Its lightweight formula absorbs rapidly, and the cooling effect refreshingly soothes skin with heat sensitivity. Moreover, it leaves a moisturized finish, allowing for a non-drying and fresh application.
ConsCons: The cooling effect may cause temporary tingling or irritation for those with super sensitive skin. The hydration power isn't extremely strong, so those with dry skin might need an additional moisturizer.

Interestingly, it looks like aloe gel but is marketed as a serum. I couldn't really detect any fragrance. I tried it hoping it might help with dryness as winter approaches. The good news is that it didn't cause any skin irritation upon application.
ConsAbout two hours after application, my face turned red. It seems to lack any oil-based ingredients. While I didn't notice immediately, after some time I felt a slight deep dryness. The texture was a bit sticky right after applying, but it changed to a dry feel over time. It gives the impression of drawing moisture out of the skin as it dries. I don't think it's suitable for hydration. Moreover, despite emphasizing hyssop extract as a key ingredient, it's listed quite far down on the ingredients list, which seems misleading. You might as well think of it as just a gel containing niacinamide. However, while I'm not sure about the niacinamide concentration, the price feels quite steep. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase this again. I'd rather buy aloe gel. Calling this formulation a serum instead of a gel feels somewhat deceptive.
TipIf you need a gel without moisturizing agents, this might be suitable. I'd recommend it more for summer than winter.

The hydration and nourishment are truly excellent. It's a serum with both rich and moisturizing qualities. For my combination skin with severe deep dryness overall, this alone was enough to solve hydration issues up until late summer or early fall without needing a cream. For those with less oily and not very dry skin, this might be all you need. Although it's called a serum, the texture is more like a gel cream rather than being thin like other serums, which I think contributes to its better moisturizing effect. Personally, I loved how my skin condition improved the next day when I applied this before bed on dry skin days, followed by a thin layer of a soothing moisturizer. Highly recommended for those with parched, dehydrated skin. - It absorbs well too. Some serums are so thin they sink in immediately, but this one applies like a real gel cream, allowing you to cover your whole face with just a small amount. About the size of a kidney bean is enough to generously coat your entire face. Due to its gel-like consistency, it doesn't spread as thinly as typical hydrating serums, but it's easy to apply evenly and provides great hydration, so you don't need to use much. - As for brightening, it's hard to tell about fading freckles and blemishes without long-term use. I can't say for sure if they'll lighten in just two weeks, but it seems to help fade the redness left behind by hormonal acne on my chin quite well!
Cons- There aren't really any downsides for my skin type, but those with oily skin might find it heavy. I think this product is truly optimized for very dry skin.
