I often use alkaline cleansers, but they tend to irritate my skin and strip away moisture, throwing off my oil and moisture balance. That's why I decided to try this product! The Cetaphil cleanser contains BHA and is slightly acidic, allowing me to manage blemishes, sebum, and blackheads without irritation. Many BHA products leave a squeaky-clean feeling, but this one contains aloe vera, which keeps my skin hydrated even after cleansing - I love that! It's also fragrance-free, making it perfect for those with sensitive noses. While it doesn't produce an abundance of rich lather, it creates enough foam for a gentle, satisfying cleanse. 💧After cleansing, my skin doesn't feel dry, and the effective cleansing seems to have made my pores look cleaner! I use retinol and vitamin C products daily in my skincare routine, so I can't use BHA in my regular skincare steps. Having BHA in my cleanser allows me to confidently use my other skincare products without worry.
ConsThe foam is less than expected, so using a foaming net might be helpful!

Unlike other low pH cleansers I've used that left my skin feeling slippery and not quite clean, this one doesn't do that at all. It's refreshing!
ConsThe price point is a bit high, and it doesn't lather up as much as I'd like. Because of this, I find myself using more product than usual.

Despite being mildly acidic, it boasts powerful cleansing effectiveness that even tackles blackheads, which I find truly satisfying.
ConsIt's a bit disappointing that the formula contains two ingredients from the list of 20 cautionary substances.

Despite containing 2% BHA, there's no irritation at all. I use it every morning for cleansing. Unlike typical low pH foams, it doesn't feel slippery and rinses off cleanly. However, it's not as squeaky clean as alkaline cleansers, which is perfect for my oily skin even in the morning. With consistent use, I think it could be effective for blackheads and whiteheads too.
ConsThe runny texture is quite different from regular cleansing foams, which takes some getting used to. It's shy and I'm shy too, so if you try to quickly work up a lather like with normal foams, it's already disappeared somewhere! You need to gently place it in your palm and carefully (almost staring at it) aim to create foam. Because it doesn't foam up much, you end up using more product. When you're running low, you'll find yourself thinking 'This won't be enough!' and using even more.
TipDue to its low surfactant content, it doesn't produce much foam. Once you wet it, the lather is minimal, but try wetting it again. You might think 'If I add more water, won't it just wash away?', but adding water once more actually creates a dense lather. Alternatively, using a bubble maker could work well too.
