Before reading my review, please note: Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin, prone to blemishes (previously) Lots of facial peach fuzz, easily accumulates dead skin cells Prone to folliculitis with even slight neglect 2. Current skincare routine: Cleansing: GuGu Shop Follicle Soap & Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree Bioderma Sensibio Cleansing Water Base: Lancôme Génifique Serum (for daytime) La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ (for nighttime) 3. Review: I bought this for those days when applying foundation feels like a chore, but just sunscreen alone makes me look too washed out. The texture feels moisturizing and spreads easily when applied. Even after a few hours, there's no darkening, and my complexion looks brighter. I love how it seems to adhere to the skin and gives a radiant look. The generous amount and the fact that you only need a small amount make it convenient for everyday use.
ConsAfter wearing it for a while, there's a slight feeling of pilling and it seems to sit on top of the skin a bit. You can notice it if you look closely, as shown in the photo. This happened even when I applied it to smooth, exfoliated skin.

If your bare face looks this good, you might wonder how much someone's spent at the dermatologist - it's that noticeably radiant. So it's not exactly a natural 'bare face' cream feel. That said, it's completely different from those strange, chalky, thick brightening products you see advertised on Instagram. While aggressive marketing is necessary to promote good products in the saturated cosmetics market, the indiscriminate use of product testers is a bit unfortunate. It could easily give the impression of being just another 'ad product'. It's a shame to see quite a few 1-star reviews from people whose skin type doesn't match... This product really shines for those who are a good match and can appreciate its true value - it's meant to be a long-term staple, not just a fleeting trend. The product's uniqueness is definitely apparent. When I apply it before going to the gym, my skin looks translucent and well-cared for, like I've had an intensive facial. That effect is so distinctive, it truly enhances your appearance beautifully. It's great to achieve that look at this price point. Plus, it has SPF 50 and all that. I've been using it generously and even bought one for my mom. The standout feature of this product is how it smoothly and quickly fills in even large pores on the nose, which is why I love it. While trendy primers like Bona Medusa create a matte filter-like effect where applied, making them suitable for clean, matte to semi-matte makeup application over foundation, they can't achieve a natural glow. That's because when the two formulas meet, they can cake up... In those situations, there's really nothing better than this for a one-step solution without using a primer.
Cons*Longevity Even if you think it's too bright at first, it darkens quickly. After 3-4 hours, the tone goes down. But if they added more pigment, it would become a heavy foundation, so this level is fine. The even color tone fades, but the texture remains (perfect coverage for pores and uneven skin). At that point, rather than reapplying this (which can lead to pilling and caking), I prefer to touch up with a thin cushion like Chantecaille for fixing. Oh, and if you have extremely oily skin, it might make your skin look even oilier later on. It's a product that works well for sensitive combination dehydrated skin types.
TipMixing this product with others tends to negate its unique benefits (glow, protective layer) and emphasize its drawbacks (oiliness, breakdown). I found it works best when applied in a thin layer and touched up in the afternoon for synergistic effects.

Since I started using it, I've received many compliments on how good my skin looks. I also appreciate the wide range of shades available.
ConsIf you apply too much moisturizer as a base, it can cause pilling and leave a powdery residue.

It provides light coverage that can gently conceal small blemishes or redness.
ConsYou need to use it on its own and be careful with the amount you apply. Otherwise, it can pill and look patchy on the skin.

It brightened my complexion by about two shades. To put it dramatically, it's like kabuki makeup, so I recommend applying it down to your neck to avoid a mismatched look. While it doesn't provide coverage, it does effectively brighten the skin tone.
ConsThis shouldn't be used as a sunscreen. If you apply it in the same quantity as sunscreen, you might end up looking ghostly with a floating face effect. I usually apply two layers of sunscreen before going out, but with this product, you shouldn't apply more than one layer. It tends to pill and clump when spreading, so you need to pat it in thoroughly to minimize this issue. You'll need to pat quite a bit to eliminate any streaks from rubbing. Fortunately, it didn't cause dryness, even over time, but it did leave a slightly oily finish. This led to some oil getting into my eyes, causing blurred vision and irritation. While the tone does settle a bit over time, it still looked unnatural, so I didn't reach for it often. It also didn't play well with makeup - the formula pilled, looked cakey, and the tone seemed to float unevenly on the skin. I wouldn't recommend this to those who prefer a natural tone-up effect or want to use it as a sunscreen substitute. I usually use shade 21N and bought 1.0, but it felt too light. If you want to try this product, I strongly suggest testing the color before purchasing. It might work well for combination dehydrated skin types during seasonal changes, and for dry skin types in winter.

It's so great that you don't need to apply sunscreen or brightening moisturizer separately - this one product does it all. It's a slightly beige-toned cream that evens skin tone naturally when applied. The texture is incredibly smooth, and it absorbs well. Unlike other brightening sunscreens that can leave a white cast or pill, this one absorbs nicely and keeps skin hydrated even when you apply small amounts haphazardly. It was perfect for my dry skin. It's a product that makes your skin look good enough to go out bare-faced, even if you're someone who couldn't before. These days, I just apply this and some lip color before heading out. I'm so satisfied with it that I plan to repurchase when I run out. Plus, it hardly transfers - awesome!
ConsIf you apply too much or layer it, it can pill slightly, so use a moderate amount. Also, it's better to spread it with your hands rather than using a puff.
TipApply it all over, then just use concealer on blemishes, and you'll have a 'no-makeup makeup' look - a beautiful face, complete!

I usually go for a foundation-free look and enjoy applying sunscreen with a slight brightening effect. So, I was excited to try this Ailenol bare-face cream. I loved the subtle glow and truly natural correction it provided. My skin felt comfortable without any heaviness or tightness. It's a great sunscreen if you pay attention to the amount you use and how it pairs with your skincare routine.
ConsPersonally, I found it a bit challenging to find the perfect skincare combination for this product. It has a moisturizing finish, which can sometimes lead to pilling or sliding when paired with hydrating skincare. Interestingly, it seemed to apply better when I significantly reduced my skincare routine and applied it on a lighter base.

The product is 50ml, and I liked that even with a small amount, you can see both brightening and sun protection effects at once. The color doesn't look unnatural on the face, but brightens naturally, which I really appreciated! Now that the weather is getting warmer and I needed sunscreen, this worked well for me.
ConsSince I have dry skin, I usually apply a hydrating moisturizer. I use Aestura for my moisturizer, but when I apply this sunscreen over it, it pills... So when using this, you should keep your skincare routine simple, maybe just an emulsion. The sunscreen itself seems to have some moisture in it, so you might need to be careful in summer.
TipFinish with a light emulsion or essence before applying the sunscreen. Everyone's skin is different, but even though I have dry skin, using heavy creams causes pilling and separation. Be careful...

When I look at tone-up products, I pay close attention to whether they apply evenly, if they're not drying after application, and if they don't look cakey. This product satisfied all three aspects! I applied it using just my fingers, patting it in gently. As you can see, my skin condition isn't great... When I took the photo, I hadn't even exfoliated, and you can clearly see blackheads on my nose (sorry about that!). When applied to skin in this condition, it definitely evened out my complexion and made it look more stable. It even had enough coverage to hide the blackheads completely. Of course, it didn't perfectly conceal deeper blemishes. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but this will be my go-to brightening moisturizer with SPF from now on! - Scent: There's no particular scent! Which is great because it's not overpowering! - Packaging: To be honest, the packaging design is a bit old-fashioned...? The orange color does catch the eye, but I think the design is a bit far from current trends! - I use Age 20's Velvet Resting Pact in shade 23 Medium Beige as my base makeup. It's a strange base that looks bright but somehow dark? From a distance, my face looks white enough, but up close, it seems darker? (I'm using it because it's moisturizing for winter) So I applied the Irénol No Makeup Cream just on the front of my cheeks before the pact, and it brightened nicely! There was no pilling either (of course, I was careful with the amount!). Above all, the biggest reason I couldn't use these tone-up sunscreens before was that my cheeks would get too dry later... I've thrown away quite a few after just a couple of uses, but Irénol wasn't drying at all! Of course, I made sure to keep my skin well-hydrated with my skincare routine, but other products would always dry out terribly after a while, you know? I highly recommend the Irénol No Makeup Cream for those with dry skin! It even seemed to improve the longevity of my base makeup :) - Blemishes: Oh, and most importantly, about blemishes after use? I have extremely sensitive skin that always breaks out when I use sunscreen... (I definitely don't get blemishes when I don't use sunscreen) I haven't been able to find a sunscreen that doesn't cause breakouts, so I've only been using pact... sigh... But! I don't think it's because of Irénol? haha. I need to change my pact puff, but I did get one or two pimples that were about to form? Or some itchiness? In other words, I didn't get any pimples or anything like that all three times I applied Irénol and sunscreen!! I'm planning to use Irénol No Makeup Cream a lot this summer... I'm so grateful to Hwahae for finally finding a sunscreen that doesn't cause breakouts...
ConsThe downside is, as you can see in the photo, it pills if you don't exfoliate! It pills and forms those little clumps... So make sure to exfoliate well before applying, and I think you'll be more than satisfied with this No Makeup Cream! Really! Oh, and looking at other reviews, many people say that shade 1.0 is very light, but I liked it! Everyone has different preferences for skin brightness, after all!
TipMake sure to exfoliate well before applying~

Not only does it brighten my complexion, but there's also no darkening effect, which I absolutely love! It's perfect for those days when you don't feel like putting on makeup - just swipe this on and you're good to go. It's so convenient and provides better coverage than I expected!
ConsOne downside is that you need to make sure your skincare products are fully absorbed before applying this, otherwise it might pill a bit. However, when I layered light skincare products and then applied this, it worked wonderfully! I have combination skin, and I think those with very oily skin might find it a bit rich.
TipIt's more moisturizing than I expected, so I finish with Laneige powder, which leaves my skin looking flawless! This technique might be helpful for those with oily skin too!
