It's a cult favorite, haha! It's super easy to just swipe on. Among the Too Cool for School shades, Dew Beige is the lightest in the beige range. Shining Linen has a bit of a yogurt tint, so it works well for those with complexions between 13-17 who find the other shades too dark. The staying power is only about 10 minutes. Once you step outside, there's barely a trace left. You'll need to carry it with you for touch-ups. If you apply it alone, the staying power is so weak it might blow away in the wind. To improve longevity, try layering it over an eyeshadow base. Then, lightly press some concealer pencil, compact powder, or loose powder on top before applying. That should help it last a bit longer. - by********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 6, 2025
I've finally found the perfect solution for brightening my aegyo sal (under-eye puffiness)! Those pencil-like concealers meant for this area often look unnatural and settle into fine lines, which I dislike. But this one is different! It has a clean look with subtle champagne-colored shimmer that appears natural. When applied to the under-eye area, it instantly brightens and creates a soft, plump aegyo sal effect. It's exactly what I've been searching for! The pencil-like shape makes application a bit rough and scratchy. It goes on lightly but with a slightly irritating texture. The staying power is short-lived, and the shimmer doesn't adhere well to the skin. It feels delicate, like it might break if dropped. I'm unsure about repurchasing. When choosing an under-eye brightener, look for products that offer a natural-looking glow without emphasizing fine lines. Cream formulas often work better than pencils for this delicate area, providing smoother application and better hydration. Always set with a light powder to improve longevity and prevent creasing. - k7******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 4, 2025
It seems to match my complexion really well. I absolutely loved the shimmering color! At first, I wasn't sure how to apply it properly. I was a bit lost because I didn't know the exact application method. - ha*********Dry SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresJun 1, 2025
The color payoff seems great! Just a few swipes and it brightens up your complexion almost too much! Unfortunately, it comes off easily when you try to blend it. Even the slightest rubbing makes it disappear. I thought it was just me, but when I asked around, everyone said they had the same issue. - na**********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedJun 1, 2025
If you want to brighten those under-eye areas for sure, this is the product for you! It crumbles so easily... and it gets smudged really quickly too. - mm********Dry SkinRecommendedMay 27, 2025
The color is pretty, and it's great for adding volume to aegyo sal (under-eye puffiness). It feels a bit gritty when applying, which was somewhat disappointing. When using this product to enhance the appearance of aegyo sal, the attractive color works well. However, the slightly rough texture during application might be a drawback for some users who prefer a smoother feel. - js*********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 21, 2025
It really looks and feels like a real pencil, with a lovely texture and appearance The formula is completely lacking in moisture, making it prone to breaking. 2025/04/20 The white color with pearls creates the most adorable and plump aegyo-sal with just one swipe! I honestly can't do my makeup without this now. It's my holy grail, and I absolutely recommend it! You must get shade 11! I can't stress enough how amazing shade 11 is! There's not really anything to complain about, but if I had to nitpick, I'd say the staying power could be a bit better. - df*********Dry SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 10, 2025
This whitish ivory glitter pencil has a noticeable pearlescent effect. I love how versatile it is - you can use it not just for aegyo-sal, but also for the inner corners of eyes, nose tip, cupid's bow highlight, and more! The base color is quite intense, so if you're not careful, it can look like you've drawn a stark line or leave your under-eye area looking too pale. Also, it's disappointing that the staying power is very short. How to improve longevity: The Hwahae Testers know that while Protage pencils are gorgeous, they're notorious for poor staying power. I've tried various methods - eye primer didn't work, and using a concealer pencil as a base made my under-eye area dry and was a hassle. The best solution I found was to lightly spritz a fixing spray on the tip brush or the pencil itself before application. Gently pat it on for the best longevity and minimal glitter fallout! Tips for beautiful application: (Please refer to the comparison photos) I always recommend using a tip brush with Protage. This method allows you to touch up easily when you're out without carrying multiple Protage pencils. The ruby cell material is specially designed for handling glitter, allowing for a beautiful application without fallout. This technique also ensures the base color isn't too overpowering, resulting in a subtle, pearl-focused finish that looks more natural. The brush is only 1000 won at Daiso, so definitely give it a try and compare! If you can't get a separate tip brush, try patting it on or applying in short, broken strokes (- - - - - -) for a more natural look!
