ProsOne great thing about this tint? It can slightly neutralize the intensity when you apply a dark lip tint. My lips are naturally quite pigmented, so I always use a cushion to tone down the color before applying anything. When I use this as a base and then layer on color, the result is closer to the tint's true shade. That's what made it work well for me.
ConsHowever, using this alone as a base is absolutely impossible. When I swatched it on the back of my hand, it looked like a lovely pale strawberry milk color, which was really nice. But on my lips, it was way too white and just sat on top of my lips. Instead of applying smoothly and feeling moisturizing, it floated like oil. What Merrimonde calls their special formula was actually disappointing to me. It emphasized wrinkles terribly and left brush marks. Even though I usually suit pale tones, this didn't work for me at all. I can't use it on its own, so I'll use it to neutralize other lip tints. Think of it as a pink with a lot of white that sits on your lips. After applying it, you might look a bit sickly!
