Sometimes, overpowering artificial fragrances can make you wrinkle your nose, but this mild scent is a winner for me! Also, it has a vibrant yellow color just like a real mango, but I was relieved to learn it's not from artificial colorants. Instead, it's from beta-carotene extracted from carrots! ✔️Cleansing effectiveness My daily makeup routine usually consists of a brightening moisturizer, eyebrow product, mascara, and lip tint. This cleanser removed everything completely. Even after just the first cleanse, when I wiped with a toner pad, nothing came off! The next day, I tested it on heavier makeup including eyeliner and foundation. Even then, everything came off with just one cleanse in the evening. The cleansing power seems top-notch. ✔️Texture and eye irritation It has a really soft, sherbet-like texture that scoops out smoothly. After melting it slightly in your hands, you can roll it on your face, gradually adding water to emulsify it. Surprisingly, even when removing eye makeup directly, there was no stinging sensation. While I don't have severe blemishes, sometimes if I neglect skincare, I get visible blackheads on my nose. When I take extra time (about 3 minutes) to massage thoroughly and emulsify with water, followed by a second cleanse with a low pH foam cleanser, I can visibly see the blackheads being removed!
ConsSince it's a sherbet-type cleanser that you scoop out with a spatula, it can be tricky to control the amount. It's more of a characteristic of the texture rather than a flaw in the product itself, but it's slightly inconvenient.
TipWhen cleansing, it's great to massage not just your face, but also your décolletage and collarbone area!

As someone new to cleansing balms, using a spatula to scoop and melt the product was a bit unfamiliar, but the cleansing effectiveness was quite good. Overall, I couldn't find any significant flaws with this product. With winter approaching, I'm not sure how it would perform in summer, but I feel like it even helps control excess oil after use.
ConsIf I had to nitpick, I'd say it's slightly inconvenient to use. The spatula has a spoon-like groove which makes scooping the balm easier, but when applying, a small amount of product gets left in the groove. I wondered if a flat surface might be better, but it wasn't terribly inconvenient.
TipWhile not exactly a pro tip, after applying to your face, if you massage it in circular motions, the balm emulsifies, giving you a face massage and cleanse in one go - talk about killing two birds with one stone!

The texture is so soft and smooth that it effortlessly removes makeup without any harsh rubbing. I was pleasantly surprised by how gentle it felt, as I had initially worried about potential roughness. I've always had blackheads around my nose area, but after consistent use, I noticed they've significantly faded. It's a win-win situation as it cleanses while also dissolving sebum. I used to avoid cleansing oils and balms due to concerns about blemishes, which sometimes made it difficult to remove heavy makeup. However, this product not only cleanses effectively but also doesn't cause any blemishes, making it a satisfying experience. Another great aspect is that my skin doesn't feel tight or dry after use. While cleansing oils are known for their strong cleansing power, they often leave the skin feeling tight immediately after use. This product doesn't have that issue at all. In fact, it works so well that you might even wonder if you've rinsed it off completely!
ConsThe artificial fragrance might be polarizing for some users. Additionally, the jar packaging can be a bit inconvenient to open and close.
TipFor those concerned about blackheads in the nose area, try opening up your pores first, then gently massage the balm onto the affected area for best results.

It melts gently on contact with skin, effortlessly removing makeup with just a light rolling motion. It emulsifies well with water, making rinsing a breeze. Unlike some oil cleansers that can leave a slight residue, this product feels clean and fresh after use. Post-cleansing, skin retains a pleasant moisture level, avoiding that tight, dry feeling. Instead, it leaves skin feeling comfortably hydrated. Scent: Despite its intense mango-like color, the delightful, appetizing fragrance makes cleansing a joy rather than a chore!
ConsWhile there weren't any significant drawbacks, for more hygienic use, it might be better if the spatula didn't have a concave part.
TipThe Hwahae Testers found that effective cleansing is possible with less product than expected, so there's no need to scoop out too much.

While I double cleanse with oils, I always felt like they left residue in my pores, absorbed quickly, and potentially caused blemishes. This cleansing balm, however, felt refreshing to use. They claim you don't need to double cleanse, and it truly left my skin feeling clean. The packaging is cute, and the included spatula makes for hygienic and convenient application. While I usually prefer unscented products, this had a delightful fragrance. It cleanses effectively yet keeps skin hydrated, which is a major plus. It seems perfect for use in the early winter weather we're having now!
ConsThe spatula was a bit small and didn't stay in place, which was disappointing. For very long-lasting makeup, you might still need to double cleanse.
TipMake sure to emulsify thoroughly to dissolve sebum and blackheads effectively.

Turns out it's mango! Even those who aren't fans of fragrances might find this subtle scent pleasant. Texture: It spreads easily on the skin. You don't need to rub hard for it to glide on smoothly. User experience: It's convenient to use. The orange-ish color was a bit funny at first, making my face look slightly yellow, but it disappeared as I continued massaging it in. I didn't experience any blemishes while using this product!
ConsCleansing effectiveness: I'm not sure if it removes makeup as well as a cleansing balm should... It doesn't remove mascara at all, so you'll need a separate eye makeup remover. It does remove eyeliner, but for those who tightline, it might not clean the lash line completely. For the most thorough eye makeup removal, you're better off using a dedicated eye makeup remover! The spatula that comes with it is too small, making it difficult to scoop out the balm.
TipIf you find using a separate eye makeup remover bothersome, you can try this: after using the cleansing balm, slightly dampen a cotton pad, add a bit of the balm, and gently wipe your eyes. Follow up with a foaming cleanser for a double cleanse. Make sure to use a generous amount with the spatula for effective cleansing! I noticed it didn't remove makeup well when I used too little.

As someone who uses a mascara fixer before applying mascara, I was impressed that it effectively removed eyeliner, mascara, and even the mascara fixer! I usually massage it for about a minute during the emulsification process, as it's said to help remove sebum and blackheads. I make sure to do this thoroughly. Unlike other products, there's no slippery feeling after cleansing. It really seems like a product that doesn't require double cleansing! Overall, I was quite satisfied with this product! It has a gentle feel to it.
ConsThe spatula was smaller compared to other products, which was a bit inconvenient. Even with thorough emulsification, it didn't seem to remove sebum and blackheads as well as other products. However, it still does remove them to some extent! I felt like I had to use more product than expected to get that satisfying cleansing sensation.
TipWhen using cleansing oils or cleansing balms, it's important to be thorough during the emulsification process for the best results.

First off, it comes in a refreshing and stylish package that fits the mango concept perfectly. When you open it, you'll find a conventional mini spatula and a middle cap. Inside is a yellow cleansing balm that reminds you of a mango. For this review, I applied lipstick, tint, eyeliner, aegyo-sal liner, eye primer, and eyeshadow on my left hand, and foundation on half of my right hand with pot concealer on the other half. I waited for it to set. Then, imagining I was using it on my face, I gently rolled it on until it felt non-irritating. As you can see in the photo, everything except the eye primer was removed completely. Of course, the foundation and concealer on my right hand were also cleansed effortlessly and smoothly. When I actually removed my makeup, the experience was fantastic. Especially when removing heavy point makeup like eyeshadow and glitter, I applied a generous amount and rolled it on, but there was no stinging or product seeping into my eyes. I finally understood why people rave about balm-type cleansers. This is definitely a product I'd repurchase without hesitation.
ConsIf I had to pick one thing, I think it would be more convenient to apply on the face if the included spatula was completely flat instead of having a groove.
TipIt's an excellent product that's easy to use with maximum effectiveness - no special tricks needed.
