I have an oily pore skin. The Hwahae product can be used on oily skin without a sticky feeling, even in the summer. When my skin was dry, I layered it twice, but it still felt dry. Pros
So far, I haven't really felt a big difference whether I used regular cosmetic products or not. But after using this serum, I definitely felt my skin became smoother. I can't say for sure that it's solely because of this product, since I used the same essence toner as before. But after applying this serum, my skin felt a bit more hydrated and slightly smoother. This smoothness is different from using a pad or exfoliator - it has a more firm, refined feel to it. What I also liked is the texture. As shown in the photo, it has a runny, fluid consistency with a slight viscosity, so it feels lightweight and pleasant to use. Even though I was worried it might be too heavy for my skin, it absorbed quickly after applying the essence toner. So I think this serum can be used at any step of the skincare routine. I'll likely continue to incorporate this into my skincare regimen going forward.

The only thing that could be considered a drawback was the dropper. I'm not sure if mine was defective, but no matter what angle or force I used, it just wouldn't draw up the product well enough (if you look at the first photo, you can see that I pressed it multiple times, but the product was drawn up unevenly). I don't use a lot each time I use it, so a small amount is fine, but there were times when just one press would only draw up a tiny bit, so I had to press it again and again, which was a bit disappointing. There is occasionally a phenomenon where some white powder gets pushed out. This seems to depend on how much was applied in the previous step, and there were times when a bit of white residue would appear along the jawline. The main ingredient is Galactomyces, so it feels smooth after just a day or two of use. The PHA exfoliating ingredient also seems to gently dissolve the dead skin cells, so if you use this consistently, you may not need a separate exfoliating routine. My skin type is dry, and I have been using the product consistently for 5 consecutive days. The viscosity is not too runny, so it applies well on the skin. After cleansing, I apply it as the first step, and it absorbs quickly without any greasy residue. After absorption, the skin feels immediately soft and smooth. The formula flows like water and is quickly absorbed!! It's completely non-irritating and I was happy that it didn't cause any breakouts or redness on my sensitive skin, even with daily use! The effect - my skin texture became soft and smooth, and it had a glowing finish that looked plump. Comparison - I was using a skin booster from COSRX, and while the COSRX product completely eliminated dryness underneath, the Hwahae product didn't address the dryness as much but instead had a more plump, bouncy finish that allowed the next products to apply smoothly. The effects were noticeably different when I skipped using it for a day - my base makeup really stood out more when I used the Hwahae product. I thought the Galactomyces product sample I used before seemed to suit me well, but when I used it again this time, I could clearly feel the difference! I usually have a lot of skin texture issues and struggle with whiteheads and blackheads, but after using this product for just a few days, I could feel my skin texture becoming smoother. I used to use multiple ampoules, but this one product is enough to take care of my skin concerns like exfoliation, skin texture, nutrition, and hydration.
