Skin type: Acne-prone, oily skin After cleansing, there is no tightness or irritation, and it contains salicylic acid I've repurchased it and have been using it without any issues~ It's a bit disappointing that it's difficult to generate lather and when trying to work up a lather by rubbing it in the palms, half of the foaming cleanser ends up falling to the bottom, leaving only about half remaining in the palms. While using this product doesn't cause any additional skin troubles, it doesn't have a significant effect on blackheads or blemishes either. I repurchased and used this product, but once I finish it, I plan to try a different foaming cleanser. You can squeeze out the foaming cleanser onto your dry hands, gently massage it with your fingertips, then rinse with water to create a lather. This way, the product won't drip down onto the floor while you're using it. - vy********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 25, 2025
After washing my face, it feels moisturized and it's great to use as a salicylic acid product. I experienced a lot of blemishes after using it, but I'm not sure if it's because of this product... - ma********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 31, 2024
While I don't have acne-prone skin, I occasionally struggle with small bumps, whiteheads, and blackheads. I often use alkaline cleansers, but they tend to irritate my skin and strip away moisture, throwing off my oil and moisture balance. That's why I decided to try this product! The Cetaphil cleanser contains BHA and is slightly acidic, allowing me to manage blemishes, sebum, and blackheads without irritation. Many BHA products leave a squeaky-clean feeling, but this one contains aloe vera, which keeps my skin hydrated even after cleansing - I love that! It's also fragrance-free, making it perfect for those with sensitive noses. While it doesn't produce an abundance of rich lather, it creates enough foam for a gentle, satisfying cleanse. 💧After cleansing, my skin doesn't feel dry, and the effective cleansing seems to have made my pores look cleaner! I use retinol and vitamin C products daily in my skincare routine, so I can't use BHA in my regular skincare steps. Having BHA in my cleanser allows me to confidently use my other skincare products without worry. The foam is less than expected, so using a foaming net might be helpful! - 72*****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 28, 2024
I've noticed the size of my blemishes gradually decreasing. I used this during the day and a mildly alkaline product at night. When I stopped using it thinking it wasn't effective, my blemishes started growing and my skin seemed to deteriorate. Now that I've started using it again, they're shrinking once more. A foam net is absolutely essential. I create a lather, leave it on my face for two minutes, then massage while rinsing. The foam disappears quickly. Strangely, my face feels itchy after using it. I want to keep using it, but the itching is unbearable. - tw********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedSep 11, 2024
I only use cleansing foam once a week because it aggravates acne on my chin. After using a sebum softener to remove excess oil, I follow up with Cetaphil for a second cleanse. This method effectively removes sebum from my nose without causing irritation. It seems like no cleansing foam products work well for me. The acne on my chin just won't go away. - dl********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 29, 2024
It wasn't bad at all! I think it might even be helping to calm my blemishes! It feels a bit slippery, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. - aw*******Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedAug 22, 2024
I noticed it was effective in reducing redness and inflammatory acne However, small whiteheads and tiny bumps still appeared... I'm not sure if this is part of the process or if the product just can't prevent them. Still, the absence of inflammatory acne and redness makes my skin look much clearer, so I've decided to give it another try. I find myself using more product than expected, and it's not as cost-effective as I thought it would be - mw******Combination SkinAcne SkinAug 22, 2024
I'm struggling to find even 20 characters worth of positive things to say about this product. The formula barely lathers and doesn't mix with water at all, just sliding right off. It completely irritated my skin, so I had to throw it away. I strongly advise those with super sensitive skin to avoid this product. - gr*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsAug 8, 2024
I used this as a second cleanser to tackle chin acne and folliculitis. After using it for about 2-3 months, I didn't notice any dramatic effects, and the texture was hard to control! It's also on the pricier side... I'm not sure if it would even work on those red blemishes that pop up during puberty... If you're still keen on trying it, I'd suggest using it with a foaming net and gradually mixing in a bit of water! - ya*********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsAug 6, 2024
With 2% salicylic acid, it seems great for tackling blemishes and blackheads It's a hassle to lather up, and even when you squeeze out a lot, it doesn't foam well. After rinsing, there's a slippery feeling left on the skin
