The mascara I'm famous for using is really great for curling, but even a little while after applying it, my eyelashes start to droop. I've been using this Hwahae mascara fixer really well since high school. Nowadays, there are mascara fixers from various brands, but back then, the Etude Hwahae fixer was like a miracle. These days, mascaras are so good that I don't necessarily have to use a fixer all the time, but I still use it when I'm going to be out for a long time or swimming. I've been using this for about 5 years now and I always use it before applying mascara!! If I just curl my lashes and then immediately apply mascara, the curl only lasts for about an hour or so ㅠㅠ So I curl my lashes and then use this fixer once, and when I apply mascara after that, my lashes stay curled all day long! Even in the early morning when I do it, and even when I come home late at night, the curl from the morning is still there. Even if I accidentally rub my eyes a bit or wear a sleep mask or bury my face in the pillow, my lashes stay intact... This is truly a life-changing fixer.

Applying this over black mascara will turn any mascara into a powerful waterproof state and maintain the curl well. Since all waterproof mascaras tend to smear on my eyes, this is an essential item for me.
Cons
If you don't control the application well, it can appear semi-transparent and whitish like dried glue. I've even tried the newer black-tinted fixers, but they still ended up smearing on me in the end. So I've ultimately returned to using this fixer.
