(I've used Atopalm products several times before.) Regarding the ingredients, I had no worries at all since I'm familiar with Atopalm products. It has EWG green-grade safe ingredients and incorporates MLE technology. (MLE technology is said to mimic the actual skin structure for faster absorption.) I've checked this so many times that I could recite it in my sleep! The texture is an opaque stick type with a subtle herbal scent, similar to the Atopalm MLE cream. It feels slightly thick when applying, and there's a bit of stickiness initially. However, once it's absorbed, the stickiness reduces, and it feels quite moisturizing. The packaging is incredibly travel-friendly with its stick format. The signature red cap is cute too! I also appreciate Atopalm's 'I Love Green' campaign, which allows for easy recycling of the container. This product seems perfect for parents or anyone dealing with dry skin. It's so convenient - when you're busy with kids and can't manage to apply lotion, you can quickly swipe this on. Very practical!
ConsDue to high demand, shipping was delayed, which was disappointing. The application can feel a bit thick and sticky at first, though the stickiness improves as it absorbs. Also, the scent might not be to everyone's liking.
TipA great tip is to keep it in your bag for quick touch-ups throughout the day. I even use it on my lips!

The small size and stick format make it easy to carry around. Provides excellent hydration. I thought it might be sticky since it's a balm, but it moisturizes well without any stickiness. It's perfect for applying to the face or areas that need extra hydration. I love that the ingredients are gentle and it's fragrance-free.
ConsThe application could be a bit better. It feels slightly stiff when applied to bare skin. However, it glides on smoothly when applied after an emulsion.

The moisturizing barrier lasts for quite a long time, effectively protecting the skin. Using beeswax instead of synthetic wax makes it gentle on the skin and easy to cleanse. With no bothersome fragrance, I find myself reaching for it often. If not using natural scents, unscented is the way to go. It doesn't wear down or smudge easily, maintaining its firmness.
ConsDue to its firm texture, it's not smooth and feels a bit stiff when applying.
TipIt might apply more smoothly and easily in warmer weather rather than during winter.

It was my first time experiencing atopic dermatitis in my life, so I felt lost about what to do. But I found out that intense hydration was the answer. My doctor recommended applying thick moisturizers generously, so I tried various products. Then the Atopalm stick balm arrived. First off, it's really great for applying to specific areas. I used it on my mouth area, stretch marks, atopic patches, and areas with severe dead skin cells. Recently, I've been having serious blemishes on my chin, but this product doesn't seem to irritate or cause more breakouts. The absorption is average. It has a solid texture, so it doesn't melt easily. It doesn't apply too oily either. I don't think it leaves a super shiny finish (compared to the Gahee stick balm). The size is neither too small nor too big, similar to Gahee's. It would be great for those with dry skin to quickly swipe it on their mouth area after brushing teeth. For me, since my face tends to be oily, it feels a bit heavy to apply all over my face.
ConsIf you're applying it to a baby, it might be less irritating to warm it slightly with body heat before application. It might be a bit too stiff to apply around the eyes.
TipIt's great to swipe on around the mouth after brushing teeth. I have particularly dry hands, so I also apply it around my nails.

I was selected as a Hwahae Tester and received this product for free to write a review. My children were atopic dermatitis patients who underwent steroid treatment at a university hospital for over a year due to eczema. Though it's not severe now, they used to have localized outbreaks depending on the season or weather. My older child even developed thick, scaly patches typical of eczema. Basically, during seasonal changes, harsh winters, and on areas prone to eczema flare-ups, we've been using the same company's Panthenol Emulsion. For regular use, we use the MLE Emulsion. We also use Atopalm products for body wash and shampoo. (I'm sharing this in case it helps someone with similar skin type/preferences/routines as my children) The main advantage of the stick balm is that you can apply it without getting your hands messy! Especially when out with kids, you need to apply emulsion frequently. It's a hassle to wash hands every time, so I often forgot to reapply later. Nowadays, I keep the stick balm in my jacket pocket and apply it whenever the skin feels dry. It's especially great in the morning rush - sometimes I'd only manage to wash my younger child's face before heading out. Now I can quickly apply the balm in the elevator or while waiting for the school bus! I highly recommend this for people with very dry skin or those with children. While it's slightly stiffer than V* multi-balm, it has better ingredients and price. I plan to switch to Atopalm stick balm for both myself and my kids once I finish my current V* product. If I hadn't tried it as a Hwahae Tester, I might have kept using V* without knowing better! Skin type - Extremely dry Usage period - One week Appearance and packaging - Similar to trendy stick balms Scent - Unscented Texture - Firm like a glue stick (but melts well with body heat) Application and absorption - Naturally less spreadable and absorbent than emulsions or creams, but great for layering over moisturized skin Effectiveness and longevity - Lasts very long, leaves skin glossy
ConsI've been using Atopalm products for over 8 years, starting with my older child, and have grown to trust the brand immensely. I've tried their stick balm before, but due to its nature, it wasn't easy to apply. It was too stiff, making it uncomfortable for the children when I tried to apply it to their faces. It also left a slightly sticky finish. However, whether it's just my impression or due to seasonal temperature changes, this version seems to have improved spreadability. The new design also makes it easier to apply. The finish feels a bit more powdery too. I definitely find myself reaching for it more often than before.
TipIf you apply it over a base emulsion on dry or needy areas, it doesn't feel too stiff. (Relatively less so compared to applying on dry skin) Since it's likely affected by season and temperature, especially when applying to children's faces, I recommend rolling a bit of the balm on the back of your hand to warm it up, or slightly warming the entire balm before application. Rounding off the edges a bit improves the application! For best results, apply it over emulsion or cream - other moms in the neighborhood often ask what emulsion I use on my kids as we pass by! To enhance its effectiveness, try layering it over emulsion or cream - you'll have other moms asking about your skincare secrets as you pass by!

I usually get itchy and break out when I use oily balms or creams, as I have blemish-prone skin. However, with Atopalm, I didn't experience any of these issues. That's why I wanted to try this balm too. I always get dry, cracked skin around my mouth and eyebrows, and fine lines are quite noticeable. But when I apply a bit of this before my cushion foundation, it doesn't cake or settle into wrinkles, which is great. The size is also perfect for carrying around. It's wonderful for applying to the back of hands or elbows when you're on the go. I'm often worried about strong fragrances causing skin reactions, so I'm pleased this is unscented.
ConsThe application feels a bit stiff rather than gliding on smoothly (which is probably expected for a balm type product). It might just be my imagination though, as once it's applied, it doesn't feel sticky or heavy at all!
TipI like to apply Atopalm on my wrists like Vaseline, and then spritz some perfume over it. I carry it with me and apply it to my mouth area and lips throughout the day.

I've used the entire Atopalm line, but a balm? This is a game-changer. I used to struggle with carrying around creams in small containers, but this balm solves all those problems. It has the same moisturizing power and hydration as a cream, but it's so easy to carry and lasts for ages. I've happily made room for it in my bag! It's gentle enough for infants, children, and pregnant women, with ingredients that won't irritate. The scent is so subtle it's practically fragrance-free. My child loves applying it too. It's a must-have item for this dry, windy season - I highly recommend it! I'll definitely repurchase and want to keep one in every bag I own!
ConsBeing a balm, it feels a bit stiff when you first apply it, and there's some powder-like residue (crumbs?) that comes off. This goes away as you use it more, though. I think it's because the top layer dries out slightly.
TipIt's great to keep in the kids' school bags (you know, along with wet wipes, water bottles, Pororo vitamins, and all that stuff we carry around!). It's so convenient to apply to their cheeks whenever we're at the playground or park. So far, while my face might get irritated, the kids' faces have been fine. (Maybe I should steal some for myself too!)

It's said to absorb quickly due to the patented MLE technology that mimics the skin's natural structure. With the addition of patented ingredients like Omega Ceramide 16 and Lipimoide, it claims to strengthen the skin barrier, moisturize, and protect dry and sensitive skin, promoting healthier skin overall. The hydration is said to last for 48 hours. As someone who washes their hands frequently and tends to get chapped skin in winter, I find it convenient to carry around and apply to the back of my hands. Despite its balm-like texture, it absorbs well without leaving any sticky residue or lingering feeling. It's great for applying to areas like the eyes, nasolabial folds, and lips without causing any tightness. On the lips, it feels just like a lip balm. When applied to the face, it doesn't feel greasy or oily. It can be used on any dry or itchy areas as needed. Suitable for sensitive skin, infants, and the whole family from children to adults. It can be used on all dry, itchy areas. Provides immediate skin hydration improvement and temporary relief from itching caused by dryness. Dermatologically tested and free from 10 harmful skin ingredients.
ConsDue to stock depletion, delivery was delayed until 10/28. The application isn't as smooth or soft as expected. It applies somewhat stiffly. The surface area is too wide for easy application on the face, making it difficult to apply evenly. It requires patting after application.
TipDespite the somewhat stiff application, you can pat it in after applying. It can be reapplied as needed. As it's not as moisturizing as a soothing gel or emulsion, it's good for applying to areas that feel dry after using those products.
