  This cream is perfect for summer use - it's cool and lightweight! The instant soothing effect is really impressive, and it's so easy to apply smoothly. In my experience, it's great for combination dehydrated skin, and I think it would be a solid choice for those with healthy skin during the summer months.

  Oddly enough, I dislike that typical soothing cream feeling of a thin film covering the skin, and this one gave me a similar sensation. I also experienced some slight itching. While it didn't cause any major blemishes, I found myself constantly touching my face, which left me with an unpleasant feeling several times.

  Tip

  I found it works wonders when applied before a modeling mask or layered thickly over a regular sheet mask and then washed off. It really calms the skin, provides excellent hydration, and eliminates that finish I mentioned earlier that I wasn't fond of. I thought this could be a great alternative for those who don't react well to aloe gel, using it in the same way. However, it's not exactly budget-friendly as a substitute.

  Pros

  I wanted to see just how good it was, so I applied only this for nearly two weeks in the evening. Even after using just this for a week, my skin felt so moisturized that I wanted to repurchase it. I could quickly notice my skin texture improving. As someone with oily skin, I used to get shiny around my smile lines and T-zone by lunchtime after applying makeup in the morning. But after adding the Goodal Soothing Cream to my existing skincare routine, I noticed significantly less oil production! It was amazing not having to touch up my makeup. The most effective use I found was with the 'Hyal Shower' technique - applying this cream made my face glow and feel so hydrated, it was truly wonderful.

  Cons

  I don't usually get many blemishes, but from the second week of use, I started getting a lot of breakouts on my forehead, chin, and cheeks... While I can't be certain it was because of this product, there weren't any other major changes in my routine, so I'm only giving it 3 stars. It's disappointing that it doesn't come with a spatula.

  Tip

  Applying this lightly as the final step of your makeup routine provides sufficient hydration and makes your makeup last longer. I found it most useful when incorporating it into the famous 'Hyal Shower' technique from X!

  Skin type: Sensitive, small blemishes, oily, dead skin cells It was okay for me. A bit dry for nighttime use, but great to apply in the morning before sunscreen. Even though my skin is extra sensitive during the season change, this didn't worsen my blemishes, so I'm using it well. Seems like it would be perfect for summer use.

  I haven't noticed any significant improvements yet... I think I need to use it more to tell. ++ Strangely... every time I use it, my skin reacts badly.. Guess it's not suitable for me...

  My skin type: Sensitive combination (doesn't suit Aestura, Dokdo series causes itching, Illiyoon clogs pores) Dehydrated oily skin / Large pores / Redness Product usage period: One week First off, I love the design of this product. The cool blue-mint color of the packaging gives the impression that it's packed with hydration. The texture is just right - not too rich, not too light! It absorbs at a decent speed too. There's definitely a cooling effect. As soon as I applied it, I felt an instant soothing of redness and a refreshing sensation. Long-lasting moisture barrier The product description mentions a water barrier formula that forms a layer on the skin, and I can truly feel that moisture barrier clinging to my skin surface even now in the afternoon. This might be great for those whose moisturizers absorb quickly and leave their skin feeling dry again.

  Cons

  I've tried layering this product on thickly. It was fine at first, but by the afternoon, I started getting small bumps like pimples and itchiness. To be honest, I was already wary because Goodal's Vitamin cream made my skin flare up red immediately and became a buried-in-the-drawer item. In the third photo, you can see patchy red areas that became itchy. Besides these spots, my forehead and between my eyebrows also felt itchy. I'm not sure if it's the Houttuynia Cordata extract that doesn't agree with me, or if I need more time to adapt, but I've decided to keep using it for now. (The reaction does subside after a few hours. Also, it's less severe if you apply it to damp skin. Don't use it alone on dry skin, apply it to a slightly damp face.) Some reviews say it doesn't pill under makeup, but hmm~ I feel you'd have to use a really tiny amount just on the T-zone, otherwise it might pill like dead skin cells if used before makeup. What I suspect most is the yeast ferment filtrate in this product. Fermented products tend to cause itching and don't suit me - even Manyo Factory's brown skincare products don't work for me. If Houttuynia Cordata or fermented ingredients don't agree with you, I wouldn't recommend this product.

  Tip

  There's no spoon-like spatula included with this moisturizer. When you open the lid and remove the plastic cover, you're directly exposed to the product. This means there's a risk of dropping the glass jar if your hands are slippery or dirty, and dust or contaminants could get into the product. Since it's a hyaluronic acid product, you should apply it when your face is slightly damp. Keeping it in your bathroom cabinet and using it right after cleansing might be the most hygienic way to use this product.

  I loved the cooling effect when I first applied it! As someone with dry skin, I was worried about dryness or deep dryness, but there was none. I applied it in three layers, and while it didn't give me an intense hydrated glow, my skin didn't feel dry. Instead, it felt comfortable! However, when I wore makeup, it did get a bit dry, with some dead skin cells appearing on my cheeks and between my brows. It might be too much for cold weather, but I think it'll work well in summer. In bright light, I noticed my skin's texture seemed slightly improved. Of course, I don't expect this cream to solve 100% of my skin issues, so I'll keep using it to see more results.

  With the dry weather lately, my skin felt rough and flaky to the touch. But after applying this cream and sleeping, I woke up to find the hydration was still there, not evaporated at all! Instead of that rough feeling, my skin felt so moisturized - I was really satisfied. Personally, it's not just 100% hydration, there's a rich feel too. I think it would be great for combination skin in fall and winter, and even suitable for those with dry skin! The moment it touches your skin, you can feel a cooling effect. The scent isn't artificial - it's like a subtle mix of houttuynia cordata and unscented cream! It's exactly like a hyaluronic acid and barrier cream combo - you'll know what I mean when you try it! I have super sensitive skin prone to blemishes, but this caused no irritation! Goodal's sunscreen is gentle and my holy grail, and this product has increased my trust in Goodal even more.

  Cons

  While it's great for keeping skin moisturized in winter, it might be too heavy for oily and combination skin types in summer. I used a home high-frequency device after applying this product, and my skin felt a tingling sensation - maybe the high-frequency waves penetrated too deeply! It works well with galvanic devices, but doesn't pair well with high-frequency ones.

  Tip

  If you exfoliate and then apply this cream before bed, you'll wake up to a moisturized and smooth complexion! Using a galvanic device to help it absorb results in plump skin that looks great under makeup and gives you that healthy glow.
