ConsIt's a bit disappointing that it's difficult to generate lather and when trying to work up a lather by rubbing it in the palms, half of the foaming cleanser ends up falling to the bottom, leaving only about half remaining in the palms. While using this product doesn't cause any additional skin troubles, it doesn't have a significant effect on blackheads or blemishes either. I repurchased and used this product, but once I finish it, I plan to try a different foaming cleanser.
TipYou can squeeze out the foaming cleanser onto your dry hands, gently massage it with your fingertips, then rinse with water to create a lather. This way, the product won't drip down onto the floor while you're using it.

I often use alkaline cleansers, but they tend to irritate my skin and strip away moisture, throwing off my oil and moisture balance. That's why I decided to try this product! The Cetaphil cleanser contains BHA and is slightly acidic, allowing me to manage blemishes, sebum, and blackheads without irritation. Many BHA products leave a squeaky-clean feeling, but this one contains aloe vera, which keeps my skin hydrated even after cleansing - I love that! It's also fragrance-free, making it perfect for those with sensitive noses. While it doesn't produce an abundance of rich lather, it creates enough foam for a gentle, satisfying cleanse. 💧After cleansing, my skin doesn't feel dry, and the effective cleansing seems to have made my pores look cleaner! I use retinol and vitamin C products daily in my skincare routine, so I can't use BHA in my regular skincare steps. Having BHA in my cleanser allows me to confidently use my other skincare products without worry.
ConsThe foam is less than expected, so using a foaming net might be helpful!

After using a sebum softener to remove excess oil, I follow up with Cetaphil for a second cleanse. This method effectively removes sebum from my nose without causing irritation.
ConsIt seems like no cleansing foam products work well for me. The acne on my chin just won't go away.

Overall impression: This is a super gentle and hydrating foam cleanser with decent cleansing effectiveness! It worked wonders when my skin barrier was compromised. Just note that the usage is different from regular foam cleansers - use it like a cleansing oil. Massage without water, then gradually add small amounts of water to create a fine lather. Recommended for those who dislike tight, dry skin after cleansing, those worried about blemishes due to imbalanced oil and moisture, and those with super sensitive skin from a damaged barrier. It's marketed as an acne-fighting foam cleanser, so I initially bought it for my teenage sibling struggling with blemishes. They didn't use it, so I (25 years old) tried it myself and am reviewing based on the product description: 💦 Gentle yet powerful cleansing for acne-prone sensitive skin It's a low pH product with high-concentration salicylic acid (BHA) to effectively remove sebum and dead skin cells without irritation. In my experience, it was indeed very gentle! Cleansing power was decent. 💦 Excess sebum care (blackheads, whiteheads, oiliness) Not sure about this one! The cleansing effectiveness is okay, but a bit lacking for my extremely oily skin. 💦 Skin texture improvement It's supposed to improve rough skin texture through exfoliation. While I'm not sure about the exfoliation, it did keep my skin hydrated, which seemed to reduce flakiness. 💦 Deep cleansing without dryness This was definitely true! It left my skin feeling hydrated, not just 'not dry'. It's the most hydrating low pH foam cleanser I've used, and surprisingly didn't leave a slippery finish. I usually dislike that slippery feeling, so this was a plus!
Cons🫠 The texture is very thick and hydrating, so it really doesn't lather much... 🫠 The high price point is quite a significant drawback! 🫠 It's a foam cleanser that should be used with very little water, which takes some getting used to! I've messed up more than once by habitually using too much water and not being able to use it properly... 🫠 My skin actually prefers slightly alkaline over low pH cleansers, so this aspect was disappointing for me. However, it might be great for those with a damaged skin barrier who can't handle harsh cleansing, or those noticing small blemishes due to imbalanced oil and moisture!
TipIt worked wonders when my skin barrier was compromised!

ConsIt doesn't lather as much as expected. Those who prefer a squeaky-clean feeling after cleansing might be a bit disappointed.

Despite containing 2% BHA, there's no irritation at all. I use it every morning for cleansing. Unlike typical low pH foams, it doesn't feel slippery and rinses off cleanly. However, it's not as squeaky clean as alkaline cleansers, which is perfect for my oily skin even in the morning. With consistent use, I think it could be effective for blackheads and whiteheads too.
ConsThe runny texture is quite different from regular cleansing foams, which takes some getting used to. It's shy and I'm shy too, so if you try to quickly work up a lather like with normal foams, it's already disappeared somewhere! You need to gently place it in your palm and carefully (almost staring at it) aim to create foam. Because it doesn't foam up much, you end up using more product. When you're running low, you'll find yourself thinking 'This won't be enough!' and using even more.
TipDue to its low surfactant content, it doesn't produce much foam. Once you wet it, the lather is minimal, but try wetting it again. You might think 'If I add more water, won't it just wash away?', but adding water once more actually creates a dense lather. Alternatively, using a bubble maker could work well too.
