1. Pros - Excellent pore coverage even for very large pores - Reduces redness to some extent - Leaves skin with a soft, matte finish - Despite being mini-sized, it contains a generous amount of product 2. Cons - Requires very careful application; even when spread well, the foundation can still form small clumps (must check in bright lighting) - mi*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRednessRecommendedJul 1, 2025
This creates a soft and velvety skin texture, which I really like. It tends to accentuate dead skin cells when present, so I wasn't a fan then. However, when my skin is free of flakes, applying it to the center of my face seems to improve staying power and create a smoother finish, especially for oily skin types. I prefer using just a small amount, as I feel using too much might create a thick layer. It's great that they offer both large and small sizes. Even the smaller size lasts me quite a while! On days when I have flaky skin, it's best to avoid areas with dead skin cells as it emphasizes them and makes your makeup look worse. I was hoping for some color-correcting effects due to its green tint, but I didn't notice much difference - though that might be because I applied it thinly. For best results, make sure your skin is well-exfoliated before application. This primer works hard to create a smooth canvas, but it can't perform miracles on rough texture. Remember, a little goes a long way with this product. Start with a small amount and build up if needed for that perfect Inner Glow without any pilling or stickiness. - dd*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 29, 2025
As someone with noticeable pores, I've tried several famous pore-focused primers, but this one takes the crown! It's truly the best I've used. There's a slight pilling issue, unfortunately. However, it becomes less noticeable when you apply foundation or cushion over it. (You can eliminate it by gently patting with your fingers.) I highly recommend starting with the mini size before investing in the full-size product. Even the mini version comes with a generous amount! - js*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessJun 29, 2025
I bought this because I heard it was amazing, and the one satisfying thing was that the primer has a slight green tint, which provided some color-correcting effects. It severely emphasized my pores, pilled, and even though my skin texture was good, it made my makeup look patchy and cakey. It was awful, and I never want to buy it again. I purchased this because it was supposed to be great for large pores, but I'm shocked to find that this primer actually makes pores stand out even more! Despite the hype, this product fell short of expectations. While the green-tinted primer offered some color correction, its performance on pores and overall makeup application was disappointing. It's particularly frustrating for those with enlarged pores, as it seems to exacerbate rather than minimize this concern. - jh****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJun 27, 2025
There are no positive aspects to mention. No redeeming qualities whatsoever. Even when applied sparingly, it doesn't play well with makeup, causing it to look patchy and uneven. Using such a small amount defeats the purpose of the product, and when it breaks down, it emphasizes pores like nothing else. If you only see glowing reviews, be skeptical... - jh*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsJun 18, 2025
I bought this after seeing all the YouTubers recommending it. Honestly, I thought it was just sponsored content at first and held off. The fact it wasn't available at Olive Young made me hesitate even more. It's my first time using a primer, and to be honest, I didn't notice a dramatic effect on pore coverage. Don't expect this to magically make your pores invisible. But the staying power is absolutely insane. My nose and T-zone usually get super oily, causing my makeup to break down and look all kinds of messy. With this primer though? The areas where I applied it stayed flawless. Even as oil starts to come through over time, it somehow makes it look... pretty? It creates this beautiful glow rather than a mess. Update: After writing this review, I noticed that while pores are well-covered right after application, they do become visible over time. But honestly, no primer can cover pores 100%, so I'm satisfied with this level of performance! The price...? And the fact it's not available at Olive Young, which makes it less accessible. Those who are raving about this product apply a tiny amount and wait about 3-5 minutes before putting on their base makeup. That's the key to preventing it from pilling. I'm too lazy to use a spatula, so I just apply a small amount with my fingers. Even then, if you wait a bit before applying the rest of your makeup, it won't pill. The waiting time seems to be the most crucial point! - ye*********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 17, 2025
✨Key Points✨ I have redness around my nose, butterfly zone, and T-zone. My butterfly zone is especially prone to enlarged pores and blackheads, making it impossible for me to go out without applying anything to my skin! I also have combination dehydrated skin that's super sensitive - even the slightest mistake in applying skincare can lead to tiny blemishes the next day! ❗️Skin Perfecting Effect While it might not be obvious in the photo I've attached, this product smooths out my complexion and gives it a soft, matte finish. As someone with redness-prone skin, I feel it subtly evens out my skin tone when applied (though I didn't use a large amount, so it's not too noticeable). In person, you can definitely see the difference. When I apply cushion foundation over it, it significantly boosts the coverage of my redness! ❗️Pores This product really delivers as a primer. I have noticeably large pores in my butterfly zone, and this truly helps to fill them in. ❕Slight pilling with makeup (minor issue) You really need to apply the tiniest amount to your skin. To be honest, I've been a "primer nomad" until now... No matter what I used, my makeup would always pill over primers. This one does pill a bit too (but that might be because my skin is particularly problematic... sigh). However, the less you apply, the less it pills. This could actually be seen as an advantage - even a small amount provides great pore coverage. The irony is that because you're using such a small amount, the redness-covering effect I was hoping for is slightly less noticeable. That's the trade-off. Still, it pills less than other primers I've tried! Remember to use only a tiny amount! Instead of applying it all over, just spot-treat the areas that need pore coverage and redness correction. - le***********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedJun 8, 2025
First off, the first two photos show my makeup after using this product. Both were taken well over 8 hours after application. The third photo is without using the product, and the fourth is my bare skin. What I loved most about this product is that it doesn't settle into my smile lines. That's usually my biggest stress! Also, I'm not sure if it's just me, but while it doesn't cause pilling around my nose and surrounding pores when I apply makeup, it tends to ball up on my cheeks... So I can't apply it there. If anyone knows why, please let me know in the comments! The staying power seems good too. Oh, and I didn't experience any blemishes after using this 👍👍 I've really shared all my pore secrets with you all, so give it a try! There weren't any major downsides, but I'm puzzled about why it pills on my cheeks. You really need to be careful with how much you apply. - a0**********Dry SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRecommendedJun 1, 2025
I bought this because it seems to be the most famous primer out there. I was considering the original version, but it was too big, so I went for the green one that comes in a smaller size. At first, I applied it with a spatula, but then got lazy and started using my fingers to pat and blend it in. Even though I have dry skin, my T-zone gets oily in summer. After using this primer, my makeup definitely stays matte throughout the day. I don't have large pores, so I can't really tell how well it covers them. The green color is supposed to cancel out redness, but if you apply enough primer to actually cover redness, your makeup will start pilling. So you have to use just a small amount. The green tint doesn't seem to make much of a difference. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. This review highlights the product's effectiveness in controlling oil and maintaining a matte finish, especially for combination dehydrated skin types. The user appreciates the smaller size option and the ease of application. While the green tint for color correction doesn't seem particularly effective, the overall performance of the primer appears satisfactory for evening skin tone and creating a smooth base for makeup. - an*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 24, 2025
It's quite good, I must say... As someone with large pores, this product does an excellent job of concealing them and has impressive staying power. My nose area, in particular, remains flawless. I paired it with the Jung Saem Mool Mesh cushion, and wow... the combination worked wonderfully, applying smoothly without emphasizing any skin texture. Impressive... It doesn't accentuate whiteheads and does a great job covering redness too. The texture feels quite thick, which makes me worry it might not be the best for skin health. It would be nice if a liquid version could offer the same effects. To be honest, there aren't any major drawbacks. Apply an extremely small amount, gently rolling it onto the skin. Layer a bit more on areas with larger pores. Even though I have dry skin, it can get a bit oily later on, so I just blot with a tissue when that happens. I wouldn't recommend pairing it with very oily cushions. It seems to work best with cushions that have a fine texture.
