I have combination dehydrated skin that feels tight and oily when autumn and winter come. 1. Complexion I used to use D*'s brightening moisturizer sunscreen, but this product definitely brightens more effectively. My skin tone is slightly yellow-based neutral (diagnosed as 19N for foundation at E*). This product really gives a bright, clear, and fair complexion. I used to wear sunscreen and a thin layer of foundation to work, but now I just apply this and a sun cushion - it's that effective! 2. Dryness It feels less drying on its own. It seems suitable for oily skin types, especially during seasonal changes. There's noticeably less pilling when reapplying, probably because it's less drying. However, after applying sun cushion, foundation, and powder, some dryness becomes visible during touch-ups. 3. Staying power While it might be odd to talk about staying power for a sun cushion, it definitely maintains the brightening effect longer if you control oil well, especially for oily skin. It's great for a foundation-free look! When used alone, there's almost no pilling, and skin keeps looking clear and translucent, which I found surprisingly satisfying. I've tried sun cushions and brightening cushions before, but I really like this product! However, there are a few downsides that I'll explain below.
Cons1. Stickiness It seems to have a high oil and moisture balance, which is too sticky for me as I prefer a semi-matte finish. Even after applying powder, it feels sticky to the touch, suggesting it's quite rich in oils and moisture. While sunscreens are generally oily, this one feels a bit more greasy to me. If you like a glowy finish, I recommend it! Sadly, my bangs started sticking to my forehead... 2. Amount The amount that transfers to your skin isn't exactly what you see on the puff. This means you end up using more product, and you can feel the volume decreasing quickly, which is a bit disappointing. Considering the price, the amount feels quite insufficient... That's why I deducted one star.

The magnetic closure is super convenient too. The cushion's firm texture and the dense, springy puff make it easy to control the amount of product after the initial use. It's actually a bit challenging to pick up too much product, so you end up pressing it firmly, which is perfect. Using too much can make you look overly pale, so the controlled application is a plus. I was worried the purple tint might be too noticeable on my not-so-yellow skin, but it brightens my complexion naturally. It's definitely more hydrating than the Plant Base sun cushion I used before, making it ideal for seasonal changes and winter use.
ConsIt might be too hydrating for oily skin types. By afternoon, my forehead becomes quite shiny. The moisturizing effect seems to come more from oils than water content, which is disappointing. Also, for such a hydrating formula, it doesn't absorb well. There's no 'skin-hugging' feeling, so I find myself patting it in vigorously when applying.
