  Pros

  I have seborrheic dermatitis, though it's not severe. Still, compared to others, my scalp odor develops faster, and even after thorough rinsing and massaging, I experience itching. I've tried many highly-recommended shampoos to address this. The verdict? I absolutely love this one... I've found my holy grail shampoo! My hair reaches my waist, and I've been getting quarterly treatments in the $100 range. But since using this hair bar, the dryness has disappeared.

  Cons

  I use it by rubbing it directly on my hair without using a net. This might make it run out faster, making it seem expensive. However, having tried many pricey and highly-rated shampoos, I don't find it overpriced. (I think using two or three bars a month is reasonably priced.)

  Tip

  When I used regular shampoo, I would follow up with both treatment and conditioner. But with this, using just one - either treatment or conditioner - somehow leaves my hair silky smooth and nourished, as if it's been deeply conditioned. It's bouncy and soft. I highly recommend it!

  The lather is rich and creamy. The fresh scent is delightful. The soap's textured surface prevents it from slipping out of your hands easily. Using the Cha Hong shampoo method (pre-wash, treatment, main wash), I found this shampoo less drying than my previous one. It reduced scalp itchiness and hair stiffness. After washing, I used to notice an unpleasant odor when applying emulsion to my damp hair, but with this Hair Bar, that issue is gone - it's wonderful! While the fragrance isn't overpowering enough to fill the entire bathroom as some reviews suggest, it effectively neutralizes scalp odors. Note: The photo shows the lather created by rubbing the soap with one hand. Naturally, using both hands will produce an even richer lather, so don't worry!

  Cons

  Given its bar form, finding a suitable place to store it can be tricky. I already use bar soap instead of body wash, so there isn't space for two soap bars in my shower. It would be great if they could release a soap dish or case alongside it.

  Tip

  For those with oily scalps, it's beneficial to shampoo twice. Especially when using the Cha Hong method I mentioned earlier, it ensures no residual treatment or conditioner remains on the lower part of the scalp or skin. For the pre-wash, use a thicker, richer shampoo, then follow with the Hair Bar for the main wash. This approach keeps your scalp from over-drying while maintaining a fresh feel, even during humid seasons.

  As soon as I opened the packaging box, before even seeing the product, a delightful fragrance wafted out. You can use it just like regular soap, and I found it to be more cost-effective than my previous shampoo. Perhaps due to its different formulation or the absence of harsh surfactants, my scalp itchiness disappeared. Additionally, after drying my hair, it had a beautiful, silky bounce to it. (I only used treatment on the ends of my hair.)

  Cons

  The downside was that, being different from conventional shampoo, it wasn't as soft initially, though this improved once my hair dried. Also, its soap-like form made storage a bit challenging.

  Tip

  It's best not to use lathering tools as they can cause the soap to dissolve too quickly. Instead, rub the bar directly on your head about 4 times, then 3 times on the ends of your hair. This method produces plenty of lather when you wash.
