Perfect for those with a light undertone! The more you apply, the deeper and more beautiful the color becomes as it builds up. There's not really anything to complain about. The scent is pleasant and just right. - g5********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 3, 2025
If you're looking for a deep tint for cool-toned winter skin, this isn't a bad choice. The color payoff is no joke - a tiny amount is enough to spread evenly. While the shade is quite intense, using just a small amount can give you a subtly deep look. The typical accentuation of dead skin cells with velvet tints is unavoidable, but it's less noticeable with this one compared to others. The color is on the dark and intense side, so you might not use it often. However, it could be perfect for your ex's wedding if you want to make a statement. Not exactly a pro tip, but applying a very small amount for a gradient effect and then lightly coating with Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm works well. - es****Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedApr 15, 2025
Despite its 'Blueberry' name, it's not a pure purple plum lip color. When you open it, you'll find it's a burgundy with a subtle plum tint and a slightly warm undertone. The application and staying power are quite good. It's perfect for those times when you want to switch from your usual light undertone plum lip to something more red-toned. For me, it's just a tad too warm. It's definitely not an extremely cool-toned shade. - jy*****Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 5, 2024
This is the holy grail color for winter cool deep tones. I feel like I've been buying and applying only this. The color payoff is intense and absolutely amazing. It transfers quite a bit. The staying power is so-so. Being a velvet type, I guess it's unavoidable. - ch*********Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRednessRecommendedJun 25, 2024
I think it's a truly beautiful and deep burgundy shade. I love how it feels velvety smooth when applied. While I liked everything else about it, there was one slight disappointment - the pink undertone in the stain was stronger than I expected. - su*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 21, 2024
As someone with a light undertone, this shade really makes me look healthy and vibrant. The color is absolutely gorgeous! The staying power is decent, and the ingredients are better compared to other lip products. As expected with matte types, it doesn't glide on as smoothly as I'd like. For a great everyday look, try using 'Merciless Grape Pretender' from the same line as a base, and then apply this as an accent! - ki************Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedJun 4, 2024
Review: Lilybyred Mood Liar Velvet Tint AD • Applies smoothly like a rich, velvety mousse • Effectively fills in fine lines • Great color adherence • Blends well for a natural gradient effect • Not too matte, with a hint of moisture • Highly pigmented, so a little goes a long way (careful application is key!) Deep red blueberry shade: 10 # Cynical Blueberry Pretense is a gochujang-like blueberry shade that's perfect for Winter Cool Deep tones. It has a slight blue tinge but with enough brown to work as an accent lip for Autumn Warm tones bordering on Winter. Compared to rom&nd's Juicy Lasting Tint (Sparkling Juicy series) 17 Plum Coke, Lilybyred definitely has a warmer brick undertone. I fell in love with this unique deep burgundy shade after swatching it in-store. While it might seem intimidating, Winter Cool Deep tones can pull it off naturally. It's also suitable for Autumn Warm Deep tones who can handle winter colors and want a cool vibe. Personally, I think it's perfect for fall and winter. It's a seductive, alluring color that I use when I want to create a mood. I've received many compliments on how well it suits me. I gently recommend this to Winter Cool tones who can rock this vibe! The downside is the strong scent, which might be overwhelming for those sensitive to fragrances. Also, the actual color is much deeper than the packaging suggests, so don't buy based on the outer appearance alone. (Especially for this shade, as the color on the official website differs slightly from the actual color. I recommend testing it in-store before purchasing!) The transfer... seems unavoidable due to the formula. When applied as a full lip, it appears a bit warm on me, so I use it for gradients or as an accent! For a cool winter lip, apply 03 # Merciless Grape Pretense as a light base, then add this color to the inner part of your lips. - he******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 27, 2024
I rarely repurchase lip tints, but the color was so beautiful I bought it again If you don't take good care of your lips, it can sometimes create a 'yogurt effect', so you need to apply it carefully - mi****Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 11, 2024
• Perfect color for winter skin tones • Can be applied naturally over lip balm or a moisturizing base lip color • Great staying power, quite pigmented. Doesn't come off even after eating • When applied directly to bare lips, the color may not distribute evenly I use this to deepen my lip tone after applying lip balm and a creamy tint as a base. The color is definitely beautiful. It stains well, making it great for dates that involve eating. - ro****Oily SkinRecommendedJan 8, 2024
I was skeptical about wearing such a dark shade in winter, but it's surprisingly beautiful when applied. It's like Dracula after a fresh feed - mysterious and alluring. The color is simply stunning. There's nothing particularly bad, but the staying power could be a bit better. It's a shame it doesn't last longer.
