Interestingly, it looks like aloe gel but is marketed as a serum. I couldn't really detect any fragrance. I tried it hoping it might help with dryness as winter approaches. The good news is that it didn't cause any skin irritation upon application.
ConsAbout two hours after application, my face turned red. It seems to lack any oil-based ingredients. While I didn't notice immediately, after some time I felt a slight deep dryness. The texture was a bit sticky right after applying, but it changed to a dry feel over time. It gives the impression of drawing moisture out of the skin as it dries. I don't think it's suitable for hydration. Moreover, despite emphasizing hyssop extract as a key ingredient, it's listed quite far down on the ingredients list, which seems misleading. You might as well think of it as just a gel containing niacinamide. However, while I'm not sure about the niacinamide concentration, the price feels quite steep. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase this again. I'd rather buy aloe gel. Calling this formulation a serum instead of a gel feels somewhat deceptive.
TipIf you need a gel without moisturizing agents, this might be suitable. I'd recommend it more for summer than winter.
