The packaging is unique, and I was amazed by the magnetic closure! It makes my skin look great and gives me that Inner Glow. It's hydrating and barely transfers. The brightening moisturizer works well too - I'm satisfied!
ConsThe divider between the puff and sunscreen can be stiff, making it hard to open sometimes. Also, the puff feels a bit firm. After application, while it doesn't transfer when you touch your skin, you can still feel a bit of richness.

But this cushion is a game-changer! It's gentle and moisturizing, giving me that perfect brightening effect. I was worried the purple tint might make my redness worse, but it actually made my complexion look incredibly clear and radiant. I'm absolutely in love with it!
ConsThe puff absorbs too much product, which is a bit frustrating. I've resorted to using a puff from Daiso instead!
TipFor those with combination dehydrated skin, try applying this sun cushion and then gently blotting with oil-absorbing sheets. It leaves your skin with just the right amount of hydration!

First off, I'm thrilled and grateful to have been selected as one of The Hwahae Testers, giving me the chance to try out this product! - My skin type is oily in summer, and combination dehydrated skin the rest of the year. - I'm prone to blemishes due to an imbalance in my skin's oil and moisture balance. - While I've never had an allergic reaction to specific ingredients, ingredients that have worked well for my blemishes are >> tea tree and centella asiatica 1. I love how it gives an instant glow upon application. 2. It doesn't emphasize dead skin cells, even when applied without an intensive skincare routine. 3. I appreciate that it provides a natural brightening effect without leaving a ghostly white cast. However, it's not enough to cover imperfections or blemishes for a bare-faced look. 4. The cushion format is great - it doesn't get on your hands and makes reapplication a breeze.
ConsWhile my cheeks and chin are fine, my forehead and nose get oily. The puff seems to absorb too much of the sunscreen.
TipYou'll need to apply powder to your T-zone!

First, let me mention that I have combination dehydrated skin with some blemishes and acne scars. The application was excellent - it spread easily and I could cover my face with just a small amount. When used alone, I applied a sufficient amount and it went on smoothly without feeling heavy. I loved that it applied so thinly, making it easy to reapply during the day without feeling burdensome. As expected from a brightening moisturizer, it provided a nice tone-up effect, though this faded somewhat after about 8 hours. If you want longer-lasting effects, you'll need to reapply. Personally, I found it worked better for touch-ups rather than as a standalone product. When used alone, my oily skin became shiny over time and the coverage wasn't quite enough for my acne scars. However, when used for touch-ups after makeup, it helped control oil, maintained the tone-up effect, and kept my complexion looking fresh!
ConsThe downside is that the puff isn't great to use. It absorbs too much product, so not enough transfers to the skin when applying. Also, since I have oily skin, it got a bit greasy after a while, which sometimes led to blemishes.
TipI found using my own foundation puff instead of the included one gave much more satisfactory results! Also, if you have oily skin, I'd recommend using powder or oil blotting papers for oil control while using this product.

Highly recommended sunscreen cushion for those who dislike fuss Being a cushion type, it's quicker and easier to apply evenly with the puff compared to squeezing out cream and spreading it with your hands. It's also convenient for touch-ups when you're out. 2. Evens out sallow complexion If your skin tone isn't uniformly bright, this sun cushion with its subtle purple base leaves your face looking fresh and even-toned. I'm quite satisfied with the result! 3. Perfect as a makeup base It works great as a base before applying makeup. While it doesn't blur pores like a primer would, it does a decent job of covering smaller pores. It creates a nice canvas for foundation or other cushions. 4. Suitable for sensitive skin I've had issues with some sunscreens causing blemishes, but this sun cushion didn't trigger any skin reactions during use. *I recommend this for those who prefer light makeup and are looking for a quick, easy-to-apply product!
ConsCons: 1. May be challenging for those with oily skin to use alone due to its rich formula. You'll need to finish with powder! 2. While the large puff is nice, it doesn't seem to dispense the product as efficiently as it could. I've switched to using a different puff. 3. Being a sun cushion, it doesn't provide as much coverage as a regular cushion. It gives a very natural look, brightening the complexion by about half a shade. If you're looking to replace your makeup with this, I'd suggest using concealer after applying the sun cushion, or using it as a makeup base before your regular routine.
TipApply it as a base before your makeup routine. For me, it brightens my complexion by half a shade, making it great as a combined sunscreen and brightening moisturizer!

I honestly didn't even realize I'd won this. When it arrived, I was like, 'Huh? Why did I get this? Who sent it?' I even contacted Athe customer service to ask about it. In the end, I just used it... I only found out when I got a KakaoTalk message asking for a review! As a student, I'm always out and about, but I never wear sunscreen. Why? It's just too much of a hassle to squeeze it out and apply it separately. Plus, I'm often running late... But this product is already all set to go, so even a chronic latecomer like me finds it super easy to use. The design is so pretty, I love carrying it around at school! Actually, my sister sneakily opened the cushion that I had carefully stored in the delivery box and started applying it. She even asked if she could have it! (I said no, but we're sharing it now, haha) My family all have tangerine-toned skin, and this product perfectly complements our yellowish undertones. I'd love to get one for each family member! The scent? It's truly luxurious. Of all the cosmetics I've used, this product has the most delightful fragrance. Some people complained about the magnetic closure, but I actually found it more innovative and easier to open. Having both tone-up and sunscreen functions in one product? That's totally lucky-vicky!
ConsCome to think of it, maybe because I don't usually wear sunscreen, but 30,000 won for this one product feels a bit pricey for a student... It would be nice if they had frequent discounts. The texture and puff are quite, how should I say, powdery? It's on the matte side, so keep in mind it might be a bit drying. The puff also applies the product somewhat stiffly. It's fine for me since I still have firm skin, but older individuals might want to take note of this.
TipI have combination skin, and I applied this sun cushion right after roughly putting on toner and moisturizer. If you have drier skin, make sure to be thorough with your skincare routine! Also, the puff isn't that great... There's a puff at Daiso for 1000 won, use that instead. I've included a picture of it in the last photo.

Here's what I think: 1. Packaging At first, I couldn't find an opening button, but then I realized it has a magnetic closure! It's actually easier to open and close, and since it's not a push-button type, it's more convenient. This small difference made it feel more user-friendly right from the start compared to other products on the market! 2. Color I was worried it might be too purple like some tone-up bases, but it's not overpowering at all. It's more of a subtle lilac + pink blend. When applied to the face, the color isn't overwhelming. It gives a natural, even tone to the whole face without being excessive, which I really appreciate. 3. Size It's a bit larger than regular sun cushions, which is great! With tone-up products or sun cushions, if they're too small, it can be hard to apply evenly. This one is big enough to fit three fingers on the puff, making it perfect for quick application on busy mornings when you need to brighten your complexion and go! 4. Texture I already loved how the original Atté sunscreen felt like skincare, and this tone-up version is just as good! There's no dryness at all, and it applies as smoothly as a moisturizer. Usually, tone-up sunscreens can cake or separate when you layer them, but this one actually adds a nice glow when reapplied. I can see myself using this often!
ConsThere's nothing really to complain about, except maybe the puff is a bit large, so I might need to find a more suitable one.

The magnetic closure is convenient, and the mirror is generously sized. It feels cool and moisturizing when applied, and a single dab can lightly cover your entire face. The puff has micro-pores, which helps fill in deep smile lines even for those like me. Highly recommended for dry skin during seasonal changes. The purple shade gives a subtle, beautiful glow without being overwhelming, and it effectively neutralizes yellow undertones for a great brightening effect. It layers well without caking. There's a delicate, fragrant fresh rose scent. I plan to keep using this by purchasing refills.
ConsThe puff would have looked much cleaner if the top part wasn't white.
TipWhen I'm in a hurry, I skip sunscreen and use this brightening moisturizer directly.

Portability & Packaging One of the main advantages of sun cushions over sunscreens is the ability to apply without getting your hands messy, plus the convenient portability! I also believe that if you're going to carry it around, the design should play a part too. First off, I absolutely adored the design and size. While the diameter isn't particularly small, the overall height of the cushion is lower and slimmer, making it great for carrying around. Above all, the light purple hue is just... so pretty! It's a perfect fit! The cushion opens with a magnetic mechanism, which has just the right strength - I was very satisfied with how easily it opens. 2. Hydration This sun cushion has a moisturizing formula that's perfect for the colder seasons like now! Right from the start, the content was plentiful and hydrating, and the color of the product has a light purple tint, just like the packaging! It's a truly hydrating sun cushion formula, and rather than just being moisturizing, it has a slightly oily, nourishing feel. Later, when I checked the product description, I found out it contains high-refractive oils and skincare ingredients! I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a hydrating sun cushion! I'm usually a die-hard matte base user even in winter, but I tend to use more hydrating formulas for sunscreen in winter, so I think I'll be reaching for this often.
Cons1. Puff I felt the compatibility between the puff and the product was slightly disappointing! I tried my best to capture it in the photo, but I'm not sure if it's visible. The puff has a light feel with a slight porous texture! So when you pick up the product, the puff seems to absorb a lot of it, and when you pat it on your skin, it doesn't release the product well, which was a bit disappointing. Also, when I initially tested it by applying it directly on the back of my hand, it felt very hydrating and absorbed thinly into the skin. However, when I actually applied it on my face with the puff, it didn't spread as smoothly or feel as hydrating as I expected. The quality of the puff is somewhat disappointing, and it feels like it's diminishing the product's strengths, which is a shame. 2. Brightening Effect This might be related to what I mentioned above, but whether it's because it doesn't apply well to the skin or because it doesn't work well with my skincare routine, there wasn't much of a brightening effect that you'd expect from a product called a 'tone-up cushion'. It felt no different from applying a regular sunscreen... I guess I had high expectations because the product name is 'Lighting Tone-Up Cushion'. These days, there are products that combine sunscreen and makeup base functions, and I think I was expecting something like that. You can consider it to have about the same brightening effect as a regular sunscreen.
TipI think it would work well with a slightly bouncy, firm puff! Or sometimes I just apply it with my hands, which isn't bad either!

I diligently applied it every day, but it was always inconvenient to apply the cream formula with my hands! Using this sun cushion has been so convenient and really great. Before going out, I just need to pat it on a few times, and the puff is large, making it easy to use! It also has a cooling effect, which feels refreshing when applying. No matter how many layers I apply, it doesn't pill. I was worried that applying a purple tone-up on my yellowish skin would make me look too pale, but it brightens my complexion very naturally. Instead of looking like greasy shine, it gives a beautiful, clean glow. On days when I use this product, I often hear compliments about how good my skin looks and even get asked what I'm using!
ConsBecause of the dewy effect, it can't help but be a bit sticky, and if you don't set it with powder, it might leave slight marks when your face rubs against something. It obviously transfers onto your phone, and when you wipe it off with your hand, there's a slight stickiness. The product case is larger than expected, and I noticed that a lot of dust gets stuck on the puff. Sometimes I'd be happily patting it on without thinking, only to realize there was dust on it, which I had to scrape off with my fingernails.
