However, I have oily skin, so it made me quite shiny. Recently, I've been taking pantothenic acid, and whether that's made my skin drier or not, the shininess is almost gone. I bought it because it was affordable, and it's turning out to be pretty decent.
ConsToo greasy for oily skin! It seems better suited for at least combination skin types.

I found it convenient as it doesn't run when applied to the face, so you don't need to rush to spread it quickly. Scent: It's nearly fragrance-free and doesn't have any off-putting or strong odors. Experience: As a retinol beginner, I applied it every other day and always used sunscreen when applying in the morning. It doesn't seem to contain a high concentration of retinol, as I didn't experience any blemishes, making it great for beginners. The day after application, my skin felt plump and firm. However, I've only used it for a week, so I haven't seen significant effects on pore reduction yet - I'll need to use it longer to evaluate that. As a highly concentrated ampoule, I found it very hydrating. It seems more suitable for winter use than summer.
ConsThe amount in one dropper is small, so it's a bit inconvenient to have to dip it into the bottle multiple times. It's thicker than the ampoules I usually use, and after application, there's a slight stickiness - if you touch your cheek, your hand slightly sticks to it. As it's a highly concentrated ampoule, it felt a bit rich on my skin. (Other reviews mentioned it absorbs well and feels light, but I had the opposite experience.) Personally, I don't like products that feel heavy on my skin, so I probably won't reach for this often. Update: When I applied half a dropper each to my forehead and cheeks (1.5 droppers total), it felt rich. However, when I used just 1/3 dropper on each area (1 dropper total), it felt less rich and sticky. I'll probably use it this way from now on. I think I understand why the dropper amount is small... However, using it this way might reduce its hydrating effect, so I'll likely layer it with other ampoules.

Scent: A slight hint of mint, but barely noticeable Feel: It's elastic and leaves a slightly rich feeling after application (As someone with combination dehydrated skin prone to deep dryness in winter, it feels great for winter use, but might be tricky for those with dry skin to use alone) After using it consistently for a week, I found it works best when layered after applying a hydrating serum rather than using it alone after toner. This approach helps maintain hydration and makes the skin feel more elastic! I mentioned it leaves a slightly rich feeling, but rather than becoming greasy, it gives a clear glow when you wake up in the morning. Because of this, applying it generously before bed seemed to clarify my face, strengthen my skin barrier, and make my skin texture smoother. +) I've also tried the Numbers'in No.3 Serum, which has similar benefits for texture care. While the Numbers'in product is also effective, it feels richer and has a warming sensation when applied. If you find the warming feeling of Numbers'in uncomfortable, you might prefer this product as it improves elasticity and texture without that sensation.
ConsThose with dry skin might need to layer this with other hydrating products. If you have very oily skin, you might find the rich feeling a bit uncomfortable.
TipRather than using it alone after toner, try layering it after applying a hydrating serum to boost moisture and improve skin elasticity. Also, I recommend using it at night before bed rather than in the morning.

I used it right after cleansing without toner, and I loved how fast it absorbed and how it left my skin feeling firm. The texture feels like a mix between an emulsion and an ampoule, spreading smoothly without being sticky. The scent is nearly fragrance-free, with no noticeable smell that bothered me. It was great for hydration and elasticity. Among the retinol products I've tried, this felt the gentlest. I was most satisfied with the fact that I could trust it due to its excellent ingredients. Unlike other retinol products that require careful application, this one was comfortable to use without worry. It's a functional product that isn't heavy, making me want to recommend it to my mom too.
ConsYou need to pump it several times to get enough product. It's a bit frustrating as only a small amount comes out with each squeeze of the dropper. Also, it leaves a slight oily film on the skin, which might feel a bit heavy for those with oily skin. When I first used it during my menstrual cycle with lots of small blemishes on my chin, it didn't dramatically calm my troubled skin.
TipI prefer applying the ampoule directly from the dropper to my face! This way, I can apply it without the heat from my hands. Just make sure the dropper doesn't touch your skin - let it drip onto your face instead. (This prevents bacteria from your skin getting into the dropper!)

The texture is a rich, bouncy ampoule, and I was worried about the black carrot scent, but it's actually quite pleasant and mild! As I've entered my 30s, I've become more concerned about anti-aging skincare. I started getting interested in retinol as an ingredient and began researching various retinol products. That's when I had the chance to try this Black Carrot Vita A Retinol Firming Ampoule. It's only been a week, so I can't say I've noticed any significant effects on my pores yet. However, I can definitely feel my skin becoming more elastic and firm! I have combination dehydrated skin, so I'm particularly sensitive to skincare products (I tend to break out easily if a product is too oily). This ampoule has just the right balance of richness and hydration for daily use in fall and winter! For those with oily skin, I'd recommend trying this during the dry transitional seasons or winter.
ConsSo far, I haven't found any downsides! The only thing I've considered is that since I have combination dehydrated skin, it might feel a bit rich during the summer months. I plan to try it in summer anyway, and if it feels too heavy, I'll save it for fall and winter use!
