  Pros

  True to its name, it felt like it was brimming with hydration essence. It was incredibly moisturizing.

  Cons

  However, for a primer, its staying power was disappointingly poor. After using it once, I've relegated it to just being a prescription filler.

  Pros

  When I first used it, I didn't feel constant hydration after application. It absorbed quickly and left a slightly moisturized yet matte finish, so the effects seemed minimal at first. I couldn't really tell the difference between using it and not using it. However, later when I mixed it with a drier foundation, it was amazing! It made the foundation much less drying, improved its absorbs, and even when it wore off, it did so beautifully. I absolutely love it now. I highly recommend mixing it with base products. I bought it in winter and used it extensively then. It definitely reduced dryness and made my complexion look much better. Now it's summer, so the benefits aren't as noticeable, but I still recommend it!

  Cons

  The lasting power isn't particularly impressive. The hydration doesn't stay constant throughout the day. However, when mixed with foundation, it does feel much more moisturizing.

  Tip

  Try mixing it with a drying foundation!

  Pros

  1. Surprisingly lightweight formula As someone with combination dehydrated skin - oily T-zone and butterfly zone but dry elsewhere - I'm not a fan of sticky or overly rich formulas. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this product. Despite being a hydrating primer, it wasn't heavy or sticky at all, which I really liked. That said, those with oily skin might find it a bit rich. Recommended for combination dehydrated or dry skin types! 2. Subtle shimmer that's not over the top I was initially hesitant about the shimmer, but once applied, it doesn't look glittery or like you've just slathered on sparkles. Instead, it gives a nice, natural glow that's quite pleasant. 3. Effective for dead skin cells and fine lines My skin tends to get flaky, so I rely on hydrating primers. After using this product and applying foundation, I noticed significantly less flaking. It's particularly effective around the eyes and mouth, minimizing the appearance of fine lines. This is the aspect I'm most satisfied with.

  It helps keep your makeup from settling into lines while providing hydration, but it can also make your makeup transfer easily. For combination dehydrated skin, I'd recommend pairing a semi-matte cushion with this Daisy C primer rather than a moisturizing cushion. For dry skin types, try combining the Hince Glow Cushion with the Daisy C primer for best results!
