  ‼️ For sensitive, combination dehydrated (summer), dry (winter), and redness-prone skin ✅ Suitable for sensitive skin My sensitive skin usually breaks out with blemishes or acne when a product doesn't suit me, but I didn't experience any skin issues after using this! The Hwahae ingredient list showed one potentially risky component for sensitive skin, which made me a bit worried, but it turned out fine! Seems like a gentle product. ✅ Feels like 80% hydration, 20% oil = Great oil and moisture balance 👍🏻 Compared to the T**** soothing cream I used before, which felt more hydrating and lightweight, this Goodal cream has a slightly thicker and richer texture. However, it doesn't feel overly oily, making it perfect for combination dehydrated to slightly dry skin types during winter! It seems to strike a nice balance between oil and moisture? 🌟

  ❌ Lack of spatula It would have been more hygienic if a spatula was included in the package. ❌ Fragrance It has a distinct scent (possibly Houttuynia Cordata?). While it's not an unpleasant 'old-fashioned' cosmetic smell, I personally don't like fragranced skincare products, so this was a bit disappointing for me.

  💡 This seems well-suited for combination dehydrated to slightly dry skin types! Those with oily skin might prefer a lighter product. 💡 For those with sensitive skin, I recommend applying a moderate amount rather than layering it on too thickly!

  Pros

  For combination skin with an oily T-zone: I personally prefer gel-type moisturizers, and this one has a nice texture between gel and cream, which I found quite pleasant. It provides ample hydration with just the right amount of richness, ensuring sufficient moisturization. The absorbs well, spreading easily across the skin. I appreciate that it's fragrance-free. (Though it does have that typical cosmetic scent.) When purchased during a sale, the price is quite reasonable.

  The lack of added fragrance means it has that typical cosmetic smell, which some might find off-putting. It's a shame it only comes in a jar. I wish they'd release a tube version as well.

  Pros

  This moisturizer has more of a gel-like texture than a cream. I used it without much expectation, but it absorbs quickly, instantly filling my skin with hydration. After application, there's no stickiness, just a moisturized feeling with a subtle glow. As someone with dry skin, one application might not be enough, but it's perfect for a light boost of hydration.

  Cons

  There's a slight herbal or alcohol scent that might not be everyone's cup of tea. The moisturizing power isn't particularly strong. It truly gives a clean and lightweight feel. I'd recommend using it alongside a richer cream or applying it multiple times. Also, it doesn't come with a spatula for scooping out the product. Given its texture, a tube packaging would have been much more convenient.

  For those with dry skin, I recommend layering it multiple times.

  Pros

  I've been using Dajayeon's Houttuynia Cordata serum year-round except in winter, and I'm also using Goodal's Houttuynia Cordata sunscreen. My cheeks were getting dry and irritated when I won this product. It provides hydration and soothes my skin in this dry season. However, in winter, I only apply a small amount to my cheeks. It calms my skin instantly. Goodal products are affordable, and I always keep their Houttuynia Cordata sunscreen stocked, using it well throughout the year. Goodal's Houttuynia Cordata line seems gentle and effective.

  Cons

  I wish the packaging was in a tube or came with a spatula. There's also a slight alcohol-like scent. I've used Dajayeon's Houttuynia Cordata mask pack and serum, Goodal's Houttuynia Cordata sunscreen, and Abib's Houttuynia Cordata toner pads, and this product is more concentrated than the others. While it's definitely effective for soothing, the hydration doesn't last long, and my skin feels dry after a while. S Nature's Squalane cream is definitely superior in maintaining moisture.

  Tip

  Since winter is always dry, I apply only a small amount of this product, then layer on other creams generously and finish with jojoba oil. This product is great for soothing and seems more suitable for warmer seasons. It should be used alongside hydrating essences to compensate for the lack of moisture. This product seems to be a good fit for oily skin types.
