, adjusting the amount, but it just doesn't seem to work for me. Using this alone worsens my base makeup condition. Even if I could overlook the pilling or separation, it doesn't even cover pores or smooth texture as expected. Moreover, the packaging seems unsuitable for a primer. While the heavy glass container may look attractive, it's not ideal for a product that requires precise amount control. The glass pump bottle isn't the best choice, and it's impractical for travel or carrying around. Since primers are used in small amounts anyway, it would have been better to reduce the volume, use a tube packaging, offer it at a lower price point, or create multi-packs for promotions. The review highlights the importance of finding the right primer for your skin type and makeup routine. It also emphasizes how packaging can significantly impact a product's usability and appeal, especially for items like primers that require precise application. - os*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 16, 2025
As someone with larger pores, I find that applying this primer before my makeup makes a world of difference. It significantly reduces the appearance of my skin "floating" and keeps my makeup looking fresh and flawless for much longer. The pump dispenser can be a bit tricky to use, and the scent might not be everyone's cup of tea. - pp********Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 14, 2025
My nose and forehead areas were always dry and prone to dead skin cells, but when I apply a thin layer of Fix On Primer, it fills in my pores, allowing makeup to adhere better and preventing flakiness. If you apply it too thickly or don't let it absorb properly, your makeup may pill. - cn********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 11, 2025
I really appreciate its thin, smooth application and how it dries to a colorless, matte finish. The adherence to the skin is pretty good, and it doesn't cause pilling when I apply makeup on top - that's a big plus! While it doesn't offer coverage, it does seem to slightly blur smaller pores. You need to apply multiple layers to see any noticeable concealing effect on pores. I think it would have been even better if it had some coverage. Overall, this product works well as a base, but don't expect it to hide imperfections on its own. It's best for those looking for a lightweight, non-disruptive primer rather than a product that provides significant coverage or pore-filling effects. - yo********Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMay 26, 2025
I've been using this for three years now! While my skin is naturally on the brighter side, I always apply this before makeup because I dislike visible pores. Personally, I prefer primers that are transparent rather than tinted, as I find tinted ones can make my makeup look too heavy. What's important to me is how well it fills in my pores. When I apply it, my skin feels incredibly soft and smooth. The best part is that whether I follow up with cushion foundation or liquid foundation, it creates the perfect base for flawless application. Even after three years of use, I haven't found anything unsatisfactory about it yet. This review highlights the product's effectiveness in minimizing the appearance of pores and creating a smooth canvas for makeup application. The user appreciates its transparent formula and how it enhances the skin's texture. They also note its compatibility with different types of foundation, which is a key selling point for many consumers looking for a versatile primer. - ny******Dry SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 18, 2025
Lately, I've been really bothered by the creasing around my nose, but after applying the Fix On Primer, the creasing has become less noticeable, which I'm really happy about. 👍🏻 I used to feel like my makeup would lift and feel stuffy when I used primers, but this product leaves a soft, powdery finish even on my dry skin without feeling heavy. As it's also vegan-certified, I think anyone can use it with satisfaction. When your skin condition is not good, there seems to be a tendency for it to be a bit puffy. I recommend thoroughly exfoliating and applying products. - ft********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 11, 2025
I've been using this product since I first tried it, and I've gone through a total of 7 bottles. I have super sensitive skin that's also oily, so even the slightest mismatch can cause blemishes. However, this primer doesn't cause any issues at all. Instead, it effectively fills in pores, creating a smooth canvas for makeup application. Even when I'm just applying sunscreen without makeup, I use this primer first, and the sunscreen goes on beautifully with a matte finish. I can be out for 12 hours, and there's hardly any oil breakthrough. Even if my makeup does start to fade, it does so gracefully. If there's one drawback, it's that you'll fall so in love with this primer's magic that you'll go through a bottle quickly with daily use. After toner, pat in the primer well, then apply your cushion foundation. Your makeup won't budge even after 12 hours. - 20************May 9, 2025
Hmm... I bought this product because it was famous, but I'm not really sure about its effectiveness. Rather than concealing pores, it just feels like I've applied a regular primer. On the bright side, there's so much product that it'll probably last me a lifetime. It doesn't seem to do a great job at covering pores or anything like that. I had high expectations, so this product turned out to be quite underwhelming. - mi******Dry SkinMay 4, 2025
I've been using this product consistently since before the packaging change. It's become such an essential item that I don't even want to apply makeup without it. Especially around my nose area, I always made sure to apply this before my foundation. Since the packaging changed: 1. Sometimes it pills like dead skin cells when used with certain skincare products. (This never happened before the reformulation) 2. Even after applying this and doing my makeup, the area around my nose still gets oily. There's no reason for me to use this anymore. (Before the reformulation, it kept my nose area matte) 3. I'm looking to switch to a different primer. Any recommendations from fellow Hwahae Testers? - 6r********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 2, 2025
Is this for real?? It instantly minimizes pores and gives you that baby-soft skin look, like you're using a filter. Why would you buy anything else? If you have dry skin, you might feel some dryness, and if you apply too much, it can create a cakey appearance.
