This lip pencil is a pale purple with a lovely white undertone. I adore purple lip colors, but many deep shades don't suit me well. I prefer lighter hues, which are surprisingly hard to find. While there are some brighter options in mauve, most purple lipsticks are intensely deep. The so-called 'lilac' or 'lavender' shades often lack pigmentation, which was disappointing. That's why I was thrilled to discover this lip pencil. I'm completely satisfied with it - it's the epitome of a light purple with a white base. I bought it primarily for the color, and I love applying it all over my lips. When I layer a purple-tinted matte lipstick on top, it creates a much brighter, cooler look than my usual style. The staying power is impressive too! Since I bought this for the color and want to use it as a full-lip product, I find the amount of product a bit lacking. Considering that, the price seems a bit steep. Additionally, the pencil is too thick and clumsy for precise overlining or creating a delicate lip line. - mi*****Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedNov 4, 2023
This is my current favorite lip pencil. First off, it's not designed for precise lip lining, but rather for effortless application. It has a soft, diffused effect that blends seamlessly with your lip and face skin, so you don't have to worry about harsh lines even if you go slightly outside your lip contour. Unless you apply a lot, it's more about softening the lip edges than providing intense color. The purple tint is subtle. If you have fair skin with cool undertones, it's definitely worth trying. If you apply it over a main lip product that hasn't fully dried, it can smudge and blend together. This results in lips that look messy rather than intentionally blurred. I haven't tried it with gloss formulas, but even with matte lip products, it's best to wait until they're fully set before using this pencil. They marketed it as a way to create a blush effect on the lips, so I tried it as an actual blush too. The staying power on cheeks was decent, but the formula isn't ideal for cheek application. I also experimented with it under my eyes - the color was soft and nice, but the powdery texture felt a bit off for that area. Personally, I'll stick to using it as a lip pencil!
