Quick review: If you're in your 20s or 30s and want to tackle pores, sebum, and firmness all at once, give Mamonde Pore Shrinker Bakuchiol Cream a try! Its rich texture, gentle ingredients, and quick skin texture improvement make it an excellent daily pore cream! What I loved: Formulated with 30 times more potent Bakuchiol (3,000ppm), 95% pure retinol, and peptides compared to the previous version, this cream is specially designed to care for pores from early to advanced stages. Its effectiveness is proven by clinical trials, where 96.6% of participants experienced improved pore elasticity. Despite its rich and creamy texture, it's not oily and spreads smoothly with a hydrating feel. After absorption, it leaves your skin feeling protected, smooth, and soft, making it suitable for both morning and evening use. With its nearly fragrance-free beige color, it's safe for sensitive skin! Many reviews say even retinol beginners can use it daily without irritation. Users report quick improvements in skin texture and a feeling of tightened pores the next morning! It simultaneously controls sebum and improves elasticity, making it especially recommended for those in their 20s and 30s with oily skin and pore concerns. It also works great under makeup without any pilling. The finish is more rich and matte than watery, so extremely dry or mature skin might find it drying when used alone. If you have dry skin, be sure to layer it with a moisturizing cream. Those with very large or deep pores might not see dramatic shrinking effects, and some reviews mention that consistent use is needed for gradual changes. Since it contains retinol, you might experience temporary flaking or tingling if your skin is sensitive. It's best to start with a small amount and gradually increase usage as your skin adapts. For best results, apply a thin layer to areas with larger pores after your toner and serum in your evening routine, then layer it once more over your entire face. If you have dry skin, follow up with a hydrating cream or facial oil to balance moisture and firmness care. In the morning, applying a small amount can create a smooth skin texture like a pore primer, without causing makeup to pill! If you're sensitive or new to retinol, try using it every other day at first, then increase to daily use as your skin adjusts. - lk*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRecommendedJun 16, 2025
The texture is slightly thick, but it absorbs well into the skin. It would be great to use as a finishing step in your skincare routine. It's just... average. I have acne-prone skin, so I used it mainly because it contains bakuchiol, which seemed to cause fewer breakouts for me. When applying this product, you might notice its rich consistency. However, don't let that deter you - it actually absorbs quite nicely, making it an excellent choice for the final step in your skincare regimen. For those with blemish-prone complexions, the inclusion of bakuchiol could be a game-changer, as it's known to be gentler on sensitive skin while still offering similar benefits to retinol. - cj*******Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 6, 2025
A dream cream for retinol lovers! I was impressed by how well it absorbs into the skin. The scent might be a bit divisive... It has a somewhat herbal aroma that some may find off-putting. - da******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 5, 2025
When I apply this before bed and wake up in the morning, I can definitely feel my skin becoming softer. It doesn't cause any blemishes, absorbs well, and it's a product I reach for every day! There's not really anything disappointing about it, except maybe that it's a bit pricey...? But I personally like it. - gu*********Oily SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 3, 2025
This product works even better when used together with the pads from the same line. It has a pleasantly light and hydrating texture that absorbs well, giving an overall satisfactory feel. There's a slight richness to it, but it seems to help balance the oil and moisture levels in the skin, which isn't a bad thing. For those with oily skin, I recommend using it while monitoring your skin's condition. Nothing particularly negative to mention. A notable characteristic is that it seems to perform better when used with the pads from the same brand's line, rather than with products from other companies. - 55*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 2, 2025
I'm really satisfied with how gentle it is and how it refines my skin texture! It feels like it's clearing away dead skin cells. I think it might even be helping with fine lines a bit. The price is such a letdown. The volume isn't that big, and I wish it were more affordable. - ti************Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 30, 2025
I usually get a reaction when using retinol products, but since this one contains bakuchiol, I can use it daily without any irritation. What's great is that I can see the results quickly - my pores look smaller and my complexion appears more beautiful the very next morning. The absorbs well too. I think the hydration level is perfect for spring and summer, so I'll be using it frequently during those seasons. If I had to nitpick, it might feel a bit dry during the depths of winter. But overall, it's such an excellent product that I can't really find any significant drawbacks. - tn*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 27, 2025
Highly recommended for retinol beginners! Recently, I've been concerned about the pores on my nose and was looking for a retinol product. As someone who's very interested in skincare ingredients, I was naturally intrigued by the gentle bakuchiol. After getting a recommendation from YouTuber Director Pi, I carefully checked the full ingredient list on Hwahae and immediately purchased it there! A combination of low-strength retinol and bakuchiol? Perfect! It's great for treating pores and blemishes on oily skin. After trying the "Mamonde Pore Shrinker Bakuchiol Cream": 1. It has a smooth texture that's easy to apply as the last step of your skincare routine. 2. The retinol speeds up skin cell turnover, and I noticed my skin texture became smoother first. 3. When applied at night, I definitely noticed tighter pores in the morning. 4. Since it contains gentle bakuchiol, I had no photosensitivity (sun sensitivity) when applying it in the morning and going outside. 5. It has sebum-controlling effects, so my skin feels less oily. 6. I noticed a slight improvement in dark spots around my eyes and freckles. If you want to see more definitive results from retinol, you should use a high-strength product with 0.1% to 0.3%. However, you'll have to deal with more side effects and irritation. While it's good to apply it all over your face, those with oily skin might benefit from spot-treating areas where they want to address pores and blemishes. - sy*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 27, 2025
I used to feel a real burning sensation after washing my face, but with this alone, I can fall asleep with my skin feeling hydrated! The texture and formula are a bit disappointing. It feels somewhat watery, and the ampoule was also a letdown due to the crushed particles. It gives a feeling of filling in the pores after using a pore pad! - do*****Oily SkinRecommendedMay 23, 2025
I'm currently using this as part of my nighttime skincare routine, and I love it! It has a nice, substantial feel and provides just the right amount of hydration, making it perfect for applying all over my face. To be honest, I haven't noticed any drawbacks yet. However, I'm not entirely sure if it's actually effective for my pores. I guess I'll need to keep using it consistently to see results. The product absorbs well into the skin, leaving it feeling moisturized without being sticky. It seems to work hard as a nighttime treatment, but it might take some time to see significant improvements in pore appearance. For those with combination dehydrated skin, this could be a good option to layer in your evening skincare routine.
