But when I actually used it, it's even hydrating! When I pat it in until it's fully absorbed, I can instantly feel my skin texture becoming more refined. I didn't want to physically exfoliate, so using this kind of exfoliating toner every other day seems like a great option.
ConsThe product runs out so quickly! You can really feel it diminishing rapidly even after just one use. Compared to that, the overall amount of toner seems quite small.

When first applied, the water-like texture absorbs, and as you pat it in, you can feel a slightly rich film (more oil than hydration). Once fully absorbed, it leaves a matte, velvety finish, like a soft coating. I have combination dehydrated skin and felt it was a bit drying, so I used an additional hydrating serum! My friend with dry skin found it very drying and oily, so I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin types. Probably due to the PHA ingredient, when used with a cotton pad, it seemed to gently exfoliate rough skin and sebum-prone areas, leaving the skin feeling smoother. I think it would be good to keep on hand for occasional skin maintenance!
ConsThe heavy scent was initially off-putting, and on days when my skin was super sensitive, it felt tingling or irritating.
TipI definitely don't recommend using rough cotton pads... + It works well when used with a moisturizer/serum

Its fluid consistency makes it easy to apply after cleansing. I have combination dehydrated skin that tends to get oily on the surface but dry underneath. Thicker toners would often pill or leave my skin feeling greasy, but this one absorbs well and feels so light and hydrating. It's impressive how it manages to provide deep hydration without feeling heavy - there's no tightness or dryness after application, and it even addresses that deep dehydration. - Gentle on skin I have super sensitive skin that tends to react with redness and tingling to certain ingredients. However, I've used this multiple times without any irritation or redness. It didn't cause any blemishes either. My husband has a different skin type, but he also used it without any adverse reactions. It seems to be a mild product suitable for all skin types. - Improves skin texture and manages dead skin cells Instead of applying directly, I like to use it with a cotton pad to gently wipe my face. This helps refine the skin texture, allowing makeup to go on smoothly without pilling. During seasonal changes, my nose and forehead tend to get dry, causing makeup to look patchy and flaky. But when I use this toner with a cotton pad before makeup, it significantly improves the appearance and adherence of my base makeup.
ConsWhile it's great for oily skin, those with drier skin types might find it slightly less hydrating. In that case, it might be best to pair it with a more moisturizing cream.
Tip[Before Makeup] Gently sweep a cotton pad soaked in this toner over your skin before applying makeup. It helps create a smooth canvas for flawless makeup application. [Soothing Skin] For sensitive or dry areas, try using it as a mini mask. Soak a cotton pad generously with the toner and place it on the affected area. It has a calming effect that works wonders.

I appreciated that it's free from allergens and harmful ingredients, has no fragrance, and can be used on sensitive skin without additional testing. (I have acne-prone, sensitive skin, and I could use this as an exfoliating toner without experiencing any redness.) It seems to improve the absorption of subsequent products, perhaps due to its exfoliating properties. There's a noticeable difference in hydration between areas where the toner is applied and where it isn't. While some find the bottle opening inconvenient, I think it dispenses an appropriate amount and allows the user to control the quantity by shaking. (Isn't this typical for most toner bottles anyway?)
ConsThe protective layer it forms to maintain hydration might create a slightly sticky feeling, which could be a turn-off for those who dislike any tackiness. However, this stickiness likely becomes less noticeable once you apply serums, ampoules, or creams. (Personally, I found the stickiness minimal, but my husband, who is more sensitive to texture, said it felt sticky.)
TipAfter trying Biodance products, I've noticed they tend to form a unique protective layer (though less so with the toner). Using products from the same brand might create better synergy. Since it's a PHA exfoliating product, I found that soaking a cotton pad with the toner, placing it on the skin, and then wiping resulted in better skin refinement and a brighter complexion. Following up with another layer of toner, gently pressed into the skin, seemed to make my skin feel even smoother! Softening dead skin cells, wiping them away, and then hydrating with the toner not only improves the absorption of subsequent products but also prolongs the moisturizing effect.

It absorbs quickly into the skin and works well as an exfoliating toner when used with a cotton pad. If your skin is particularly dry, you can simply pat it on with your palms. The scent is slightly reminiscent of SK2 Pitera - a bit lingering - so those sensitive to fragrances might want to skip this one. Personally, I don't mind it and use it regularly. I don't expect miracles from a toner, so I gave it 5 stars for fulfilling its basic purpose well. As someone with oily, acne-prone skin rather than dry, flaky skin, I didn't particularly notice its effectiveness in dissolving or removing dead skin cells.
ConsWhile there wasn't anything particularly disappointing, if I had to mention one thing, it would be the toner's opening. It doesn't need to be large, but this one feels a bit too small. The amount dispensed in one go is quite little, so you need to dispense it several times to get the right amount. It would be nice if the opening was slightly wider, allowing you to get the proper amount in about 3 pumps instead of 10.

My skin is combination dehydrated with oily outbreaks and prone to blemishes. While not super sensitive, my skin often feels hot and sometimes tingles depending on its condition. First off, it has a very refreshing texture as a water-based toner. I didn't find it sticky at all, and it absorbed quickly, almost as if I hadn't applied anything, while slightly improving my skin texture. I felt like it might have helped reduce oil production during the day. So far, I haven't experienced any skin irritation while using it. Considering it's an exfoliating toner, it seems very gentle.
ConsUnlike other reviews, I didn't particularly feel it was effective in reducing skin heat. Also, compared to some first essences that provide dramatic instant texture improvement, this one's effects weren't as noticeable. However, if you're looking for a gentle daily product and considering the price point, it's not a bad choice.
TipSince it's a water-based formula, it can easily get into your eyes. When it does, it really, really stings. It'll make your eyes water. Be very careful not to let it get into your eyes, everyone!

Not only does the packaging look premium, but the quality of the product itself feels luxurious! While it doesn't feel oily when applied, I notice a slight richness during cleansing, which seems to enhance its hydrating properties. As someone with combination dehydrated skin - oily on the surface but prone to deep dryness - I appreciate that it's not overly greasy. I've tried using it both with a cotton pad and with my hands, and it absorbs well into the skin either way.
ConsThe bottle size feels a bit small compared to many toners on the market these days, so you might need to repurchase more frequently.
TipThe opening is quite small, so you need to shake it several times to dispense enough for one application, unlike some other products.

I used it as an exfoliating toner by applying it with a cotton pad, and it absorbed exceptionally well. Recently, due to the changing seasons, I've had some dead skin cells and small blemishes. After using it consistently for a week, I felt my skin calming down without any irritation. I expected some irritation, but it turned out to be an incredibly gentle product. I felt like it effectively smoothed my skin texture and removed dead skin cells. I'm so satisfied that I plan to purchase it again when I run out!
ConsFor a toner, it seems a bit on the pricey side. If you dislike runny textures, you might not enjoy this product.
TipTry applying it to your face with a cotton pad like a sheet mask. You'll notice smoother skin with less dead skin cells and a beautiful glow, all without significant irritation.

There's a sense that the moisturized state is maintained for a long time. After cleansing, I could feel it removing dead skin cells. In the final step, when applying cushion foundation, I noticed that the makeup went on smoothly and radiant without any pilling.
ConsThe scent isn't bad, but I wish it had a more feminine and pleasant fragrance.
TipWith spring here and our skin battling yellow dust, after cleansing, apply the toner generously to a cotton pad and gently wipe your face to soothe the skin. Then, pat on a generous amount of toner. This will help you achieve incredibly hydrated and smooth skin.

Instead, it gradually absorbs, leaving the skin feeling moisturized. • Scent: When you first smell it, it's close to unscented, but the moment you apply it to your face, there's a very slight tingling scent. However, it's not noticeable enough to be bothersome. • Experience: Unlike what some others have reported, I didn't feel any stinging or discomfort when applying it. It was comfortable to use. While some toners absorb instantly and leave your skin feeling dry right away, this one slowly sinks in, maintaining hydration until you apply your serum. It's not too light, making it great for combination dehydrated skin during winter and spring. As someone with acne-prone skin, after using it morning and night for a week, I found it gentle as it didn't cause any blemishes or irritation.
ConsThe product is so gentle that I want to layer it or use it with a cotton pad, but the amount seems a bit small! I feel like I'll use it up quickly.
TipIt seems like you could boost hydration without causing blemishes by using this as part of a layering routine, especially during transitional seasons or winter, rather than in summer!
