For thorough sun protection, I use sunscreen before going out and then touch up with this sunstick when I'm out. I've heard that fewer cosmetic ingredients are better for the skin, so I'm sticking to the same Tocobo line.

Due to its soft texture, it might break easily... It hadn't happened before, but maybe because I've been tossing it around in my bag, it snapped at the base connection when I was about halfway through. I managed to stick it back together like a lip balm, though!

Being a hydrating product, I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin types in humid summers. At first, it gives a dewy glow, but it started to feel a bit slick on my skin... I'll need to find a summer-specific sunstick.

I'm down to about 1/4 left. This review is from someone who used it at least 3 times a day!

This is truly my holy grail sunstick! I carry it everywhere and recommend it to everyone. I was already on my third tube of Tocobo's sunscreen from the same line, and since it worked so well for me, I decided to try the sunstick too.

First off, the scent is a cool cucumber fragrance, just like the sunscreen. (Big fan of cucumber here!) If you're not into that, you might want to look elsewhere...

I think the texture is crucial for sun protection products since you need to reapply them frequently. In that regard, I highly recommend Tocobo's green sunstick! It's a hydrating formula that glides on smoothly without irritating the skin, and it's great for cooling down heat! I've found that overly firm sunsticks can actually cause redness due to friction... Plus, its softness makes it easy to apply even on tricky areas like around the nose.

Eye irritation is a big concern for me, but this didn't sting at all when applied to my eyelids.

I have oily skin, but I'd especially recommend this for those with dry skin! For oily skin types, I'd suggest it for any season except summer!

It's perfect for quickly swiping on the neck.
I don't use it on my face after foundation as I'm worried about pilling,
but I apply it to my neck after my foundation has set.

The sunscreen dispenser at the bottom is inconvenient.
You have to manually twist it each time you use it.

It goes on without any white cast, leaves a soft and matte finish, and is gentle on the skin - I love it!

I couldn't really feel the cooling effect, which is supposed to be one of the product's key features. Despite being marketed as a soothing and cooling sun stick, with claims of lowering skin temperature in 3 seconds, I didn't notice any cooling sensation. I wouldn't recommend buying it if you're specifically looking for that cooling effect. I'll try it again in the peak of summer, just in case it's not hot enough yet for the cooling to be noticeable. Also, because it has such a light texture, it felt a bit drying when I applied cushion foundation over it, especially for my dry skin type. I think I'll use this when I need something quick and easy to apply on its own.

I really appreciated that it's non-comedogenic! The application wasn't stiff or difficult, and there was absolutely no white cast or tone-up effect, which was great. It didn't sting my eyes, and there wasn't much residue left on the skin, making it suitable for use on its own.
