There's quite a tingling sensation right after application, which takes some getting used to at first, but it becomes more tolerable over time. However, perhaps due to my super sensitive skin, I experience some itching after use, so I can't use it too often - just once or twice a week. It absorbs well and doesn't feel sticky at all. While it might be a bit much for frequent use, it seems great for occasional skin care treatments. While it doesn't cause blemishes, it seems to irritate my skin, causing itchiness, so I use it with breaks in between. For me, using it once a week seems to be the right frequency. - sw******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRecommendedApr 8, 2025
I started with Daiso Riddle Shot 100 and now I'm using 300 and 700. I use 700 once a week and 300 every three days. The 300 is noticeably thinner and lighter than 700. It applies more like a serum than a cream and absorbs well. When I layer this, followed by a lightweight functional serum and finish with a cream, I definitely notice improved skin texture the next day. While my skin texture has improved, I haven't noticed any dramatic changes in blemishes yet. The instructions say you can use 300 daily, but that seems too harsh. I find it best to use 700 once a week and alternate with 300 in between. For those not using 700, using 300 every other day might work well. - se***********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 18, 2025
As someone with super sensitive skin, I felt a slight tingling sensation at first, but it subsided if I waited it out. The price point is great! If you have super sensitive skin, you might want to think twice before purchasing. It does cause a bit of a tingling sensation, so be cautious. - dl**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedOct 21, 2024
I switched from the 100 to the 300 because it worked well for me. 1. When small bumps appear, using this product followed by a hydrating one quickly calms them down. 2. While results may vary, I found it effective for inflammatory blemishes. 1. Naturally, it's more intense than the 100, so daily use might be too much. 2. If you don't follow up with hydration, it can be drying. - bu*********Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessRednessRecommendedJul 14, 2024
Like all spicule and retinol serums, it definitely has a pore-tightening effect. I used to use another brand's retinol shot 100, but I've gotten used to it and now use this 300 version. It's certainly more effective than the 100. And above all, the price is a huge advantage... I only use it once every 3-4 days, and I don't use much, so it lasts a really long time. When you first apply it, you might think it's not that tingling because you're used to the 100 version. But the next morning when you wash your face, it's incredibly sensitive. I was shocked as soon as the water touched my skin. So I strongly recommend getting completely used to the 100 before using the 300... otherwise, the irritation might be too intense. Additionally, I didn't feel the need to use both 100 and 300 together as the instructions suggest. The 300 alone was effective enough, and I found it irritating on the days I used it. There's no need to risk unnecessarily irritating your face every day. It seems excessive. Just use a toner, then the Retinol Action 300, followed by your preferred skincare products based on your skin's needs. I was considering buying the 100 to use alongside the 300 once I got used to it, but I've decided to stick with just the 300.
