My skin is thin and super sensitive. Packaging: I appreciated that it wasn't over-packaged and came with instructions. The 50ml size is generous, and the long dropper allows you to use every last drop of the product. Texture: Although it has a water-like consistency, it doesn't finish like a toner when applied. It leaves the skin feeling smooth and fresh, temporarily minimizing the appearance of dead skin cells. Hydration: Despite its watery texture, it provides adequate hydration. However, it's not exceptionally moisturizing - just average for a toner. Those with dry skin might find it insufficient to use alone. Dead skin cells: I have some flakiness, and while I didn't see dramatic changes during the Hwahae Testers period, there was a slight reduction in dead skin cells. They're not completely gone, but less noticeable. Irritation (not recommended for sensitive skin): Despite having dry cheeks that don't usually break out, I consistently developed blemishes in this area while using this product. It also stung when applied to skin that wasn't in top condition. It doesn't seem suitable for daily use. Skincare absorption: The product claimed to enhance the absorption of subsequent skincare products, but I didn't really notice this effect. Skin texture: While it temporarily smooths the skin immediately after application, I didn't see significant long-term improvements in my skin texture. Avoid using this when your skin isn't at its best, and try layering it 2-3 times the night before applying makeup! Texture: ★★★ The galactomyces ingredient suits my skin well. I've tried various MISSHA products before, but this is my first time using it as a serum. It's convenient to apply directly to the skin without using a cotton pad, and it definitely refines the skin texture. Wish the camera could capture the difference! Dead skin cell improvement: ★★★★ Great for calming flaky skin on my cheeks and nose, which was especially dry due to winter. My nose bridge was so flaky it bothered me even when I only wore sunscreen, but it's much better after using this serum. No blemishes either, so the exfoliating ingredients must be working well for me. Formula and absorption: ★★★ As a serum, it has a slight viscosity. You need to quickly dispense one drop each on your forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin, then rub it between your palms. It absorbs quickly, allowing you to apply emulsion right after. Scent: ★★ Galactomyces has a slight smell reminiscent of rice water or saliva. It's a bit off-putting when you first dispense it, but the scent doesn't linger after application. It's just something you have to get used to. Dryness: ★★★★ Using this alone in winter isn't enough. Even after layering serum, moisturizer, a rich emulsion, and sunscreen, my skin still feels dry and tight. It's even more drying than just using toner. I'm not sure if it's due to the brightening ingredients or if the anti-aging effects are causing the tightness. I'll update after using it more. Since it contains brightening ingredients, make sure to apply sunscreen. If you have sensitive skin, test it on your neck and chin before applying to your face. For anti-aging benefits, extend application down to your neck! First off, I loved how clean and pretty the packaging was, and it's great that I can visually check how much product is left while using it! I was really satisfied to see that Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate was the first ingredient on the list, meaning it's the most abundant component. I also appreciated that it contains PHA, which helps with gentle exfoliation of dead skin cells. I thought it might be sticky, but it was less so than expected. It also contains hyaluronic acid, so it felt moisturizing when applied. I thought it might evaporate quickly, but it actually absorbed into the skin and maintained hydration for a while. Being cautious about my sensitive skin, I initially only used it in the evening. Despite my sensitive skin, I didn't experience any blemishes! Since all the ingredients are gentle, I think I'll continue using it with satisfaction. My complexion even seems brighter! There wasn't really anything I disliked while using it! First off, I found the scent to be nearly unscented, which made it comfortable to use. The texture is like clear water, but slightly more viscous. When applied, it absorbs surprisingly quickly without any stickiness, which I really liked. It didn't cause my makeup to pill or separate either! That's why it's perfect to keep by the bathroom sink - just apply it and then move on to your skincare routine. After using this, I noticed my skin felt smoother in the morning. It seems to gently exfoliate dead skin cells. My other skincare products seem to absorb better too. I'm really pleased with it! It's a bit inconvenient to apply with hands as it runs too quickly. It's not cheap like a toner, so you can't just pour it into your palms and apply it like you're washing your face. I'm not sure if I should use a cotton pad to apply it... The dropper-style packaging feels a bit inappropriate for this product. Since it's tricky to apply directly, I found it more convenient to use a cotton pad and apply it like an exfoliating toner!
