The initial color payoff is great. It stains the lips naturally, which isn't bad at all. The color looks really off, and it fades too quickly. I find myself not reaching for it much. - es****Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedApr 15, 2025
I absolutely recommend the Gye-Cool Dark shade. It's likely to suit almost all deep winter skin tones. It's exactly the wine-like color I've been looking for. The product seems to run out faster than other tints, as if there's less in the tube. Unfortunately, it also develops the 'yogurt effect' (separation). While the color is truly beautiful, it's disappointing. Still, because it looks so pretty on my lips, I'd probably buy it again despite these issues. - mi********Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 22, 2025
Perfect for those with darker complexions when applied with a gradient effect. It's a bit intense when used alone, but pairs beautifully with a base lip color. If you haven't exfoliated, it can pill and flake off like dead skin. Lip exfoliation is absolutely essential before application. - nf********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 17, 2025
This tint is all about mastering the amount you apply! Even a small dab gives you great color payoff! While a little goes a long way with color, be careful not to overdo it or you might end up looking like a vampire! Try applying a tiny amount on a silicone brush and blend it out. The color is seriously intense! - mf**Dry SkinRecommendedDec 19, 2024
This is truly a holy grail for those with light undertones! It has a matte finish but doesn't leave your lips feeling parched. The color is a really deep, rich burgundy. If your lips are in poor condition, it might only stain the inner part of your lips. I recommend applying a lip balm for hydration before using this product. - dh******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedDec 7, 2024
If you have a light undertone, you absolutely must get this! It's great because it stains well too. It dries quickly and flakes if your lips are dry. Recommended to apply after moisturizing your lips. - 21***Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedNov 27, 2024
It's truly cool... Really cool, like a cool red grape with a drop of black added! The pigmentation is great, and although it's a fixing tint, it applies smoothly and adheres well to the lips. The staying power isn't bad either. The amount that comes out of the applicator tip is too much, and somehow the durability of the product seems a bit lacking. - ch*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 13, 2024
As someone with a cool winter complexion, this looks great on my bare face. It's become my absolute favorite lately! The color is incredibly intense, so you need to apply it in a gradient. It shows up immediately, so you have to blend quickly. On the plus side, it comes off easily. - ps*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedOct 19, 2024
- Excellent staying power - Not drying - The color is spot-on - Beautiful design (doesn't break or crumble easily, sturdy) - Great staining power (removes easily when you want it to) - Universally appealing scent Honestly, I can't find any faults. Even if I had to nitpick, I've got nothing. This tint has become my go-to! - th*******Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedSep 10, 2024
True to its 'butter' name, it applies moisturizing and smooth while finishing with a soft, velvety feel! The shade is perfect for those with deep, dark skin tones in winter. It doesn't go on too intensely, so one layer as shown in the photo is enough for daily wear, while you can build it up for a more dramatic look! I also like that it has some staining power. Additional note: When paired with B*ty's Vanilla Lip Oil in Plum Mauve, it helps prevent uneven staining and reduces dryness. I highly recommend this combination for winter! It's a go-to pairing I use frequently, except during summer. While it feels fine right after application, it becomes dry over time, requiring a lip balm. It's also a bit disappointing that it tends to settle into lip lines. Update: Why does it seem to darken over time after application? Also, while it applies moisturizing and finishes soft, which is a plus, as time passes, my lips become extremely dry and start to crack. A lip balm is absolutely necessary. For reapplication, wipe off the existing layer and reapply for a clean look. Since the stain doesn't come off easily with just a tissue, I carry a small container with cleansing water on a cotton pad. Make sure to exfoliate your lips well before applying!
