Every time I see the difference between the areas where I've applied it and where I haven't, it lifts my spirits and boosts my confidence!
ConsAs someone with redness and pigmentation issues, this product doesn't provide enough coverage. Also, when I used it daily, I experienced slight itching about twice a month.
TipI think it would be great to use this sun cushion to even out your skin tone and create a light, natural-looking base for your makeup!

Here's what I loved: 1. Incredibly moisturizing. When applied with the puff, you can feel an amazing burst of hydration. 2. True to its name as a brightening moisturizer sunscreen cushion, it definitely evens out the skin tone. It transforms a dull complexion into a radiant, healthy-looking one. 3. The product is super lightweight. Perfect for carrying around. 4. (Maru Edition exclusive) It's absolutely adorable!
ConsSome drawbacks: 1. It's quite rich in oils. On my oily T-zone, it almost feels like oil is floating on top. The oil content seems just right for my dry U-zone though. 2. It tends to pill. 3. Almost no coverage. This could be a plus if you're only looking for a natural brightening effect. 4. The case opening mechanism is a bit disappointing. Instead of a push-button that pops open automatically, it has a magnetic lid that you need to manually open like a compact mirror, which can be a bit inconvenient. (I wonder if this is just for the Maru Edition case?)

ConsFor oily skin, it feels a bit rich, so powder was a must. Being a sun cushion, it didn't provide enough coverage on its own, so I had to apply a light base with another product before using this.
TipMake sure to always carry powder with you and use it frequently. You'll really need to apply it often throughout the day.

Texture: Initially feels light, but becomes a bit heavier after a few minutes. Still, it's relatively lightweight compared to other sunscreens. 2. Formula: It's like applying a moisturizer with a slight oiliness to your face using a cushion. Perfect for daily use or when you want to skip makeup but don't want to go completely bare-faced. 3. Scent: A fresh floral scent with a hint of lemon. Not overpowering, but noticeable. Those who prefer unscented products should take note. 4. Packaging: The case is luxurious and easy to open/close. The mirror is quite large, making it useful even when not using the product. 5. Reapplication: While the product claims to be easy to reapply due to its cushion format, I can't reapply as I use powder on top (I recommend a light dusting of powder over sunscreen for longevity). 6. Skin Irritation: Unlike other sunscreen formats that irritated my skin, this one doesn't cause any irritation. It also doesn't clog pores as much as other sunscreens (though some pore-clogging is inevitable with protective products).
ConsSkin Appearance: This is the most crucial aspect, and unfortunately, there are some drawbacks. As it's a sun cushion, don't expect much coverage - it won't hide redness or small blemishes. It's more of a tone-up sun cushion, but the brightening effect feels like it's just masking the white cast. Even though I'm quite fair-skinned (I usually use shade 21), this made me look pale and sickly according to others. It might be suitable for those with very fair skin or those who apply sunscreen to their neck as well. However, I find applying to the neck bothersome, so there's a noticeable difference between my face and neck color. After setting with powder, it gives more of an oily sheen rather than a glowy finish. Despite these drawbacks, as mentioned in the pros, it's moisturizing and gentle. Some might actually prefer these aspects that I've listed as cons.
TipWhile I've listed quite a few cons, many of them are based on personal preference rather than universal issues like skin irritation. It's best to consider your own needs when reading this review. That's why I've given it 4 stars, even though it wasn't perfect for me personally. *Double Cleansing: Always double cleanse when using sunscreen. If cleansing oils, foams, or waters are too harsh for sensitive skin, I highly recommend using a cleansing milk. You can find many on sale on Hwahae. *Powder Finish: While not ideal, I feel like using powder helps with longevity and sun protection. It also improves the overall skin appearance. I recommend using loose powder applied very lightly with a brush, never with a puff. Remember, while powder application is optional, double cleansing after using sunscreen is widely recommended and essential!

The fragrance is lovely - it's like a subtle perfume. Of course, only I can smell it and it fades quickly, but it's quite pleasant. 2. Easy to reapply - it doesn't build up thickly, so I don't feel burdened when touching up while out. This is my first time using a sun cushion, and I love how convenient it is for touch-ups throughout the day. 3. The purple tint provides slight color correction - I have a bit of redness around my cheekbones, so sometimes I just apply this before stepping out. It's great for a quick fix to neutralize redness. 4. The mirror is large - When I only take this out, I don't need to bring a separate mirror, which is great. I don't like carrying many items, so this alone is perfect for light outings.
Cons1. The case feels like cheap plastic - it seems like it would break if dropped, and while the color is pretty, it looks too thin and inexpensive. 2. There's no coverage - I expected some lack of coverage since it's a sun cushion, but it's almost non-existent. On days when I wear makeup, I'll likely need to use a bit of concealer.
TipIt has a cool, refreshing feel that helps lower skin temperature slightly during hot midday hours. Just apply the sun cushion, dab on a little concealer, and voila! A natural, quick makeup look is complete.

The packaging is clean and the design is sleek. It's as comfortable to hold as regular cushions, and there's no hassle when opening or closing it. I was worried the purple formula might look too white on my yellowish, dark skin, but it actually brightened my complexion naturally without looking ghostly! It goes on semi-sheer, adding a beautiful glow that makes your skin look radiant and smooth. While the coverage isn't high, its effortless yet refined finish makes it perfect for quick, fuss-free application. True to its glowy nature, it doesn't feel dry on the skin. It's moisturizing without being sticky. It's like applying a hybrid physical-chemical sunscreen with a puff. I even layered it around my eyes and didn't experience any stinging.
ConsThis product offers very little coverage, so if you're looking for more coverage, you might want to try a beige-toned sun cushion that's more similar to a regular foundation cushion. This product is designed to correct yellowness and create a bright complexion.
TipIt's perfect for those times when you want a 'no-makeup makeup' look but don't want to go completely bare-faced. It works well even on darker, yellow-toned skin without looking unnatural.

Even when applied to slightly dry skin, this sun cushion goes on smoothly without any dead skin cells flaking off. It feels like it's doing the job of a serum too. It's perfect for seasonal transitions like now. It brightens your complexion naturally without making you look overly pale. I'm not sure how it would perform with multiple layers, as I only apply it once before my cushion foundation. It gives my face a beautiful glow and brightens it up just right!
ConsThe coverage isn't great, but I wasn't expecting much coverage from a sunscreen anyway, so it didn't bother me at all. It might be too hydrating for those with oily skin. I have combination dehydrated skin that gets dry in fall and winter, and I noticed that over time, it gives quite a glow, making powder a must-have! Also, it's great at neutralizing yellow undertones, so there might be a noticeable difference between your face and neck if you only apply it to your face. I'd recommend applying it to your neck as well!
TipWhile it doesn't offer much coverage, applying just this product alone naturally brightens up your complexion, making it perfect for a quick, light application before heading out.

Highly recommended sunscreen cushion for those who dislike fuss Being a cushion type, it's quicker and easier to apply evenly with the puff compared to squeezing out cream and spreading it with your hands. It's also convenient for touch-ups when you're out. 2. Evens out sallow complexion If your skin tone isn't uniformly bright, this sun cushion with its subtle purple base leaves your face looking fresh and even-toned. I'm quite satisfied with the result! 3. Perfect as a makeup base It works great as a base before applying makeup. While it doesn't blur pores like a primer would, it does a decent job of covering smaller pores. It creates a nice canvas for foundation or other cushions. 4. Suitable for sensitive skin I've had issues with some sunscreens causing blemishes, but this sun cushion didn't trigger any skin reactions during use. *I recommend this for those who prefer light makeup and are looking for a quick, easy-to-apply product!
ConsCons: 1. May be challenging for those with oily skin to use alone due to its rich formula. You'll need to finish with powder! 2. While the large puff is nice, it doesn't seem to dispense the product as efficiently as it could. I've switched to using a different puff. 3. Being a sun cushion, it doesn't provide as much coverage as a regular cushion. It gives a very natural look, brightening the complexion by about half a shade. If you're looking to replace your makeup with this, I'd suggest using concealer after applying the sun cushion, or using it as a makeup base before your regular routine.
TipApply it as a base before your makeup routine. For me, it brightens my complexion by half a shade, making it great as a combined sunscreen and brightening moisturizer!

As someone who prefers a foundation-free look, I love that this provides both brightening and sun protection in one step - so convenient! It applies smoothly without clumping or patchiness, even with a quick application. It also creates a great base for makeup, adhering well without any lifting. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I usually avoid drying cushions, but this one feels hydrating and moisturizing. Since sunscreen needs reapplication for effectiveness, this sun cushion makes it easy to touch up throughout the day. The Atté Vegan Relief Lighting Tone-Up Sun Cushion has been really useful for me.
ConsIt doesn't cover uneven skin texture. While it neutralizes yellow undertones, it doesn't address redness.
TipFor best results, I recommend smoothing it over your skin rather than patting it on. After it's evenly applied, then you can gently pat to help it absorb.

I like that the cushion type feels less heavy compared to other purple-tinted base products. It applies thinly and evenly for a natural look. Glow: Despite my oily skin and the dry weather, I didn't notice much shine when applying it thinly with a wedge puff. Magnetic closure: The magnetic seal at the container's opening makes it smoother and easier to open and close. Design: The translucent pastel color is subtly pretty, making it perfect for touch-ups when you're out and about.
ConsCoverage: It doesn't offer much coverage. The color is meant for evening skin tone, so using it alone can make you look a bit pale. Therefore, it's not suitable as a foundation replacement. I recommend using it strictly for tone correction before foundation or as a sunscreen cushion.
TipIf you're concerned about shine, try lightly patting on some oil-control powder. Many reviews complained about the puff, so I didn't use it. Instead, I used a Daiso wedge puff without any issues. It applies thinly and evenly, making the skin look great.
