It's wonderfully hydrating with a unique texture that's not watery, which I really like! The lid is a bit flimsy. If you layer it too much, it can pill and leave white residue. The product has a fascinating formula that provides excellent hydration without feeling like water on the skin. However, be cautious when applying multiple layers, as it may lead to pilling. Also, the packaging could be improved, particularly the lid which feels somewhat fragile. - s2********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 12, 2025
This toner banishes deep dryness and delivers both hydration and firmness in one go. As someone who dislikes sticky skincare, I'm pleased to say this isn't sticky at all. The absorption is incredible. It's my holy grail toner - I've repurchased it countless times! I'm struggling to find any downsides because there genuinely aren't any. If I really had to nitpick, the only thing I could say is that the lid feels a bit flimsy. But that's truly reaching for something to critique. This review highlights the toner's effectiveness in addressing combination dehydrated skin concerns. It absorbs well, doesn't leave a sticky residue, and provides excellent hydration. The reviewer's enthusiasm and repeated purchases underscore the product's quality and performance. - wi*******Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsMay 8, 2025
Hmm, I'm not really impressed. It's hard to tell if it's just the nature of cica products, but when I apply it, it feels like there's a film on my face. It's supposed to absorb, but it doesn't seem to do that effectively. Despite being a cica product, it didn't have any soothing effect on me. Instead, I got small bumps like millet seeds and my skin felt greasy. Such a disappointment! - ga*************Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 30, 2025
Provides great hydration. Good value for money. Just slap it on any which way, it's all good! The finish is too sticky. Not recommended for oily skin. If you apply enough, it gets way too tacky. Works great as a mask too! - gg********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedApr 25, 2025
✨Recommended toner for oily, blemish-prone skin✨ I stumbled upon this product when an Olive Young store associate recommended it after seeing my oily, sensitive skin. I'm almost hesitant to share how effective it is for blemishes and acne, as it might sound too good to be true. I used to rely heavily on acne ointments and patches. After using a product that claimed to boost skin regeneration, my skin actually worsened significantly. However, heeding advice that over-application can be harmful, I scaled back to just this toner and emulsion as my basic routine. Surprisingly, my skin calmed down within a week. • For oily skin: As typical with toners, it can feel a bit drying after application. This seems unique to this product, and as someone who dislikes stickiness, I'm extremely satisfied. • Application: It has a concentrated, flowing texture. Despite drying quickly, it feels moisturizing upon initial application. • For sensitive, blemish-prone skin: When my skin severely reacted to incompatible cosmetics, using this product for about a week noticeably calmed it down and prevented further acne or blemishes from appearing. It quickly makes the skin feel tight after application. (I've heard others say it feels like the skin is being pulled.) It's hard to recommend for those with dry skin. Even with my combination dehydrated skin, using this product alone was too drying, so I had to layer on emulsion or other hydrating products twice. It contains powder, so you need to shake it before use. If it spills, it dries white, requiring frequent cleaning. Please, please trust me and try this routine! You can truly revive your troubled skin in just a week. - Suitable for combination dehydrated, sensitive, blemish-prone, and oily skin 1. After cleansing, first apply a very light, water-like toner. (I used Angel Aqua Toner, which is the most refreshing and gentle for me.) 2. When the first layer of toner is slightly dry, immediately apply a spot serum containing tea tree. (I used Daiso Tea Tree Spot Serum.) Apply any other acne treatments at this time as well. 3. Then, use the Barrier Derm Cica Toner. (Apply generously to troubled areas) 4. Once the second layer of toner has dried, apply at least two layers of emulsion! (If using a highly moisturizing product, one layer may suffice. Ensure your face doesn't feel dry.) Just doing this can restore your skin within a week. Please give it a try! - ju************Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 15, 2025
I've been using this for about 5 months now. When my skin was acting up, I used this as a toner pad, and by the next day, my skin had calmed down completely. Maybe it's because my skin isn't in great condition, but occasionally it would pill around my eyebrows like dead skin cells. - js*********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedFeb 14, 2025
This toner is so easy to use. I'm prone to blemishes, but this seems to have really calmed my skin down. Apart from soothing my skin, I didn't notice any other outstanding effects. - jo*****Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 7, 2025
I'm on my third bottle of this product. When first applied, it feels moisturizing, and as it absorbs, it maintains that hydration. I apply it generously on my oily T-zone. I initially bought this based on an employee's recommendation, saying it would help calm my small blemishes. While I didn't see dramatic results, there was a slight improvement. I'd recommend this to those with oily skin! The employee who recommended this product said it would help with oiliness and small blemishes, but I didn't notice much effect on oil control. It does provide some temporary mattifying right after application though. The amount is perfect for spraying directly on the face, but I've also transferred some into a mist bottle for easier application! - ki**********Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 27, 2024
It makes my skin feel soft and velvety, and it absorbs really well! At first it seems fine, but after applying, my skin feels a bit dry. - ye********Dry SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 19, 2024
Contains cica ingredients, so it's safe to use even on blemish-prone skin. Sometimes it can feel a bit drying, but that's easily remedied by following up with the right products in your routine. The packaging and toner formula aren't a perfect match, which can be slightly inconvenient at first. However, you get used to it with continued use.
