I checked to see if it left any white or grayish cast on the face, but it sank in without any trace. I've been a loyal user of Round Lab's birch sunscreen for several bottles now, and I think they've done a great job with this kids' sunscreen too.
ConsThe downside is that it's a bit shiny? When you look at it, it tends to give a glossy appearance, almost as if you're sweating and your face is glistening. It's like there's an oily sheen on the skin.
TipIt would be great if they could release a kids' cleanser as part of a set with this.

Thorough sun protection! Baby Mild Sunscreen (The Hwahae Testers approved 🤩) - Gentle yet effective UV protection! - Zinc-based 100% physical sunscreen for UV scattering/reflection Sun protection factor: SPF50+ PA++++ Passed 4 types of irritation tests, including German Dermatest Carefully selected ingredients, free from 17 concerning components 5 types of ceramides Oat extract Ectoin and panthenol #StrongBarrier #IntenseHydration #SkinProtection #SoothingMoisture User Skin Condition: Sensitive, red, blemish-prone Lacking hydration with deep skin dryness Oily on the surface On hot summer days, my skin becomes extremely oily, with small bumps... The oil doesn't just explode, it flows! My face tends to heat up easily, and my skin becomes troublesome as summer approaches. Suitable for sensitive skin?! Even for baby skin?! OK!! These words drew me in, and I was incredibly excited to try the 'Round Lab Baby Mild Sunscreen' before even using it. Do you know that feeling when summer hits and your skin becomes so oily that even Arab oil tycoons would be jealous? When even after cleansing, applying just one basic skincare product makes your skin sticky and greasy? It's like my oil-moisture balance goes on a long vacation every summer... That's why finding the right sunscreen to apply daily, all year round, is even more crucial and challenging! Why does every sunscreen feel especially oily? My skin easily heats up, turns red, develops small bumps, and I even have sun allergies, making sunscreen an absolute must! However, I still haven't found my holy grail product. There are so many types of sun protection products these days, it's hard to choose! Product Experience: It has a fragrance-free, moisturizing texture that doesn't feel thick at all. The texture is amazing and spreads easily! As you apply it, it feels like it's holding moisture. You might wonder, 'How long can I keep spreading this?' The application is top-notch! It gives a slight whitening effect, and once absorbed, it leaves a healthy, glowing finish, almost like a dewy effect. I'm not sure if it's a pro or a con, but it does feel quite rich. Maybe it's because of the ceramides and oils in the ingredients. When I put water on my skin after applying the sunscreen, the water beads up and rolls off, showing that it won't easily wash off with sweat or water. It seems like it will provide good #adhesive protection against UV rays!
ConsIt felt so rich that my palms were shiny, making it feel stuffy and sticky for oily skin on a summer day. The product description of 'light and fresh without feeling heavy' seemed a bit off to me. (I usually only apply one cream as my skincare routine!)
TipI think this sunscreen would be great for moisturizing during dry seasons, as long as you avoid using it in summer. I have a strong feeling that it would be perfect for dry skin types! (It seems to offer moisturizing benefits as a bonus!)

My older children even transfer it to sunscreen compacts to carry around. With four kids using it, including 6-year-old twins, we go through it quickly! For moms with multiple children, a pump-style product would be fantastic too. I have to add more after our vacation. The kids played in the water for 5 hours under the blazing sun, and they didn't get sunburned at all! I was worried about their swimsuit straps, so I applied a generous amount on their backs and shoulders. It wasn't sticky at all. After a while, it even feels powdery! Parents, make sure to bring this for your little ones!
ConsI didn't really find any downsides. If I had to mention something... maybe it feels slightly oily? But even that sensation disappears after a while. Besides, isn't that true for all sunscreens?
TipJust apply it liberally everywhere. Arms, neck, back, face... it works great all over!

What impressed me was how incredibly smooth it applied - I had to double-check if it was really a mineral sunscreen! It spread as easily as an emulsion, making it a breeze to apply on my little one. The texture was so gentle, I actually questioned if it was truly a mineral formula. Another plus was how comfortable it felt on the skin. Unlike some sunscreens that can feel drying immediately, this one left our skin feeling hydrated and soothed. It's gentle enough that it didn't cause any irritation or dryness.
ConsAfter application, there was a slight shine on my skin. While this seemed fine for my child, it was a bit too oily for my liking. Since I usually layer foundation or a brightening moisturizer over my sunscreen, I had to blot with a tissue before applying my makeup to reduce the excess oil.
TipThis sunscreen is clearly formulated with children in mind, making it perfect for little ones. For adults, it might be best suited for relaxed weekends at home when you're going for a more natural, comfortable look.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsHere's a review from one of The Hwahae Testers: 1. Application It spreads easily like an emulsion, so both my kids applied it without any fuss. I tried it too. Unlike many mineral sunscreens with zinc oxide as the main ingredient, which often leave skin either extremely dry or overly greasy, this one strikes a nice balance. It's quite moisturizing, perfect for children. As for me, with my skin that gets oily in summer, some shine did appear over time, but I didn't experience any blemishes! My older child, who's in elementary school, usually gets small bumps whenever we use sunscreen, but this one didn't cause any! 2. Scent It has that typical zinc oxide smell, but it's not overpowering, so it wasn't bothersome. 3. Overall impression I'm entrusting our skin protection to this sunscreen this summer! If it can effectively shield my elementary and preschool kids during their summer break full of water activities and outdoor fun, I'll definitely purchase it with my own money!
ConsGiven its rich texture, active kids who sweat a lot might need frequent reapplication during outdoor activities. That could mean using up the product quickly, which might be a concern considering its price. Also, I'm not entirely sure about its water-resistance - whether it washes off easily or stays put in water.
TipFor cleansing, I use a large cotton pad soaked in Bio*ma cleansing water to gently wipe my kids' faces, followed by a face wash. For younger children, you might want to use a milder, child-specific cleansing water. Keep in mind that mineral sunscreens don't come off easily with just foam cleansers - that's worth noting!

I was about to give up when I got selected, so I used it more meticulously than anyone else. I was particularly worried because I occasionally get blemishes from sunscreens, but thanks to its mineral-based formula with great ingredients, I've been using it without any skin issues. Sorry for the delayed review, I wanted to use it thoroughly first. I hope this review helps others. Remember: Round Lab Baby Mild Sun Cream SPF50+/PA++++. It's great for both moms and babies to use together!
ConsThe only downside is that it's a bit rich, which can be slightly heavy in summer. You need a bit of technique to make it work.
TipSince it's on the richer side, here's a tip: apply once, blot with oil-absorbing sheets, apply again, repeat, then apply foundation - it works like a charm. I went swimming with my niece in summer, and it was great to use this product with its good ingredients. For kids, you can just apply it directly.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsIt absorbs quickly into the skin and spreads smoothly. Despite being a mineral sunscreen, which I usually don't prefer over organic or hybrid sunscreens, its application is remarkably gentle. As someone sensitive to fragrances, especially strong or mixed scents that can make me feel unwell, I appreciated its virtually unscented formula - you'd have to really try to detect any hint of fragrance. I found the level of moisture (more hydration than oil) perfect for dry skin types, except perhaps in summer. It's particularly impressive how it leaves almost no white cast once fully absorbed.
ConsFor my older children and my combination dehydrated skin, it felt a bit too rich. This could also be challenging for very young babies, as it's slow to absorb and leaves a rather moist finish. This makes it difficult to apply quickly, which is often necessary with children who dislike having products applied. While it's great for dry skin, the high moisture content means it doesn't adhere well to skin, making it unsuitable for active children who touch their face or body frequently. Regarding its water resistance, it seemed to withstand light water spray, but rubbing caused it to smear and come off, so it's not truly waterproof.
TipAs you can see, due to its rich texture, it's not recommended for use under makeup (unless you have very dry skin). When using it on babies, finishing with baby powder might be beneficial. Adults should also consider using powder as a final step.

Initially, it appears white, but blends in well when spread out. I often experience itchiness and eye irritation with sunscreens, but this one caused no eye discomfort at all. Perhaps due to its good ingredients, there was no itching either. When cleansing, it washed off completely without leaving any residue on my skin! The scent is nearly fragrance-free, which I found pleasant and not bothersome.
ConsIt tends to feel a bit sticky when applied to the face, and over time it becomes even more greasy. If you have combination dehydrated skin, you'll definitely need to finish with powder.
TipThis might be better suited for winter use rather than summer.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsIt applies lightly and feels refreshingly cool. There's a slight white cast, but it quickly fades to a subtle tone-evening effect. My son with atopic dermatitis didn't experience any blemishes from it. It spreads well on arms and legs without feeling dry, probably due to its rich texture. Even when sweating, reapplication wasn't bad - you could see little beads of sweat forming. I love how lightweight it is. I've been using Round Lab's Dokdo line for years, trusting the brand, and now our whole family will use this Baby Sun Cream too.
ConsIf I had to nitpick, the high oil and moisture content means you need to cleanse more thoroughly when reapplying. However, it doesn't feel heavy or suffocating at all.
TipFrequent reapplication was fine, and even when sweating a lot, a light rinse with water followed by reapplication worked well due to its high hydration. It might not work for those wearing makeup, but I found it excellent.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThis cream applies smoothly with excellent absorption. It doesn't feel sticky, so your face won't feel suffocated. Unlike other mineral sunscreens, it doesn't leave a severe white cast, so I use it frequently. As someone with dry skin, I often experienced deep dryness with mineral sunscreens, but this one doesn't cause any tightness and maintains moisture with its rich texture. Despite my severe dry eye condition, which makes even some basic skincare products irritating, this sunscreen doesn't sting my eyes, allowing me to use it without eye redness. It doesn't cause any blemishes, which is great since my skin usually gets itchy and red when products don't suit me. The high SPF also gives me peace of mind.
ConsFor sensitive individuals like me, there's a slight oily scent, though it's close to being unscented. While it absorbs well, it's quite rich, leaving the skin feeling slippery and oily after application. Hair keeps sticking to it, so powder is a must. It might be challenging for those with oily skin to use. There's some pilling when applying makeup, but patting it in helps. Being a mineral sunscreen, it doesn't wash off easily with just one cleanse.
TipDue to its rich texture, it leaves dry skin feeling moisturized, but you might want to lightly dust some powder to combat the shine. When applying makeup, take time to pat it in thoroughly to prevent pilling. Double cleansing is a must - that's just the nature of mineral sunscreens. It's a great product for safe use without causing blemishes or eye irritation, thanks to its gentle ingredients. Highly recommended for those with dry skin.
