It effectively dissolves sebum and makeup, leaving skin smooth after cleansing. The pleasant, subtle mango scent makes for an enjoyable cleansing experience. Even for sensitive skin, it doesn't cause any blemishes. This isn't so much a drawback of the product itself, but rather a limitation of balm-type cleansers in general. If you only wear eyeshadow without eyeliner or mascara, and have dense eyelashes, it can be challenging to remove all the product from between the lashes. This often necessitates double cleansing.

When applied to the face, it melts instantly with body heat, allowing for a gentle cleanse without irritation, even through the emulsification process! Using the spatula to scoop out a bit and gently massaging it onto your face, the gel melts away, effectively removing makeup while seeming to dissolve dead skin cells and excess sebum. Even though it's a balm, I was pleasantly surprised at how easily it rinses off with water, making cleansing a breeze! Some oils/balms become sticky when massaged all over the face, but this one stays smooth until emulsification. As someone with oily skin, I noticed a reduction in blackheads, but what impressed me more was how it effectively dissolved sebum plugs in pores without squeezing. You can see the sebum on your hands, and it refines skin texture without irritation. Blackheads and sebaceous filaments improved so much that I no longer need a separate AHA toner. When emulsified with water, the texture becomes thicker, necessitating double cleansing. Even after rinsing multiple times, there's still a residual feeling. While the mango scent is pleasant during use, the artificial fragrance is a slight drawback. Sometimes, overpowering artificial fragrances can make you wrinkle your nose, but this mild scent is a winner for me! Also, it has a vibrant yellow color just like a real mango, but I was relieved to learn it's not from artificial colorants. Instead, it's from beta-carotene extracted from carrots! ✔️Cleansing effectiveness My daily makeup routine usually consists of a brightening moisturizer, eyebrow product, mascara, and lip tint. This cleanser removed everything completely. Even after just the first cleanse, when I wiped with a toner pad, nothing came off! The next day, I tested it on heavier makeup including eyeliner and foundation. Even then, everything came off with just one cleanse in the evening. The cleansing power seems top-notch. ✔️Texture and eye irritation It has a really soft, sherbet-like texture that scoops out smoothly. After melting it slightly in your hands, you can roll it on your face, gradually adding water to emulsify it. Surprisingly, even when removing eye makeup directly, there was no stinging sensation. While I don't have severe blemishes, sometimes if I neglect skincare, I get visible blackheads on my nose. When I take extra time (about 3 minutes) to massage thoroughly and emulsify with water, followed by a second cleanse with a low pH foam cleanser, I can visibly see the blackheads being removed! Since it's a sherbet-type cleanser that you scoop out with a spatula, it can be tricky to control the amount. It's more of a characteristic of the texture rather than a flaw in the product itself, but it's slightly inconvenient. When cleansing, it's great to massage not just your face, but also your décolletage and collarbone area!
